 + 0 moreDan is very patient, personable and, if you ask questions, they will be answered. I had a long list of questions and items I wanted to be sure were carried over to our laptop from our old desktop. Dan is much better than most IT techs I have encountered over my many years working with computers in a law office, in that they seem to forget that we, not they, are the end user of the pc or laptop. Dan understood this. My only "complaint," is that a couple of times after installation I had some questions or problems. I was ultimately able to reach Dan and he was supposed to get back with me - he did not. In his favor, I know he is always on the go even does some traveling in his business, but none of us likes waiting for call-backs. I will use Dan again, however, and our cost is supposed to include one year of phone or remote service.
Description of Work: The $916 included an in-home service/repair in September ($100), and purchase, installation of new laptop, wireless modem and wireless keyboard and mouse, and progrms/software in October. Our Dell desktop was almost 8 years old, we had it serviced twice in the past 6 months by other vendors and ultimately, Dan Miller, owner of VCS Indy, said our processor was just undersized for today's uses and although he was able to clean up and speed it up some, we decided to purchase a laptop. We know nothing about which computers are best so allowed Dan to choose, and based on what our use of the comuter is, 99% mine as opposed to my husband's, he recommended our current laptop - a Toshiba, which he delivered on September 25 and finished installing on October 8 (the wireless keyboard and mouse were not in yet in September and he had forgotten to bring the wireless modem at that time, as well - we were also gone for a few days during that time - thus the longer delay)..

They sent a young man who was very professional and found that I not only needed a new network card but a cleaning as well.I was back online in less than an hour and my computer runs faster now than it ever has...I was also happy to have helped put a veteran to work.
Description of Work: He replaced my network card and performed not only a thorough cleaning of all the stuff that builds up in the computer but tested my hard drive and gave me a "health Report" on how it was running plus installed the updates it needed, ran a virus and spyware scan then while he had the case opened he vacuumed it out...
