Window Man Inc

Our three season sun room had three large sliding windows which were quite heavy and getting more difficult to operate. The room faces S-SW so it gets the full heat of the day from about 9 am to 7 pm in July - August which causes the room to be too hot to really enjoy during those months. To help correct these problems (and others I won't list here) we decided to have the windows replaced with double hung windows with reflective film installed. We solicited quotations for this project from three "A" rated companies on Angie's List. I believe any one of the companies would have done a good job. Window Man was not the lowest bidder but both my Wife & I felt very comfortable with the salesman mainly because he made certain he understood what we were hoping to accomplish and because we didn't feel pressured into purchasing the most costly windows he had to offer. Additionally, their headquarters was located very close to our home. Once the windows were ordered and received by Window Man, we were contacted to arrange for the installation date. The installed arrived right on time and immediately started to work. I'm pretty noisy and like to see what I'm getting for my money so I hung around during the tear-out and installation process. I was grateful that the installer had no objection to my question and made me feel very much at ease. I was very pleased with all aspects of the project.

This is a great company to work with. From the beginning or the process to the end result, This was a really good experience. The marketing manger, Joe Daniels meet with me for the estimate for this project. He was on time and very easy to talk to. He did not try to pressure me into buying a more costly product then was needed, and he was easy to contact with any questions that arose later. They measured for all seven windows,and said that there would be about five weeks for them to me made and ready to install. Right on time, they called ans set a time to install them. The installer,Hank, was a very nice young man and I could tell he was very knowledgeable with his trade. He was very much interested in making sure all the windows were level and looking good from inside and the outside of the sunroom. The price was right and the experience was excellent. You can't ask for more than that! I highly endorse this company. Thank you Window Man.

Prices were very fair but quality was not compromised. All aspects of estimate and installation were very professional. Complete installation done the same day and earlier than anticipated. Communication regarding timing, price, etc. was done throughout all processes. Very pleased with turnout on every level including cleanup. Totally would recommend them.

They were quick with their service. Their rates were reasonable. Supposedly, they are nationally certified window installers. I guess this is some kind of certification that not many people in Indiana have.

From the initial phone call to the installation all was very professional. What makes Window Man exceptional is their responsiveness and communication during the entire process. We are moving up the next phase of window replacement due to our extreme satisfaction with our experience with all employees of Window Man.

I recently finished the installation of all my windows with Window Man. They came an installed half of the windows in March 2012 and did an excellent job. I had them out again in October 2012 to finish the remaining windows. They provide a good product at a fair price. They are on time, professional and provide great service. I plan to use them again for another home I have. I would recommend using them.

The overal experience with Window Man Inc was excellent. The installers were obviouosly very knowledgeable and good craftsmen. Before they started, they explained to me exactly what they would be doing and were very respectful of the fact that I was working from home that day. They removed the old windows, installed the new windows, wrapped and chaulked in a matter of hours. They covered the floors before working, cleaned up all of the debris, hauled off all of the old windows and debris. After they left, you would not have even known that they had been there except for the beautiful new windows. The quaility of the installation is outstanding, the chaulking is a work of art. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to replace their windows. Window Man Inc was my replacement window hero!!

From start to finish I had a wonderful experience with Window Man. The office manager was pleasant and responsive. The sales person was on time, informative and not pushy. The owner met me as planned to take measurements and explain about lead paint. The installer was on time, quick, professional and tidy. I plan to replace the balance of the windows next summer and Window Man will be my choice. Their service and products are exceptional. They treated me with care even though it was a relatively small order.

They were very prompt and professional. They did a good job in communicating with us. The work was satisfactory.

This is my second experience with Window Man Inc and once again, I am very pleased at both the quality of the product and the professionalism of the team! From the beginning, the order process was very smooth and straight-forward. I had worked with Window man last fall so my windows had already been measured, so all I had to do was call my salesman Joe to get the remainder of my windows lined up for installation. Joe made the whole process super easy for me, even meeting me at my office to sign the contract and receive the down payment! When the windows were installed, it was scorching hot outside and the caulk didn't set up correctly. I called their office and they were quick to correct the issue. I am overwhelmed by the incredibly beautiful improvement to my house's appearance and I think the quality of the work is very good for the price. I would absolutely recommend Window Man to all my friends and family!

Window Man is a big company but they gave a B presentation, A service and A prices.

The work was done very professionally. While they were here doing that work I had asked them about four other windows that I needed done and they sent me a proposal on April 16th for the other four windows. I signed the proposal and gave them half of the money. I had asked them to hold off on doing the work right away because I just wanted to think on it a little bit longer, which they agreed to. I read through the proposal and realized that they gave me a $50 discount on the 7 windows they installed previously. I called the office and spoke with a woman, Holly, who mentioned that they do not give discounts. Well I let her know that I was given a discount through Angie's List, so I continued to tell her that I noticed I paid $189 for each window when they installed the 7 windows and $350 each for the 4 windows. I was told originally I was getting $350 windows, but according to Holly they installed $189 windows but with all the extra things they added to the window it made it a $350 window. I was under the impression that I was getting the $350 windows in the first place. There is nothing wrong with the windows, but I was just unaware that I was getting the $189 windows. The contract states that there are no extra costs, but according to Holly I paid extra costs to make the window worth $350 which was not in my proposal. According to Holly's figures and math, I was to pay $1323 total for the 7 windows, but I paid $2450. I sent them a letter letting them know that I was not pleased with the way things transpired as it is not clear to me why the total cost was as high as it was. I will not be using them install the other 4 windows.

The owner in fact did come out after the initial sales contact and measure our windows. We weren't that impressed with the sales person, as gave the impression, " take them or leave them. " We went ahead only because of the reviews of the company on Angie's List. The installer, Hank Mabry was very nice and professional and did a wonderful job. I don't know what disease we have, but after the windows were installed nobody has called or came out to visit; nobody. Nothing. We had told them prior to the installation that we would be needing several more windows when when we had the money. All the reviews from other members about how they follow up....nothing to date. I don't know why we would want to call them even though the installer, which we would request again if we used their company; why we would beg them. There are other companies in Indianapolis

The 5 windows I ordered did end up costing more than the advertised rate. BUT- installed, they were exactly what I had originally thought they would cost- around $300 each. This was partially because they are very low to the ground and required a tempered bottom glass pane for safety. *Every window has a lifetime warranty and also carries a one-time transfer of warranty which is nice in case you decide to sell your home down the road.* The install went pretty well with a few minor set backs. My previous windows were the originals, aluminum frames from the '70's and they had a hard time removing them at first, but quickly rebounded from that and had the windows in and looking beautiful in no time which was especially appreciated, considering it's December! I am super satisfied with the results, the exterior trim is beautiful and makes a huge difference in the overall appearance of the house. I will be using Window Man again next spring to replace a few more windows. Since they have already measured, I can just call and make an appointment for future install. So easy! I've required the services of a few different providers this year and by far, Window Man has been the best! I look forward to working with them again next year:)

I liked the guy and he was really nice. He was way too expensive. The quote amount was for $2500. I liked him. He initially gave us a price, and then he came back and said that it was going to be more expensive than the quote that he gave us. He was going to give us the price that he quoted. He actually gave us some less information in our quote but I liked him. He came out here on a Saturday and brought the windows out for my husband to see it and stuff. The first time that we met, my husband wasn’t here. So it was a good experience and I don’t know what we’ll end up doing. I would consider using him. It’s just that my husband stained windows before and it just seems like a kind of rip off. It sounded like they were charging us for labor and it just seemed a lot for something that my husband knows how to do. We will use his services again in the future but the only thing holding us back now is the price. The price that he quoted was way too much for us.

He was very very good and very nice. I can't say enough about them. They really have customer service in mind and they really do a good job.

Had concern with air leaking, from sliding door. They responded uqickly and it took tow different tries, but they did solve problem. Also, when service rep. was here to install additional windows, he noticed that the caulk from another installation, had pulled away from window. He did quickly repair situation, and I'm keeping eye out, to be sure I don't have similar problem again.

It went well. He was very professional. It took much longer than I was expecting, mainly due to his very, very unhurried pace. I think he was here for an hour and a half. I think the visit could have been done in 45 minutes or less. I appreciate that he was trying not to push me or make me feel like this was a "sales job, " but that's what this kind of situation is, in fact, and I wish it all had taken less time. I won't use Windowman in part because of the high price ($1,020 per window!) and because I was never sure from the beginning that I want to destroy the historical character of this 1920s house by getting rid of the original sash windows. I'm grateful for the visit and estimate, but now I know I don't want replacement windows. I'd still recommend Windowman for someone who does.

Their price was in the contract that I had with the company that did my three seasons room. They did excellent work. Their personnel were very professional. They would ask me if I had any questions. Everything was done perfectly and everything lined up the way it was supposed to be. They came back and showed me as to how I could raise and lower the windows. They showed me as to how I could wash them by folding them in. They were very professional. They contacted me over the phone to check if I liked the windows and if there were any problems with them.

The salesman, Steve Reed, came to the house to give us an estimate. He arrived early, which caught my husband off-guard but was fine with me. He was very friendly and the pitch was low pressure, which I was looking for, but maybe a little too casual. He didn't measure the windows while he was there and took our word on the count, which turned out to be off by one. He explained to us some rules about tempered glass that two other salesmen later said weren't true; not sure which is the case, but thought I would mention it. The estimate came in around $358/window, which seemed a little low (even though the billboards say "$189 Installed!"), and the figure was simply jotted on a flier. We worried that there would be add-ons later in the game or that installation would be shoddy because we got the feeling that he just wasn't trying to impress us. When he said we were getting a discount that was only good for the next 24 hours, that it should have expired a week ago but it was extended and we could take advantage if we just let him know right away that we wanted to sign a contract, he lost my business—that's too salesman-y for my taste and makes me feel like I'm being had. That said, I may have followed up with more questions to give Window Man another chance had I not found another provider that I wanted to work with.

Arrived 15 minutes before scheduled time. Windows were installed and completed by mid to late afternoon. Limited light because of December installation. Had one small incident which was acknowledged immediately. Had to wait for response from other company (seasonal) for pricing. Quote finally received and submitted to Window Man. Quick response from Window Man. Now waiting on other company. Initially heard about Window Man on WIBC and then viewed on Angie's List. Recommend using this company. This company is honest and upfront and interested in their customers.

They did not want to repair the window and wanted to replace it. I found that to be strange as I wanted the window to be repaired. I thought they were professional, on time, and I did not have any problem with their estimate process. The estimate they gave was in the ball park with the other estimates we got. However, we decided to put the work off.

We here at Angie's List had a set of windows that had gone bad and needed them replaced. Rance and his crew were great at coming out, getting us the quote in a timely manner, and getting everything ordered for us ASAP. When the windows came in, they were prompt in calling us to schedule the installation and see what our timing needs were. Since this was an office building with mainly phone work, we scheduled for a Saturday and they were prompt and courteous when they arrived. Hank was great at the installation, and kept me updated when i would check on the progress. He did a great job, and was very thorough in cleaning up and making sure we were satisfied. These guys are great! We've used them several times in the past, and they've become the Angie's List dedicated service provider for windows. We ALWAYS call them before anyone else now as they seem to understand our needs and can recommend things to help us out. If you get a chance, definitely use them!

The sales representative arrived on time, provided us all the information we needed to make a decision and a quote. We ordered the windows, which because of the time of year and increase in business took about 4 weeks to be manufactured. Another team member came to accurately measure all of our windows. He was also prompt and thorough. When the windows arrived, the scheduler called to arrange an installation date. On the date of installation the crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job installing and wrapping our new windows. They worked as though they were installing them at their own houses with meticulous detail. We are very happy with our new windows. One of the aspects about the company that impressed us is that all of the employees (with the exception of one) are related in some way. So you really have a family taking care of you.

Salesman was right on time and very personable and professional. Owner came to the house a couple of days later to measure and it was like showing a friend around the house - polite, friendly, and down to business. Windows were ordered and were in within 2 weeks. Installers arrived Friday morning at 8:00 on the dot and did not hesitate to get started. In my experience with other projects the installers have been the biggest worry and these guys broke my stereotype. I could tell they were anxious to get started but due to my past experiences I needed to go over everything a second time and they went right along with me without a compliant, shoulder shrug or even the slightest sigh. 16 windows installed, 16 windows removed, all trash was gone by 3 pm. I couldn't beleive it. I've been through h*** with this house and they were absolutely amazing. Window frames were undamaged, couldn't find one knick on the windows or any walls (other than what was already on the walls), caulking around windows was perfect and clean. I have never had an experience like this with any contractor/handyman service. This is the first company i have ever been able to recommend to friends (and I already have) without some level of worry. The only bad news is that we replaced every window so we will not need Window Man again anytime soon.....unless they somehow get into the landscaping business.
