Updike Bathroom Remodeling

Updike specializes in bathroom remodeling, and their work shows it. We had almost endless options for design and materials. They do not use subcontractors, so their crew did all the work from demolition to final cleanup. Jeremy was very professional in his work, answered any questions I had, and left the space so clean you could not tell work had been done. "Wow!" is the comment we have heard multiple times from family/friends who have seen the remodeled space.

The re-modeler showed up on time. He was very polite and courteous. He worked all day and cleaned up after himself. His work was very professionally done, and we are so satisfied with the newly remodeled bathroom!

The guys were great to work with friendly, professional, helpful, glad to answer questions, and cleaned up after themselves. The tear out caused some damage to an adjoining wall which they repaired with no questions or hassle.

Jeremy (who had done the previous bathroom work) arrived on time. He performed the job as expected and left the area clean.

PEOPLE, hiring Updike Bathroom remodeling is a must. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone. I have read some reviews on here and I see that some have a small issue with price. Let me tell you that Dan is very fair and was willing to work with us. Sometimes you have to pay more to get great quality and Updike is worth every penny. On that note, we found Updike by passing them on the street seeing there showroom. We called and set up an appointment to have Dan come out without knowing what we were going to do exactly. After talking with Dan and going over some very important options we decided to go with Updike and have them start the bathrooms. They completely gutted both bathrooms, checked all the studs, electrical, and plumbing to make sure everything was in good working order. The bathrooms went together with a lot of pride! Next was the kitchen, and this was going to be a huge expensive project. After checking with a couple companies for the kitchen (assuming that Updike did not do kitchens) I asked Dan if he would do our kitchen also and he gladly accepted. He hooked us up with Mary Wright down at economy plumbing to start the blueprinting and cabinet ordering. I want to note that Mary was great to work with at economy plumbing and she had some really great ideas that made our kitchen stand out from the rest. We did a complete gut of the kitchen and started over. While talking to Dan about the kitchen, he also had some really good ideas which included taking down the deviding wall that was between the kitchen and living room. This wall was a supporting wall so he had to restructure the ceiling and install a new beam. Let me tell you that they went above and beyond making sure the new beam was big enough and installed correctly. The kitchen turned out fantastic and the same for the bathrooms!!! This description box does not have enough space to describe everything done unfortunately, but we are 110 percent happy with the product and the service. One of Dan's installers Jeremy, has been a big part of this remodel and between him and Dan, we have a great product that we absolutely enjoy every single day. THANK YOU UPDIKE you have gone above and beyond on making us happy! Even when we had a leak from a Lowes install problem. lol. You guys are great, tell Sheri thank you too!

The over all experience was good. It took longer than they said, but not much more. Big problem, $2,000.00 more than what I thought it should have cost.

He was on time every day or called if he was late. He was very professional, finished on time, cleaned up after the work.

Dan Updike came out to give the quote - he was prompt and efficient. He gave a written quote, required no money up front, and finished the project on time and on budget. I chose Updike because Dan was on time to our initial appointment, the pricing was comparable to other quotes I received, and he promised the work finished in 1 week. The serviceman cleaned thoroughly every day after he worked, was pleasant and helpful and did a fabulous job. I highly recommend Updike Bathroom Remodeling.

Again, an excellent job. The bathroom was left cleaner than before the job. Jeremy was excellent. While waiting for a phone call he replaced my lightbulbs (at my request).

The Updike employee (Jeremy) came on Wednesday and removed the old tub and surrounding tile and dry wall. He then installed new dry wall and set the shower base (approx. 2.5 hrs). He left the bathroom spotless. He returned on Thursday and installed the plumbing, laminate walls and sliding glass doors. He placed the shower head at the height I requested and the shelves at the height appropriate for me (approx. 3 hrs.). Again he left the bathroom spotless. I could not be more pleased!!

Jeff arrived on time. He completed the job in 2 days & was very courteous & professional. He was very neat & there was little mess. I was extremely happy.

I emailed Updike through the email address posted on their website and did not receive a response for over two weeks. I assumed they were having technical issues, so I called them on a Friday and got a call back from Mr. Updike the following Monday. I told Mr. Updike I wanted to bump out my existing half bath and closet into the adjacent room. I was a bit shocked when he told me that it would cost around $20,000-$25,000 and that if I wasn't looking to spend that much, he wasn't interested in taking on the project. We never discussed the size of the room, materials, or what the layout would be and here I was being given a number over the phone. I may end up spending that much in the end, but I would like the reason to be the materials and finishes I picked out and not what a company wishes to profit on the job.

I could not be happier, the work was completed in a timely fashion and done well. Updrive was punctual, easy to get hold of & responsive. Also very helpful decision making. This is a company you can trust!.

It was excellent. There was not enough good I could say about the young man that did the work. From start to finish, it was fantastic. Their price was a little high but there was a reason for that. I didn't have to worry about a darn thing. It was well worth the extra money. I would most definitely use them again.

Let me start by saying the entire experience was very impressive and I have already suggested them with total confidense in their excellent work.The owner showed up for the initial estimate. He was well groomed, punctual and friendly. He brought multiple pictures of his past work completed which were very impressive and gave me an idea of my options. He also brought information on my options and could show me different choices I had. He asked me questions, made suggestions, and really listened to what I wanted. He took his time with me and did not rush in and rush out even though it was the end of the day. He was thorough and when he left I felt like he understood exactly what I expected in a new bathtub area. The crew was there on the day he said the work would start. I was not at home but checked each evening on the progress. they completed this job in four days which was amazing to me. They were detailed, concientious, immaculate in thier cleanup. Very friendly and stayed with their work while I was there one day. I asked that the shower head be left out so I could clean it up and it could be refixed in place. This was done. The doors were done by another company right after the bath area was done. This was very timely. The whole job was done in just a little after a week. I cannot say enough about this company. They are meticulous, professional and easy to work with. When I had questions and concerns, they, the help, the owner, the office girl would listen and promptly answer or solve the problem. For instance I was not completely content with the clear sealant around the tub and the next day they were in there with exactly what I wanted even though the workers portion of the job was finished and we were just waiting on the doors. I have been completely thrilled with the job and I plan on using them again on the downstairs bathroom without even checking with other estimates. They were fair and helpful in every way.

The communication was excellent throughout the experience. They did a great job. They were on time, cleaned up really well everyday and made sure things were as easy as possible for my parents.

The installers, Richard and Billy, were always on time, gave attention to detail and had quality workmanship. They were friendly and always answered our questions. They fixed small flaws without questions and were professional.

The estimate was more than I anticipated for the job and just was not what I was looking for. He was a very nice man. The staff was very good but we chose to use someone else.

I was very impressed with their workmanship. When they first came over, they handed me the Angie's List report form which shows they are proud of their work. Our new bathroom is beautiful. The workmanship is excellent. We enjoyed working with them so much that we are going to have them do our other bathroom.

Installer was on time, started work right away and answered my questions.
