+ -1 moreIt was free, we bought a service agreement through them.Its been too long for me to know how much we pay for it. They were pretty good. As I recall, they came out when they said they would. The guy was pretty nice. He explained what he had found, and didn't try to up-sell anything. He just told us what he had found, and the cost if we were going to do anything. I think so, yes. I don't really know, nothing comes to my mind. I know its been a while.

+ -1 moreBe sure to shop around on price before enlisting the service of Williams Comfort Air. I was charged $235 for a $25 part and ten minutes labor and the part did not fix the issue. Was quoted $770 for a part that I later bought for $330 and it took me less that thirty minutes to replace. Be sure to ask what exactly they are doing have an idea of the cost of the part before paying them anything.

+ -1 moreWhen I called to schedule my winter maintenance in December I was told the first available time was February 10th. When they came out they found a weak capacitor, high resistance igniter, and dirty flame sensor. They offered to replace the two parts for $377 and extend my maintenance plan for another $179 ($556 for those counting). I found both parts at Walmart.com for less than $25. So install is $350? When the technician and parts are here already? I declined both the repairs and the extension of my maintenance plan. Those are some shady business practices. At least they cleaned the sensor (I hope).

+ -1 moreBasically, it was the humidifier, they didn’t hook up when they were setting up my air conditioning unit. So, when they came back, they said it’s not working and they found out that the water part had not been connected correctly. Had no idea, they’re the ones that discovered it, told me that there was an error even though it’s been over a year. They sent their plumber out, hooked it back up. They didn’t even question it, they said, “it’s our error, we apologize!” Then they sent another heating and cooling person out to double check to make sure the plumber had done everything correct and everything was working fine. They were nice, it was reasonable, it was just an error. What they did when they came back, they found their error, found another problem with the water line and they corrected it. It was something else that the plumber found and he did something extra there. I was quite happy. Yea, I was unhappy that it didn’t get done right the first time, but it wasn’t anything major. So, I am happy!

+ -1 moreWhen they did the annual checkup, they found out there was a problem and it was partly because of their error and they fixed it. They did more than needed and then came back to check that it was still okay, but with another service. They used their plumbing company to fix it and then they came back with a air conditioning & heating specialist to double check it. So, they were very efficient, they followed through and they took care of their error at no cost and no questions asked.
Description of Work: I had Williams Comfort Air. They did a follow up of something they were working on after doing the annual checkup.

+ -1 moreGuy said that there were two parts bad, gave us a quote of $1889 to fix last night. If we fixed today save $200 (charge for late opening fee), so $1689 We went without heat last night, called another company today. They said our furnace was still under Trane's warranty. Labor is going to be $300 to fix. Only one part is needed. The other part the tech said isn't bad. I now remember we called their Plumbing Co last year when our water heater went out. (again late night, basement flooded from the water in the heater pouring out). We got a quote of $4000 to replace the heater. We bought same heater at Menards for $500, paid $150 to have it installed. It seems that maybe the late night calls are a scam for the service fee. The plumbing trip was $79, and last night cost $94. Even though the guy did come out last night, I feel it was a huge waste of money as they provided a ridiculous quote for parts not needed.
Description of Work: Furnace went out, wouldn't come on. Williams was the only Company that was available to come out.

+ -1 moreTheir service tax were really personable and thoughtful and they were always just easy to work with. I would rate them "A grade" for everything. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Williams Comfort Air and I have been using them for seven years probably. They come twice a year and the last time I used them was probably five months ago. I think I am on an annual plan probably closer to $300 for those two services where they do complete system checkup.

+ -1 moreExcellent service experience. Furnace went out during the night on Friday. Called Saturday morning and service tech was on the way in less than an hour. The problem was discovered quickly and found other issues needing attention. Had the heat back on in record time. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Cleaned the intake, replaced damaged wiring. We decided to purchase a one year service contract as a result for slightly more than the cost of the initial repair. Very satisfied with Williams Comfort Air. Will definitely utilize their services again and heartily recommend them to others.

+ -1 more10/24/16 Frederick, the sales consultant, was on time and shared his sales pitch. He did not have any sales brochures on their new brand of product, Diakin or any written estimate of the cost. He did share with me the cost of $4489.00. He told me to call him once we made a decision. 10/25/16 Called Frederick and hired Williams Comfort Air to install the unit. Fredrick called back and emailed me the agreement to sign and to set the schedule for a Friday to have a pre-inspection done to review the job. 10/28/16 Pre-inspection person was 40 minutes late. I had to call Frederick to follow up on the appointment. He called me right back to explain there was some miscommunication on the appointment time. Pre-inspection went smooth. He explained the different steps that the installers would be completing. 10/31/16 Installers were on time. They were professional and knew what they were doing. They kept the work area organized and cleaned up before they left. They finished up early in 5 hours when I was told it could take up to 8 hours to complete the job.
Description of Work: We had a ductless Diakin mini split unit installed in our four seasons sun room.

+ -1 moreWe have used them since 2013 or 2014. Our furnace and air conditioner came through them and they did all the install. They come out twice a year to clean, inspect and tune up the air conditioner and furnace. It is also tied into a warranty, so by having the yearly contract, we have got a 10 year parts and labor warranty. But, at any point, that if we don’t do the contract, then we lose that warranty. We have had them out a few times. Some cost and quality has been frustrating. Positively: What I really like about the company, is that they are responsive, on time and professional in that way. We have had to call them in kind of an emergency a couple different times, in the time that we needed them. They are 24/7, so they will come out. They have been out at like 2:00 in the morning before, actually a few times. The trouble is, at 2:00 in the morning sometimes, what they want to charge might be way off base. It just depends on the tech you get. Some of the techs have been phenomenal and some of them have been a little rough.
Description of Work: It is a maintenance contract that is $179 for an A/C tune up and a furnace tune up twice a year.

+ -1 moreNormally I appreciated the responsiveness and everything, but what I didn’t appreciate was that the tech was just a little sloppy. We actually had to have multiple techs back out afterwards, because of some of those mistakes. Honestly, it was more of just the technician, I just wish he had been a little bit more efficient.
