They were very responsible and did a lot of work for no charge even though the problem was caused by someone else. They are going to spray another coat of sealant for no charge to make sure it doesn't leak.

I chose them because their visit fee was the lowest at $65. The person on the phone was also knowledgeable and not at all aggressive (another company I called was going to charge me a gas fee and was pushy). The tech arrived on time and he did a very thorough job of inspection. He identified many issues with my chimney, not surprising that it is an older home. I was not aware how bad it was, since I had owned the house for 5 years and it had come out okay in the inspection, but through the pictures he showed me, it was pretty obvious. He walked me around outside and spent a lot of time answering my questions. He also gave me options about the work being done and also said they were researching some new products that might save me money down the road, depending if I decided I went through all the repairs that needed done. He also gave me some things to keep an eye on and how it could be repaired by a foundation company if it occurred.

I will continue to schedule this service every 6 months. They are true professionals.

He had to put an exhaust mechanism on the front of the house to clean out the clothes dryer because my other one was not safe. He was able to get this fixed for me. He showed up on time when he said he would. He was very nice, I enjoyed having him out; he was easy to talk with. He cleaned up when they were through. I would use them again and would recommend them.

Joe arrived on time and looked at the chimney to be cleaned. They covered the floor with tarps and set to work and within an hour he had completed the cleaning. They were very neat and the whole experience was pleasant. Joe was very patient in explaining everything that he had found in his inspection of the firebox and chimney inside and out.

I was going to be at work when they arrived, I called their office and explained the situation, so they came and inspected the old cap. They left a not for me explaining their recommendation and why. They were very professional and were very nice. I would definitely use them again.

It went very well, the work was done excellently and in a timely fashion. The only quibble I had was with punctuality; the first day we hadn't actually set a specific time other than "first thing in the morning", but it was late enough I called them to see where they were before they arrived; after that no more than maybe 20-30 minutes later than expected.

They did a good job. They were courteous and thorough. I would use them again.

They looked at it, took photos and comes to find out it was a roofing issue. They did a great job on communication and follow up. They even provided photos to give to the roofers. They did not charge me a dime for it.

If I ever need to use their services again I would not hesitate to call them.

Great! He was a little late, but called to say he was running behind. Very polite and kept my house clean throughout the entire process.

We recently moved into a home with a gas fireplace. We'd been using it frequently, but it suddenly started giving off a strange odor. I called Your Chimney Sweep to schedule an inspection. They returned my call promptly and were able to send someone within a few days. The serviceman inspected the logs, pan, and chimney flue. Naturally, there was no odor while he was here (!), so a definite cause could not be determined. But, there was a lot of carbon build-up and he suspected that may be the problem. He repositioned the logs for a more proper burn, and there's been no odor since. He recommended that we replace the log set soon, as the logs and the pan were in pretty bad shape.

Good job and kept the area very clean. Reported on crown and firebox condition, and replaced a cotter pin.

They were quick to respond to our emails and even offered to do the inspection for free.

Very thorough and helpful. They explained things very well. And they were very friendly.

He removed a piece of plywood that was on top so that he could see in the chimney. It took about 2 weeks to get the pan made, and it was hundreds of dollars less than another company. Joseph was a very polite gentleman.

They called to confirm appointment, then called to ask permission to arrive early. They did the work as promised. They offered helpful advice for future service. I was quite happy with the job. They offered a $10.00 discount for being a member of Angie's List.

They were very professional and knowledgeable. He tried very hard to find a dryer vent that was tricky to get to. He made us some good advice as well on how to solve some problems on our own. Overall I was very pleased.

The first visit was on time for cleaning and inspection. Ron and his helper explained what they would be doing, and then made preparations. They spread a tarp over the carpet before starting, then used a long handled brush and vacuum to clean out all the soot. They were very careful and did not cause any dust or soil the carpet, and were very professional. Ron arrived right on time again for the repair. He did an excellent job, and kept me informed about what he was doing. The chimney is high and difficult to access, due to complex roof angles. He had to set up a special scaffolding and used two ladders to get to the work. He was very pleasant, and answered all my questions. There was one crack that he missed that was hard to see. We did not discover it until the job was completed. Ron came back out and corrected it, even though getting to it was very difficult. I was very pleased job Ron did, and I would recommend them for any chimney work or cleaning.

They were punctual and incredibly clean. He talked over everything with me and saved me money by telling me I only needed it done once every three years.

My first impression was terrific. I explained that I had another appointment that afternoon, and that the work would need to be done by 1:30 p.m. We set an appointment for 12:30. I received a call at 10:00 a.m. from the company indicating that the technician was running an hour behind schedule and would not be at my home until 1:30, if that was a problem, I was to call. I called twice before noon, and again after noon to indicate I could not make a 1:30 appointment. I left a message on the third attempt that I would not reschedule, and referenced Angie's List and that call was finally returned. I asked if we could reschedule after today's final appointment, and was told that would make the day too late for the technician. They cancel end of day appointments when they get so far behind. I was told the chances of getting the work done this year, with a rescheduled appointment were 'slim' due to the lateness of the year, and the weather. I could not be less satisfied.

It went fabulously! Ron came out and looked at the chimney and fireplace. It was a bigger job than we were hoping for, but the whole thing went very smoothly. Ron was very professional and I was comfortable to have him in our home. He explained everything to me very clearly. We scheduled the work, and they called first thing in the morning to tell me they had to cancel on a rainy day. We rescheduled, and he was here on time and worked very efficiently and quickly. It started to rain, so he didn't get the flashing done, but he's coming back to finish up this week. He showed us how to operate the new damper and answered all of our questions. Really great to work with!
