Because of numerous trees and some late-dropping trees we needed to hold off doing a final gutter cleaning until quite late in the fall. House Mechanics had to tailor their visit around our needs and late fall rainy days so by the time they came many of the leaves were frozen to the bottom of the gutter. They scraped them away, removed roof debris and bagged the gutter debris. Other gutter cleaners just blow the leaves off the roof and leave the leaf debris on the ground and even that limited service is a good deal at $89.00, but House Mechanics went way beyond that!

This provider came prepared to do a difficult task (house has hip roof) and did a high quality job in approximately one hour including all of the cleanup of gutter debris. I asked him to put me on his calendar for next year.

We called House Mechanics to explain that we no longer needed to have our gutters cleaned--our wonderful neighbors took care of that on Saturday. They were very understanding and suggested we contact Angie's List for a full refund since we had paid in advance.

When I talked to him on the phone he was very professional. I would recommend him based on communication with him.

They were very nice and polite. They did exactly as I asked and I would use them again.

it looks wonderful. I had a really hard time finding someone to do this work because all the roofing/siding people have been so busy in Indianapolis. I called house mechanic and he was honest and said it would be 2 weeks before he would get to it. 2 weeks later he called and said he had looked at the house one morning and could do the job the following week. one day I came home and the siding was back up and looked great. its still up and sturdier than before.

Richard responded quickly with a free estimate. He and his crew arrived and completed the work on schedule and on quote. They were all very courteous and rersponsive to questions. The work was does very well and looks great! I would highly recommend House Mechanics

It was a good experience. The gentleman contacted me shortly after my inquiry, was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and did a great job of dealing with my insurance company. We haven't moved forward with the repairs yet, but we will definitely consider House Mechanics for the job.

Service was delayed several times due to weather but they did a good job.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They had to come back out and I never got a report so I don't know if there was anything wrong with any portion of my gutter. I did not spend anymore. I wasn't at home when they came. There really wasn't any interaction. They were at my house when I pulled up. We didn't set up an appointment. They had to come back because one of my gutters wasn't draining but it is draining now.

I reported this via Angie's List messaging on Sunday night; they arrived first thing Monday morning and got right to work. They were polite and helpful. Did a great job. I will use them again and would recommend to others.

When the 3 men got here, the one said they had already been here this past winter. I told them they never had been here. They told me they had. So they had been here, unscheduled and without my permission this past winter when I first bought the deal. I had already cleaned out my gutters in November and was waiting until after all the maple trees seeds fell to schedule this service late spring. They did not charge for the repeat visit. However, they complained about all the debris on the roof and in the gutters. I said that was why they were here and why I had bought the service (I didn't know there was a limit on how much stuff could be in the gutters). They did not have a blower to blow all the seed pods and debris off the roof so they used my plastic rake! Then they didn't have any bags and I gave them a trash can and a 42 gal contractor bag. After they left, the next day on the long side of the house, I found all the mess from the gutters on the ground and on my air conditioner. It had rained before they cleared the gutters, so it was very wet and I called the owner and told him I was going to clean it up myself. I filled a 42 gal contractor bag and a smaller bag and then had to drag then wheel it to the curb because it was so heavy. This wasn't fluffy stuff filling the bag, it was packed down. Tonight it rained and I noticed the gutter on the porch (about 8 ft long) was running over the edge. It's night time now, but I I am hoping that when I get out the ladder and look, that gutter will not be full. They were also supposed to look over the roof and gutters and I don't know if that was done or not. I didn't think I would have such a problem having someone come out to clean my gutters. Never expected this to be anything but professionally done. I've done the gutters myself in the past. When I called the owner about the above, he said this was unacceptable. I hope they don't treat others this way. I was so surprised at this experience. I would have given the price a better score if the work had been done better.

It went pretty well. They did the work when I was not home, and admittedly, I've not climbed up to check their work. But so far, there have been no issues and I would use them again if I needed it next fall. There were no issues with scheduling and the price was reasonable -- there were no hidden fees.

It went well. The staff was fine, there were about 3 guys. They used a paint blower, it was a little over sprayed but it wasn’t that bad. Then when they went to clean the paint sprayer they cleaned it with water and it went into the grass next door which left the grass stained. I thought they could have done a little bit better. Over all I think they did a great job.

House mechanics, employees very professional, prompt, did an excellent job, We feel confident that the issues that we had with sagging gutters, water spilling over the tops of the gutters, the downspouts, and gutters not being able to handle the volume of water in a downpour have been resolved. The gutters and downspouts were complete in a little over two days- and that long due to rain. We also like the idea that the time was taken to insure that we will not have any damming issues in the winter and water backing up into the facia and roof.

Great other than he kept changing the date that he was going to come out. Luckily we didn't have any rain during the time we were waiting because our wood around the window was so bad that water was coming through the drywall.

They came on a different day than we had discussed, but it worked out. Two guys came and they bickered among each other, but did a nice job. The gutters had pulled away with the ice storm, but they got them all reattached. Nice work overall.

Fixed minor loose shingle areas and inspected entire roof. Very professional and explained needed repairs completely. I also had them quote the window installation for me. Price was right and they came out and installed the windows and screen door and they look great. Very impressed.

They did a great job. They had to wait for a day that was warm enough to do the job but they did the work as soon as they could. They did a good job cleaning up and explaining the roof and gutter situation at the house. Thankfully, the gutters did not need replaced in the roof/sunroom area and he explained why.

My roof started leaking over a room with a wood ceiling! I called them the next day and we set a time that they would come out the following day. They were on time, pleasant and professional. They diagnosed the problem and repaired the flashing. Last night it rained hard and there was no leak in that room. I would definitely work with them again.

No notice left at house, no confirmation. The contractor expects me to accept his word that work was completed yet, as far as I have seen, the gutters have not be addressed. Very unsatisfied. Contractor was willing to come back out yet based on our phone conversation I am not willing to work with this company again.

The guys were very efficient. They did a great job of gutter cleaning & even replaced a couple of my gutter covers inclusive in the $99.00 payment. I would refer them to others, as well use them in the future.

I think that they came and performed the service while I was at work and while we had inclement weather, so I can't be sure of how thorough they would have been. I tried contacting them via the Angie's List website to inquire if they were able to flush the gutters, but they haven't responded. What's more is it's been a month since I've sent that message.

Just showed up. Didn't call or email to say when they would be there.
