Updike Bathroom Remodeling

Everything done was exactly how we wanted it done. The bathroom looks beautiful. The bathroom walls were removed, tub taken out, and complete tear down of the area. Plumbing, heating/air, & lighting were all moved. A new larger shower was built in the room. Ed and Jason did all the work, and they were wonderful to work with. They were very trustworthy and very knowledgeable at what they do. I would recommend Updike again.

The final product far exceeded my expectations. It was a pleasure to have them in my home... they were as neat as possible for a construction project. One crew did everything, tile, plumbing, electrical, etc., so there was no waiting for subcontractors. They made the process extraordinarily easy! As for pricing, I looked around a lot.They were on the lower side of the quotes I was getting. Now I understand why... they're no-nonsense and very practical. All in all, an extraordinary value.

They did what they were supposed to do , picked up after the job and let everything cleaned up.

I found both the owner and showroom sales lady very helpful providing good information and options that I had not considered. They were very patient with all of my questions and emails. The installer did a great job with the work, tearing out the old shower but keeping the dust down to a minimum. He placed drop clothes all over the floor to minimize the mess and did a very good job cleaning up each day when he was finished. He really did a beautiful job and you can tell he's very experienced at this work.

The initial visit for a quote was the most thorough and professional of any contractor we have worked with to date. Dan listened to the vision we had for what we wanted to create and guided us in setting a realistic budget. We received a detailed and accurate quote within the promised time frame (48 hours of the visit). His prices were the best of the three quotes we got. We were guided through the process of picking out materials and Dan worked with us to stay within our budget. He also shared tips with us and was always available to answer questions, plus was willing to research anything he didn't have an immediate answer for. Samples were brought to our house, so we could see how colors would fit into the existing elements we had to work around. The contract was clear and detailed-no surprises. Work began within the promised time frame. All the installers were professional, polite and courteous in our home. They showed up on time and stayed focused on the job. They also did a great job protecting our carpet and hardwood floors and cleaning up every day. Any challenges that arose were quickly brought to our attention and options clearly laid out. Every contact has been professional and the whole process was amazingly smooth from start to finish. Our bathroom looks fantastic! We know we have added value to our home. We would absolutely work with Updike again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience.

We used Updike to renovate our master bath last spring. We were so pleased with the results that we contacted them to update our first floor half bath using same high quality materials. As with the last job, the owner personally came out to inspect the bathroom and provide a detailed estimate. Everyone was professional to work with. We asked them to come out 2 times - once to remove old sink and cabinet (as having floor work done) and then come back a second time to install new cabinet and sink - they graciously accommodated our request. They did a quality job on a timely basis. We are very pleased with the result!

Installers were well versed in their business. Removed tub, filled walls installed, shower base and fixtures.

Owner, Dan, came to house to measure, discuss options and gives estimate via email. Jason was the installer and did great work - very professional. Have used in past and will use for next project.

They quoted me $20000. I disliked that 11.20 to 11.22. They were sending me to many different places to get the pricing. It was just too much for me to do. They were very professional. They appear to be in business for a long time and so I think they would be a solid choice. I just get worried of going to a lot of different places to get quotes. It was all left to me to put it together where as they should be putting it altogether as contractors.

Everything went smoothly; a few days no one showed up, but we were always notified. We would have liked for the owner to have shown up for a final walk thru, but we never saw him after the work was finished.

We had previously used them in the past and they did a great job. The whole process took about ten weeks from start to finish while working around the installers of the countertops. They were there every day. They did a nice job with clean up. Any issues we have had they have followed up on. They are real good with that. Dan Updike is the owner. He is very good about checking to ensure you are happy with everything, Jeremy was the main crew who installed most of the work from the cabinets, tile, and appliances. Overall, they did a great job and we are happy with the work.

Great! Our first time with any type of remodel. Arrived on time, pleasant, courteous and well groomed. Did not waste any time, got right to work. Completed approx in a 1.5 days. Price was very reasonable compared to what others quoted. We feel like we got a lot for our money.

They have done a couple of things for us in the past. They have done quite well. They seemed reasonable with their cost. Their capabilities were good. We would use them again.

The installers work on time worked hard very professional and detailed. very polite and cleaned up afterards.
