Vitian's Re-Upholstery LLC

We're very satisfied with the rocking chair and the leather cushions. We only paid for one delivery and didn't want to wait until the chair was finished, so we went to her office to pick up the cushions in late April. She said she messed up on one of the corners of the cushions and took off $50 for labor for this. It looks completely fine for us. Vitian also made the cushions reversible when they weren't before. Our rocking chair was delivered to our home at the end of May .Apparently, the chair took quite a bit of work at it had been re-upholstered many times and the wood was weak. Vitian was able to make it work and it looks absolutely beautiful!

The entire experience was fantastic. We purchased a deal for $19.99. That covered the labor costs. Once we dropped it off they told us they would call us once the new the exact amount of how much the material would cost. Sure enough, before they did any work they called us with the materials cost (I believe it was $45), and I told them they could proceed with the work. The entire process was smooth and very professional. They are extremely nice people. As I mentioned above, they delivered the cushion for no cost. I will certainly work with them again if my dog gets to anything else!

Our experience was exceptional. We needed a zipper replaced before a relocation. She worked us in and was so helpful. We picked up the cushion the next business day and it looks wonderful. I've already recommended Vitian to my friends and family! We will definitely use her the next time we have any upholstery need!

The couch is 10 years old and the cushions were really sagging. It is a Century couch and cost quite a bit so I wanted to see if it could be comfortable again. The cushions are like new! We won't need a new couch for a while.

When I gave her the material, she stated that I should have ordered the material through her, and that it was too thick. I told her that I had bought it from a reliable fabric store, and we had other pieces of furniture that were upholstered with the same fabric and it should be fine. She said that she would try it. She called me back and said that it was too thick and that I should come and take a look at it. When I saw the sample I told her that I wasn't happy with the quality of the work. She again blamed the fabric. At that point she had taken apart all the furniture , cut up all the fabric, but not actually upholstered any furniture..She stated I should order new fabric when I had already spent several hundred dollars on the current fabric. I told her I was going to take it somewhere else, but she wouldn't give me my deposit back. I took it somewhere else, and the chairs turned out great. I called her again and told her that I thought she should give me my money since someone else had been able to perform the job without difficulty. She stated that wouldn't give me back any of it because she had put time into it.

The chairs look awesome. They were done exactly on time and have really held up well. I will definitely use Vitian again in the future.

The process was painless and overall a good experience

I have a 12-year old couch. In an earlier conversation with Vitian, she told me that she could replace the cushions, because, over the years, they condense or flatten. This is a whole lot cheaper than purchasing a new couch, considering the rest of the couch is still in good condition. I brought my three cushions to her studio and she measured them and suggested replacing my existing cushions with firm ones. I have some difficulty getting off the couch and use extra pillows on top of the existing cushions to help me sit taller and compensate for my flattened existing cushions. After measuring my cushions, Vitian purchased the firm foam and wrapped it before slipping each foam cushion into its fabric cover. When I picked up the cushions, I noticed how much lighter the three cushions were compared to my old ones and, when I put them on my couch and sat on them, they were delightfully firm. I no longer need pillows on top of the cushions. I am so pleased with the outcome. Feels like I have a new couch. Vitian is so delightful to work with and she's so well-informed. I always learn something when I consult with her regarding re-upholstering. Couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Vitian was so great!!! She came over with fabric to match...helped with decided which kind. Experience was great!!!!

Vivian rebuilt the sagging seats of our dining room chairs and helped me select the material for the new seat covers. She did a great job and delivered them ahead of schedule. The chairs look (and feel) great and Vitian was absolutely delightful. Highly recommend her!

I bought this deal from an Angie's List email advertisement. Vitian is a nice and professional person. She came to my home and spent over an hour helping me figure out what fabrics to use. She was very knowledgeable and helped me choose just the right fabrics. For a small fee, she picked up the chairs and delivered them when finished. Unfortunately, I was in a bit of a time crunch as I wanted the chairs finished by the holiday in November. Vitian was able to complete the work entirely and have them back to me with time to spare although I know it was a busy season for her company. I would definitely contact this company again in the future for any reupholstering I need done. Highly recommend them.

Fair work, but not worth the price.

She is terrific. She came out with sample fabrics and quickly understood what I needed. She helped me find a very durable but pretty blue for the kitchen . We found a lovely neutral fabric for the more formal dining room chairs. She was professional, helpful, personable and knowledgeable. With her warm sense of humor and practical approach, I felt comfortable even though I have never done this before . It seemed only natural to end the session with a hug! The chairs were delivered when promised (resulting in further laughing and a hug). They look terrific and were noticed by my family at Thanksgiving. What a nice lady and skilled crafts woman!

We bought Vitian's Big Deal on Angie's List which should now be paid to her. That was $159. We paid an additional $100. for the fabric which is very pricey, but resistant to sun and other damage which we wanted for the porch. An additional $75. was paid for transporting the chairs, which surprised me, but I haven't had this kind of work done for a long time, so maybe that's in line. Vitian also repaired some damage in the wicker backs of the chairs. The chairs look very nice and will be wonderful on the porch.

Vitian was a pleasure to work with... She was right on time for her first visit... she brought her fabric selections and was very knowledgeable about what would work best - her suggestion was the fabric that was used... she sent a sample of the fabric so I could double check about whether it was the one to use..and I had to do was call/email to verify it. . as she said the chairs were done in six weeks. again she delivered them promptly and they look great! .. I wanted to have these done for a family celebration so the Angie's Deal and Vitian came at the just the right time!

The work was great! She was wonderful and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Showed up on time. Completion date was an estimate (I prefer having a set date, or something like "to be completed not later than" date". Delivered everything back home; all work done satisfactorily.

We enjoyed the home visit and found information shared on chosing fabric very helpful. The finished chair and automan were beautifully and professionally done. Artistic decisions made while chair was being completed on finishing were excellent. The time for completion of the work was estimated and, while the delivery date was met, it did take maximum time in the range we were quoted. We were only disappointed in that, when we were 6 weeks out (within the expected range for completion of the project) we made a request for completion of the project sooner rather than later on behalf of a handicapped guest about to come to our home who would need to sit in the chair being finished. We were told that there was no way to move up delivery day in spite of the fact that, on home visit, we had been told that "once fabric is available, a chair could theoreticallly be completed in two days". We were not offered any explanation about why this was not a possibility, even in the face of the need to accomodate a handicapped person. We are very happy with the work done. We would use Vitians services again. But we would want to make sure we allowed for maximum project completion time.

When Vitian picked up the settee and chairs on 10/10/11, she spent a lot of time helping me choose fabric for the pieces. When they were not ready when she had projected, she called with an update. She delivered them on 12/13/11, and I was very happy with the work. Vitian is very jovial and friendly but professional.

Vitian arrived promptly, listened carefully to what we wanted done to our old Morris chair, showed us sample fabrics, gave us an estimate, handled the paperwork, and took away the chair, all on the first visit. She is very adept at using technology to handle her business matters. She took a photo on her cell phone and sent us a copy of the estimate by email. She mailed us a sample of the fabric we had chosen to confirm our choice. The work was done on time and in exactly the way we specified. We are delighted with our old chair that is just like new and were glad to find someone who could do the upholstery work and repair the frame. Vitian is highly professional and great to do business with.

She picked up the chairs; she returned the chairs in a reasonable time frame.

Vitian responded to my online quote request the very next day and arrived on time at my place. I absolutely have nothing bad to say about my experience with Vitian except that she quoted me $200 more than someone else.

The owner herself arrived, helped select the fabric and priced the work on the spot. She also then took the furniture with her in her van after loading it with my help. She promised 6 weeks but it took maybe 7-8 weeks but work was completed. She delivered the three pieces at the time promised, helped me carry them inside, The workmanship was excellent and all is well done. She is efficient and can process payments readily on the spot as well as secure the necessary quote for a job. Based on another quote for the same work, Vitian's was about 2/3 of that price.
