+ -1 moreBad. I called Williams Comfort Air to repair and diagnose my air conditioner that was not working blowing cold air. The technician came and said there was a leak and that diagnosing and repairing the leak would be $7,000 and recommended at replacement air conditioning unit. Said he could not locate the leak when I asked him if he could just recharge the unit and fix the leak. A few days later, the Williams Comfort Air estimator came out and said that replacement of the unit would be $12,000-(only $10,000 with discount.) I called another heating and air company who came and repaired the leak by putting sealant into the unit and putting 3 pounds on Freon in the unit. It is now a month later and my house is still cool and the repair is working just fine. I was very disappointed that I had to pay $99 trip charge for Williams Comfort Air to come out and not repair anything but tried to use scare tactics to get me to spend $12,000 on a new a/c and furnace until when it was possible to fix my unit to restore my a/c for a lot less (less than $200). I would not recommend this company to anyone.

+ -1 moreMy neighbor had Williams Comfort Air install a geothermal HVAC system on his property last year. During the installation they backed a boring machine across the property line into my yard, got it stuck and caused damage to my property. After a couple of meetings and several calls to fix the problem, I advised Williams I would have the damage fixed at my own expense. It now appears that the boring process may have penetrated an underground spring that has caused a surface water issue on both properties. None of this is my neighbors fault. Williams, in my opinion, does not live up to their advertising claims of going the extra mile.

We asked them at that time, my mom was reluctant to sign a contract so we negotiated with them to do our duct cleaning. That was great because we had never had done before. They really did excellent work and service with us. We would use them again. The workers were professional.

Description of Work: They do the seasonal maintenance check. That is for 6 furnaces. The heating system they go over those 6 units for heating. The spring they go through the same 6 units for air conditioning.

+ -1 moreI guess they did a pretty good job. But I think I hear that people say they are normally on the high side. But we had a couple of other bids and they were way much higher. So I guess Williams would be ok for duct cleaning. The cost was pretty large. It was 6 furnaces involved. I didn’t get up and do a lot of inspection. I wasn’t there but I know they were there early in the morning.
Description of Work: We’ve had Williams lately at the Indianapolis Yacht Club.

They remind me that I need to have either my furnace or air conditioner done so we schedule something. Then 6 months later they contact me again. They're always there when I need them. I think I've used them for some plumbing work too.

+ -1 moreService man found the problem quickly and presented a estimate for repair and maintenance plan. He didn't force an up- sale and let us consider our options. We took the plan and he repaired the AC without delay. Luckily we had cool air just before a week of almost 90 degree weather. Yay!

They're servicemen are always considerate, knowledgeable and share information on what we can do better. The check took probably an hour or more. They clean up very well when done.
