+ 0 moreTerribly. I'm still waiting for the cleanup and finishing of the gutter and roof cleaning.
Description of Work: Supposedly on Wellman's automatic gutter cleaning rotation. By late December no one had come so I called Wellman. Tried to set up a time before the end of the year but no one came. I called again last week of December because no one had come but the call was not returned. I called the first week in January, a day that was in the 50s, and was told someone would come out and clean the gutters. I explained that I was having doors put in and the workers would have be careful what they did with the leaves or they get in the installers way. I talked with Patrick who said the work could be done. I explained the situation with door installation and a bunch of leaves in the gutters directly over the doors. Two workers came out, looked at the house, said they couldn't get the leaves over the area of new door installation, and after saying they could do the job, decided that they couldn't or would have to charge extra if they came back to finish it . I wanted them to get all the leaves off except for the ones by the doors being replaced. The worker said he didn't want to do them he would do them all at the same time. I wanted all the leaves off that could be gotten off because it was so late in the year and the roof was becoming a mess as well as blowing leaves constantly on the yard. He basically refused and said he would call Patrick. I also called Patrick Who said the workers would clear the roof and gutters except in the door installation area. One of the workers made a couple of rude comments they got out of their truck finally and quickly got some of the leaves off the roof. They did not pick up the leaves which they left on the ground in deep piles, they spent about 15 minutes total, which was less time than they spent sitting in their truck waiting to do the work. After they were done the roof was not cleaned well and there was still leaves left on the roof. One of the door installation men remarked that the gutter cleaning was a bad job. I didn't get up to check the gutters so I don't know if they were cleaned or not. I called Wellman's to complain about the poor service and rude workers and requested that someone come out with the next decent weather and finish the job. Again, someone was supposed to call me back and discuss the problem but no one called back. On Tuesday, January 10, 2017 the weather was good so I called Wellman again asking that somebody come out and finish the gutter cleaning. I was told someone would be out but of course no time was promised. This is Wednesday evening, no one has been out in two days, and I'm not sure anybody will come ever. This is a terribly unreliable and seemingly uncaring company when it comes to customer service. I have always had some problem whenever they came to do the work. One time they damaged the gutter, often they don't pick up the leaves , and they have damaged the mulch and various landscaping around the house other times. This is one company that does not deserve anybody's business.

+ -1 moreI have a 1475 sq ft house, gutters on two sides. Their first estimate was $135. I paid the bill Then I saw that they advertise $99 for houses under 2000 sq ft. When I asked why my bill was so high, they said that they would clean my gutters again in the fall for $85. I agreed to that, they cleaned my gutters, and I paid my bill. Then I get a bill in February for $85 for a cleaning they said they did on 12/22/2015. I did not authorize that cleaning, I never saw them come, the gutters did not appear to have been cleaned, and there was no sign of them being here. When I called them, they said that they had been here and demanded payment. I will not pay for something I didn't authorize and have no evidence, other than the word of the business owner, that the service was ever done. I do NOT recommend doing business with these people.

+ 2 moreDerrick arrived just as promised and went to straight to work. He was personable and clearly explained what he was doing and how. He was also able to show me the results of his work, which made me realize what a service he had done for us. (We had also hired Wellman to clean our gutters earlier in the fall and it turns out Derrick was the one who cleaned our gutters as well. So now, he really knows our house inside and out.) We are totally satisfied with all the services provided by Wellman and plan to continue to use them in the future, especially if Derrick continues to provide the service!

He meticulously cleaned up all the leaves and debris. He also provided some useful information on how I could avoid similar problems in the future. I would gladly recommend Chris for any exterior repairs and will insist that only he be sent for any future services I may require.

+ -1 moreWe purchased through Angie's List for a much better price than before. For 6 weeks they constantly said they would clean the gutters next week but never showed. I contacted them weekly and the word was they would have it done by next week. After 6 weeks I contacted Angie's List customer service but they wouldn't refund $ since it was over 30 days old. They arranged to have another place clean the gutters for the same price mid-December. I guess they had enough regular price customers to ignore the ones that paid only 2/3 of usual through Angie's. Time to look for a new company for this year.

+ 0 moreCharge was $99.00 for gutter cleaning. Was billed another $90.00 because of the size of the house. Should have checked with me first. Left some of the gutter trash behind. Sent me a bill for $189.00 and demanded payment. I asked them to give me a correct invoice and I would pay. They didn't Finally one day I got a call from the owner (I suppose) I paid over the phone reluctantly with no invoice. Should have been advised of the extra charge. DOUBLE!!! Glad to be done with them. Would not recommend them.

+ 0 moreI purchased this deal as a gift for my son's house for Christmas. It was good for 6 months from purchase date of Dec.15,2014. 4-16-15 I contacted them to clean the gutters. Spoke to someone named Chris & he said he couldn't find the purchase order under my name or my son's in his records. He asked, if I could email a copy of the Angie's List deal. So I scanned the document in & emailed it to him within the hour. In my email I asked him to respond to this. I received no email response. Nor a phone call. 4-21-15 I called again & spoke to Meghan. (this is around noon) She puts me on hold to speak to the mgr. She got back to me quickly & said that they were going to have to have Chris call me. At this point, I don't understand what the problem is. I mean really I have a $99 gutter cleaning, how hard is this for scheduling? 4-22-15 I call back around noon because again Chris does not call or email me. Spoke to Meghan & again I am placed on hold while she speaks to the mgr. She gets back on says they can clean the gutters tomorrow 4-23 between the hours of 9&1 and will call 30 minutes in advance. 4-23-15 I get the phone call at 10:30 & they were at my son's house by 11:00. There were two guys. The lead guy was named Antoine & he was very polite, pleasant & helpful. He & his co-worker did a really good job on the gutters & cleaned the debris up. I was extremely pleased with the job they performed. Once its scheduled, they're great! I still don't understand why it was such a "chore" to get this scheduled. I buy lots of Angie deals and have never experienced this difficulty in scheduling. Maybe because I purchased it as a gift??? or what? I do not know. However, I would recommend them cause once it did get scheduled, the job was well done.

+ 0 moreThis was not an enjoyable experience. Because of multiple refusals to set a time to clean the gutters I had to get Angie's List involved. Even after that they were barely responsive. The work was finally completed when they showed up unannounced at my home one Saturday. The gutters certainly were clean when the finished. However, taking five minutes to clean up what they threw on the ground would have been nice.
