Description of Work: THIS COMPANY CAME IN TO DO ROUTINE SERVICE ON OUR FIREPLACE. THE TECHNICIAN NOTED THAT THE CLAY FLUE LINER WAS CRACKING AT THE TOP OF THE CHIMNEY. HE OFFERED AN ESTIMATE OF $395 TO REPLACE THE TOP OF THE FLUE LINER AND COAT THE CONCRETE AT THE TOP OF THE CHIMNEY. I THOUGHT THE ESTIMATE OF $395 WAS GROSSLY INFLATED SINCE THE MATERIALS WERE MINIMAL IN COST AND THE WORK WAS TO BE COMPLETED IN AN HOUR OR LESS. I WOULD BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY FOR CHIMNEY REPAIRS SINCE IN MY EXPERIENCE THEIR CHARGES ARE INFLATED FOR THE WORK THAT IS TO BE PREFORMED.
