YOUR CHIMNEY SWEEP INC

We first used this company two years ago, to have a routine chimney cleaning and inspection performed. The inspection revealed a cracked chimney lining, which meant that we could not hook up our new wood burning stove until we had a metal liner installed. Unfortunately, a metal liner was not in the budget for quite some time, even though Your Chimney Sweep, Inc., provided the most competitive quote. Two years later, when we were finally able to proceed, the company honored the quote it gave us in 2009. We called in December 2011, and they were able to come out to take measurements within a day or two and then were able to return and install the liner and hook up the stove a week after that. Thanks to Your Chimney Sweep, Inc., we were able to get our stove up and running in time for cozy fires over the winter holidays.

I called on short notice to schedule a cleaning because my fireplace, which had been working well, was beginning to smoke. Your Chimney Sweep put me on their tight schedule so service could be performed before a party at my house. The scheduler was VERY pleasant and accommodating. The service provider called in advance to see if it was ok to come early, and it most certainly was. He cleaned the chimney thoroughly, suggested we install a cap, which we agreed to, and recommended and provided an estimate for some external masonry repair for a later time. He completed the work without leaving an ash to indicate he'd been there. The fireplace worked beautifully the night of the party, much to my relief. I will definitely use them again.

I liked that they were professional, thorough, and they bend over backwards to make sure they keep everything clean. They also offered a follown up visit in case I had any issues.

We had 2 services performed. Per Angie's list recommendation, we had them come out to due inspection and cleaning of our 30 yr old wood burning fireplace and do a chimney sweep. Those services were performed well and cost ~$160. Will use them year after year. Very good service. The next part is where they separated they separated themselves from other companies. A few weeks later, I noticed a leak that I believed was coming from the flashing around my chimney. I called Your Chimney Sweep as well as a few other companies. Your Chimney Sweep was the only company that altered there schedule to fix the flashing leak promptly. I was getting the run around in other companies and was going to look at a very expensive repair (that I'm sure would have fixed the leak) but would have costed $1000+. They came out, looked at the flashing, and felt good that a relatively minor repair using a "flash seal" compound would take care of the leak and would be under warranty for many years. We felt this would be the best approach to start with instead of committing to much more costly repairs. Your Chimney Sweep fit us into their schedule to do the repair before the outside temperatures dropped to allow for proper adhesion. They did the repair on 11/2/2011. We had a significant rain a few weeks later and there were absolutely no leaks on the inside of the house. The flash seal repair cost $195. I definitely recommend them.

He was great. Joe was extremely prompt, courteous, and he kept everything very clean. He told us about some problems that were starting to appear and went over options on how to fix that.

Excellent service. covers everything up and puts down big drop cloths so they track nothing in or out. Highly recommend!!Will use again! Price I paid included a optional heat shield, so the actual inspection and chimney sweep is cheaper.

Not only did they do a great job and had a good price. He was honest and even told me how I needed to have the firewall fixed because when the home was built they did not finish the firewall. I would use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

The chimney on our new house was leaking. Unfortunately, our builder has gone bankrupt and therefore is not honoring the warranty. Once we found Your Chimney Sweep at least we were able to get the problem fixed. The builder had not finished the top of the chimney at all. They had just put a piece of wallboard on top of it. Unbelievable. At least it is now working, and is not leaking, although it was a large unanticipated expense. Your Chimney Sweep is truly one of the best companies I have ever worked with. They were, kind, courteous, responsive, took pictures of the chimney from the roof so that I could see what was going on, and then emailed them to my husband so that he could see as well. They were prompt and finished the job a week earlier than anticipated. Awesome experience!

We contacted Joe of Your Chimney Sweep after consulting Angies List for possible service providers. Our initial contact was via phone during which we discussed our issues. They outlined their process and we scheduled a time for an on-site inspection. Joe arrived on-time and after some brief discussion he inspected both fireplaces and the chimney cap. He took digital pictures of the inside of the chimney flues as well as the chimney and chimney cap. The flues were fine and required no cleaning or maintenance but the cap was badly corroded and showed signs of leakage. It was also poorly designed and allowed water to stand on the chimney top which further exacerbated the problem. The fireplaces were in good working order but had been improperly sealed with insulation in an attempt to control air leakage. Joe suggested we remove the insulation and use magnetic seals to close the vents on the fireplace when it was not is use. He also suggested we replace the chimney cap. He provided an estimate on the spot based on measurements he took and showed me how it would be designed to prevent standing water. He suggested using stainless steel rather than galvanized metal for durability and to prevent future rust stains. We agreed with his suggestions and paid a 50% deposit. He indicated that he would schedule an installation as soon as the custom cap was completed. After about 3-weeks he called and scheduled the installation visit. He arrived promptly, removed the old cap and installed the new unit. He took care to paint the flue caps before replacing them in the new unit. The job was completed in about 2 hours.Joe was extremely easy to work with. He made good recommendations and made sure I understood why each was needed. He did not try to suggest unnecessary service work. He was careful around our property and we are very pleased with the results. I have recommended him to several of our friends and highly recommend him to others who need this type of work performed.

They came on time. They cleaned up their mess. They worked diligently the entire time. They did an excellent job. The work was a little more extensive than they thought, but they stuck with their quote. It is beautiful. We have not tested the fireplace just yet as he told us to wait a couple of days. We were very pleased. Their price is fair for what they do. They do a very thorough job. They even check our chimney from the roof each year. Since I burn my fire a great deal, he suggested I get it cleaned twice a year. They are just really helpful.

There was a chase cover on top of the chimney and it was damaged and we were not aware of that. He had a digital camera so he took pictures of it and explained to us what damage was there. We liked that we were actually able to see the pictures of the damage because otherwise we would have just had to take his word for it. We thought it was a good thing to make us aware of what he was seeing. He is having it made and will be back to install it. He explained everything about the new cover.

They came out and did an inspection, it turned out we didn't need the chimney swept. They gave us tips for the fireplace and did an inspection. We will call them out again when the chimney is ready to be swept.

Mr. Sauter arrived at the appointed time promptly. Flooring and all furniture were completely covered and protected. He showed me photos of the interior of the chimney before and after the cleaning. The job was completed quickly and the room was left very clean.

I had water leaking inside the fireplace. I contacted Joe Sauter of Your Chimney Sweep along with 3 other companies for an estimate. Joe came out, examined the fireplace and pointed out what he thought was the problem area. He ran water from the hose on the suspect area and had his assistant go inside the house to view the chimney from the inside. Immediately water was coming inside. Joe said if I wanted to save some money I could apply some silicone caulk myself and he was pretty sure that would take care of my problem. I took his advice and so far haven't had any more problems. Joe didn't charge anything. I cancelled the appointments for the other 3 companies. I had previously used Your Chimney Sweep to repair the furnace chimney a couple of years ago. I highly recommend Your Chimney Sweep for any chimney problems you may have.

The installation went very well. They showed up on time; were fully prepared and professional. He took time to answer questions and explain the operation of the new damper. Best of all- he did a thorough job of cleaning the firebox and made sure that no dirt was left in the room when finished.

They came in to do the work just as they had told us when they would the work. However when they were finished we showed them of their original instructions and they agreed to finish up those items. It was to be done in 2 to 4weeks and it took longer than that. The finished the project on 7/15 and all the work was done. Some of the delay was due to the weather..

I have had them here twice. There was another company that I had used before that told me that I needed something replaced. They asked me if they could take care of it, but then they didn’t find the parts. When Your Chimney Sweep came out, they did it right away. They also did a good job. So, I have used them a couple of times now. I usually get this work done every three years. The first one was probably at least 4 to 5 years ago. I would give them the highest on everything. Their price is decent and they clean up after themselves, which is nice. They come on time as well. They didn't put anything on the furniture, but they did cover the floors since I have hardwood floors.

They cover everything up. They move the furniture. They make sure everything is moved out of the way.

I could not be happier. I had mentioned that I had just had my carpets cleaned. Floor and hearth were totally protected with tarps. There wasn't so much as a smudge anywhere! Joe was on time, professional, informative, and really good. He worked efficiently and carefully, explaining to me what he was encountering. He could have told me I need additional repairs and I would have gone for it, but he advised that they simply were not necessary at this time. I cannot begin to recommend him enough. What a delight to have work performed well and be left with the feeling that I truly got my money's worth. Not only would I have him again, but I have already recommended him to another person.

I am a repeat customer because Your Chimney Sweep always does an excellent job for a reasonable price. They also maintain records from year to year, which is helpful for maintenance of the chimney.
