Updike Bathroom Remodeling

I met with the owner Dan, several times to choose tile, cabinets, countertops etc. They started on the date originally agreed upon & worked 2 1/2 weeks until completed.

The installers/pumbers arrived on time. They put down plastic to protect carpeting and began work. I left for work. When I returned everything was completed. Lood good and functioned well.! Two minor issues were easily resolved - drips on carpet and billing error.

It went wonderful. It took 4 days. However, but the amount of time varied each day based on the work that they needed to complete. Each day they advised me what they were going to do and review with me at the end of the day what was completed. They asked me to help them determine where items like the handicap bars were to be placed before they did the work. They put down cloth over my carpet each morning. At night they took it up and then ran the vacuum to make sure everything was clean to my satisfaction before they let. This company is great. Dan the owner does the estimate, Sherri in the office helped me pick out what I really wanted. This was one of the best decisions I have made..

There was no charge for the estimate. He never said there was a charge. I have ended up going with them but it is not installed yet. I did not call them. I went out to their estimate to see what was available. He came out later to give us the estimate. I went to the show room and looked at the different types of showers, and tile and everything like that. He came out later to do the actual dimensions and the estimate at that point. He came the next day or the day after. I am pretty sure it was the next day. He was right on time to the minute. I would use him again in the future depending on the results of the shower. I would not use him again because the only thing he does is showers, unless there is something that I need that is not due to their shower. I would recommend them for other people to get estimates based on how I was treated. I did a lot of research, and looked at a lot of commercials and the BBB. They had more options that I was interested in and I could personalize it more.

Fantastic work! Dan & Sheri were very helpful in planning the work and installation was high quality of a reasonable price.

Workers on time, did job, cleaned up very nice, all done in timely manner and looked very nice

All went pretty well except the installer tried not move the electrical outlet, cutting a hole for it inside the storage unit, which is not what I wanted. The result made a shelf in the part of the storage unit where he had to cover up the unnecessary hole impossible. Now the storage unit shelving is less versatile that I wished it to be.

Updike started the job 2 weeks early. Tiler / plumbers were very hard working, meticulous & cleaned up daily. Were very punctual! Excellent experience. Glass door installers - excellent.

Jeff from Updike did a great job. The work only took 1 1/2 days and we could use the bathroom after 24 hours. We used Louisville Tile in Fishers as the supplier of the tile and grout and they were very helpful in the selection process.

There were a couple of "bumps" along the way but Mr.Updike was very responsive and took care of them to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with our new tub and shower.

Our bathroom remoedel experience was superior start to finish. Employees were punctual, professional and knowledgeable. Our bathroom looks fabulous.

Jeremy arrived on time and started work immediately with no interruptions. He finished and left both areas squeaky clean. Excellent professional work.

They would not repair the drywall and charged $6,100 to put up three walls, a shower base, a shower door. No actual plumbing changes needed to be done. Just set the base over the drain that was already there, screw on the faucet and shower head

The installation was very well done high quality material & labor. Installed were a bit dirty and it took 4 weeks and not 2 like expected.

From the beginning to conclusion, we were treated professionally and on time. When we are ready to remodel our 2nd bathroom-use will call on Updike to do the job-we look for work to calling and have another job-well done.

The workmen were a joy to have around. They did really nice work. Everything went smoothly in the master bath. Together both projects took four weeks -- one week longer than necessary because of problems in the hall bath and the fact they didn't work on four days (injury, doctor's appointment, illness, truck wouldn't start). To be fair, they always called me to let me know they wouldn't be coming on those days and they completed both jobs well within the agreed upon time frame (hall bath by Thanksgiving, master bath after Thanksgiving by at least a week before Christmas) Things in the hall bath did not go as smoothly. (1) When they turned off the water and then turned it back on, the pipe broke causing a flood down through the wall and into the family room below. That kind of thing can happen with an older house, so it really wasn't their fault. However, they used a wet vac to mop up water on the floor and on the ceiling beams and woodwork. It worked fine on the floor but knocked paint off the woodwork. They also cur a hole in the ceiling to facilitate drying. They repainted and also fixed the hole so nicely that everything looks great and I no longer need to paint the ceiling as I had planned to do. (2) After they installed the floor, I discovered some of the tiles were the wrong color. (The tile shop sent packages of tile plus a stack from an open package. Apparently those extras were from a different dye lot.) As a result, they had to rip out some of the tiles and replace them with ones from the proper dye lot. Fixing those two problems added an extra day to the work, but in the end everything looks great and I will hire them again if I decide to redo our downstairs 3/4 bath.
