We had an additional unit that we also wanted serviced, and they combined the service call. The service Tech was very knowledgeable and explained everything. Our 2nd unit needed a part and was replaced at a reasonable cost.

+ -1 moreThey were good. I like them enough that I have a service contract with them. Plumbing is expensive and I know how plumbing goes. The quality it good. They are somebody that I use and call all of the time. They came when they said they were going to be here. They were very professional people. We are satisfied with them. We will be calling them back for whatever we need done.
Description of Work: I had to buy a new refrigerator with the water and ice on the door. They hooked up a water line from the sink to the refrigerator.

+ -1 moreThey were to call back to confirm and never did. I contacted them several days later and they confirmed. Upon arrival their employee was not helpful - and seemed annoyed I did not know exactly what I wanted. I informed him I wanted information on a geothermal system and a quote on gas vs electric. He was not happy about this and it was the same information I shared on the phone. I received the quote the following day for one system (gas only) and no other comparison. The price was much higher than any other company. I called to speak with a manager and share my experience and have not received a return call.

+ -1 moreThey come out twice a year to check on it. We have a contract with them they we pay in advance. I like that they call us and remind us that they need to come out and check the thing and then we make an appointment right then for them. They are very efficient and basically do a good job. They take their time and are not in a big hurry. They are very friendly and talk with us. If we have any questions, they answer our questions. They give us information that we haven't' asked for like if they find something wrong or something is needing to be fixed. The work has turned out excellent. I would definitely use their service again in the future.

+ -1 moreI do not recommend them because I have had bad luck with them. They installed this AC 5 years ago and it was just outside of warranty. In fact, when I bought it, I thought I had a 10 year warranty because most everybody has 10 year warranty on compressors and that but this one only had 5 years. I tell family and friends to stay away from them.

+ -1 moreThey sent a card in late January about a promotional furnace, which obviously was insufficient for a home like ours, but it piqued our interest, because we had a home with a furnace 19 years old. We called them for an estimate, though, and the salesman gave us a price (after bargaining with him) that we couldn't turn down. He said it was their SLOW season (January and February must be!), which was why he was able to come down to our price and include all the extra bells and whistles. They came out and did all the work the very next day! The installers were efficient and neat and cleaned up beautifully at the end of the day. It took them just the one day to install everything. On top of it all, we got a nice rebate from Vectren for installing a 96% efficiency furnace. Sweet! Only two issues: One was that although we have a new wi-fi thermostat (a wonderful piece of equipment), it didn't include an outdoor thermometer, which we thought came with it. (It gives us the "official" temperature and the weather forecast but not the actual thermometer temp at our house.) They told us that adding that was an additional $250 or something equally absurd, so we figured we'd just use our smart phone weather apps and live without it. Two was that they didn't hook up the thermostat's wi-fi features the first day, and we had to call them back to do it. The first person who came out didn't know what to do. So a second person came out. He didn't really know, either, and spent a long time trying to figure it out until he called someone who told him over the phone how to get it to work. That was rather odd. We very much like the product they provided, and their installation otherwise was excellent. I would recommend the company to others.

Two men arrived for the installation and worked diligently from 8 am until around 5 pm and wore protective covering on their shoes so as to not damage our floors. They furnace and A/C both run great - cools down quickly during the summer and keeps up with intense heat, and same with the cold during the winter. We are very satisfied.

+ -1 moreBrian McCann was my tech. He was at my home several hours performing cleanings and tune-ups on both my furnace and air conditioner. I purchased an Angie's List deal for $189 so the service was pre-paid. Brian explained everything he did including pictures of coils and lines which will remain on file at Williams Comfort Air. Brian also checked my installed humidifier which was not part of the service and gave me information on what would be needed to make it usable in the future if I choose to do so. It was not in working condition when he visited. Brian was very complete in his explanations and gave me suggestions without being "sales pushy" which I appreciated. All-in-all, I will definitely use Williams Comfort Air in the future and ask for Brian if he is available.

+ 0 moreAfter the clog was removed the plumber went into the crawl space to do an inspection. He discovered that the original cast iron pipe was corroding. That week after an estimate was completed Mr. Plumber, part of Williams, replaced the cast iron pipe. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, polite and kept me updated on progress.
Description of Work: I needed a clog removed. After the clog was removed it was discovered that cast iron pipe was corroding.

+ -1 moreThe estimate was free. I think they were reasonably prompt. I think the guy that gave the quote was reasonably well versed. I don't think he was quite as well versed as the other company I used. I think they were a little more knowledgeable. As a matter of fact, the owner came out and did the quote from the other company. This guy wasn't quite as sharp and on point as the other folks were. I think, if I remember right, and obviously it's been a while, I think it's a little more of the pushiness you can get some time. Another thing was kind of an apples to apples basis. The air conditioner unit that they were offering wasn't quite as high spec, I guess you might say, as what a couple of the other firms offered. Their quote was less but I wasn't quite as comfortable with them as I was with the other company. They were pretty punctual. I might still include them in the quoting process if I had something else.

+ -1 moreIt started pleasant but didn't end up that way. Within a year I had a issue with the outside unit. It wasn't even a year old they came out and told me the only thing under warranty was parts. They wouldn't do it. They told me I had to buy some other sort of warranty. I did calculations and over a period of 10 years would cost me another $6,000. So I said your telling me over a 10 year period, I would pay $6,000 or pay $200 today for something that should be covered. I paid the $200 and never called them back. I get up set each year I turn my air on because it just doesn't seem to get cool.
