Provider showed up late. upon arrival he appeared as though he was disgruntled and unfriendly. I felt like our service call was a major inconvenience for him within about 5 seconds of his arrival... even before he had a chance to inspect anything. His response to questions were borderline surly. He inspected the non insert chimney and said nothing. He began to text on his personal mobile device, then he inspected the downstairs chimney insert... brought out some technical specs from the manufacturer of the stove which he called outdated and improperly installed. Then he stated we would need to buy a new unit and insert for him to do the work. We've had this unit serviced in the past without any issue. I cannot recommend this company unless your idea of a wonderful experience is a pressure sale on a new unit by a late and grumpy service person.

They were very nice. They did try to make an effort to do it but they don’t have the proper skills and Tools to do the work.

The cleaning went along routinely, and when the replacements were discovered to be necessary, he proceeded to order them and reschedule a timely visit to install them. The catalyst had been replaced several times before but this was the first time in 12 years we had to replace its housing. Neither the manufacturer website or customer service dept had the official instructions available, and some of the stove parts were somewhat warped by continued high temperature use. The process ended up being quite a challenge but Joe showed me everything he did and eventually was able to successfully install both housing and catalyst. Though it took much longer than expected, he did not charge me extra for the additional time. As usual, for both the original cleaning and also the parts installation he put down tarps to prevent any soiling of carpets or floors. At the end of the job he vacuumed up any errant soot and carefully folded up the tarps before removing them. Joe and all their workers I have encountered over the past years are polite, professional, knowledgeable and neat. I highly recommend "Your Chimney Sweep" for all your chimney and wood stove needs!

I thought he was reasonable for all the work that was done. They were here early, worked all day and didn't even take a lunch.

They make sure the fire place is all ready to use again. They just use their tools to go and look into the chimney, and sweep and clean it out. If they see any concern with the chimney, they let us know. If it’s okay, then they let us know the same. They just make sure the chimney is clear of any debris or anything. They get everything all cleaned up. We don’t remember how we found them. Sometimes we use Angie’s List online or go through the yellow pages. It’s been so long off and on, and so we couldn’t tell how we found them. We think they’re about average in terms of price with the others that we called and got estimates on.

It was hard to find someone to replace the part as this was a manufactured fireplace. We found the parts ourselves and Your Chimney Sweep did the work. They explained that the fireplace could not be used until repaired because the fire plates had burned through. It took a long time to get the parts but once the pieces were ready, installation was quick, clean and timely.

I've had them before and I was pleased with them. They were certainly responsive to my questions and my needs. They got the job done and I have no complaints. The insert was expensive but I think they were good for everything they did.

Ron, the technician was awesome! He was very prompt and thorough. I've used them on several occasions and found them to be very good at what they do. I WILL use Your Chimney Sweep again in the near future on a rental property I own.

It went well. Joe was very friendly. I would recommend "Your Chimney Sweep". As a matter of fact, I have already scheduled an appointment with them after the winter season.

Brian arrived, showed identification and explained what he would be doing. A video inspection was completed and he was able to show me problem areas and suggest ways to fix the problems. Your Chimney Sweep was selected to complete the repairs and the work was done as promised and again I was shown a video of the completed repairs. The work was completed within the estimate.

The scheduling went very quickly and they were able to fit us in within 1 week. When the owner arrived, he was very professional, explaining the entire process and ensuring that all interior spaces were well protected with drop clothes. As he worked, he used his vacuum and ensured no dust or debris entered our home. He explained the process and his findings as he went. He also took time at the end to recommend a cleaning schedule based on the amount of use and level of build-up that he uncovered. He didn't seem to try to oversell us on the frequency.

We did not use this provider as they did not return our phone call requesting an estimate.

I have been using their services for ten years on an annual basis. I like that they are a family run business. They are consistent and always do a great job. They make sure to keep my floors and furniture covered in order to keep them clean. I never feel like they try to cheat me or up sell me.

I have happily used this company before. Scheduling appointments is simple, they are efficient, professional and do a great job of cleaning up when they're done. i will continue to use and recommend this company.

Owner Joseph Sauter was punctual, and brought in drop cloths to cover the floor from the front door to the fireplace. He cleaned the firebox and chimney, then surprised me with a no-extra-charge LED-lit video check of the inside of the chimney and the taper above the damper. He had removed the fireplace screens and the damper for better access. I mentioned that I was planning to spray the exterior of the chimney with a silicone or Thompsons water seal product, and he pointed out that either would trap moisture inside the chimney brickwork and that would have negative effect. My goal was to prolong the life of the grout and stop the bricks from spalling (pieces chipping off in the winter). He has a product that both repels water and breathes like Goretex so that water is not trapped inside. We will schedule this exterior treatment in the near future, as having masonry repaired is vastly more expensive.. He also checked the grout in the firebrick lining the fireplace, noting that water that had gotten inside the 12"x12 " flue before we put on the stainless steel chimney cap and had started to wash away the high temperature grout which is evidently water soluble. Our fire bricks still look good at this point. We scheduled next years' appointment before he left.

Joe not only cleans the flue and hearth, he also give me a good idea of the status of my flue and whether or not I need to do remedial work in the future. So far, I still have a couple of years before I need to reline this 1920 flue. He does an excellent job and there is never a mess. About everyother year I have him clean out the dryer vent.

The service was prompt. They did a wonderful job. I would definitely use them again.

He came out and performed a dryer vent inspection, also sweeped the chimney. He was professional and on time. Pictures were given before and after the work was performed. He was very helpful and informative also gave advise for the future. Something that stood out was that he did not try to upsell us on any services just gave suggestions and helpful tips going forward. Highly recommend to anyone.

Ask for Joe. Joe is professional and courteous. He knows his business and is efficient. Instead of selling me a new fireplace screen, he sprayed on some oil, and my old screen works fine now. He made several recommendations which I will have done in the near future. He was honest about what really should be done and what could be done but isn't urgent or necessary. His assistant was also professional and courteous. If ever I need fireplace/chimney maintenance again, I will without a doubt call Your Chimney Sweep.

I use the fireplace heavily during the winter and want to ensure that everything is safe. Joe was very professional. Family room rug was covered with canvas. Fireplace chimney was cleaned with a heavy duty vacuum. Entire chimney was inspected and a report provided. Doors and screens to fireplace were reinstalled. Everything was cleaned up. I found out that not only does Joe provide this service but he trains others to do this job.

Called ahead to say he was on the way. Arrived on time, set up quickly, performed the service very timely. Went on the roof to check out the top of the chimney. Took a picture to show me when he reported his findings. Joe was very good, but did not wear his top hat!!!

We have used this company for the past 5 years and have ALWAYS received very professional and friendly service. They are always prompt and advise us if they will be a little late.

Fireplace cleaning/chimney sweep done on first visit. Superb clean service. We asked for a chimney cap - and were very happy with the custom cap which was installed a week later. We were given advice on safe usage of our ventless gas log insert which we purchased elsewhere. Will definitely use service again.

The entire chain of events was well done. Setting the date, follow-up that they would be on time, was on time, very professional in manner, kept the house clean from his work, checked the chimney cap, and answered our questions. A first class company and a first class person who performed the work.
