Unique Lawn Care - Indianapolis

Unique treated our lawn for three seasons. The condition of the lawn had deteriorated since we bought the property in 2013. Last year I complained that I was not satisfied with the results of it treatments and I was no longer interested in its services. The salesman promised to make it right, so I told him I would let them treat our lawn for one more season. Unique failed miserably. The last treatment was in January. Today while mowing the lawn, I found quite a few bare spots, dandelions, and an assortment of other weeds. The condition of the lawn is much worse that it was at last season’s start. I will no longer use Unique’s services, nor will I ever be able to recommend it to others. This is unfortunate, since Unique did such a great job at my last home in Fishers. If Unique wants to make it right by me, it can return the money we spent on all the services since the beginning of the last season.

We have a contract with them and they usually come every couple of months or so. They decide what we need and put it on there.

They come on time I have had some minor weed problems.

I've used them for several years now. They give me a better price than anybody else does. They do the same thing that anyone else does, they just do it so reasonably. There have been times when there have been problems with the yard. When I call they come right out and they take care of whatever the problem is. They have been very responsive to issues that I've had with my lawn.

I've been a Unique customer for over 4 years. Not any longer. My yard never looked good and there was always excuses from their reps why. I had all these weeds and I was forced to call them in order to get them to spray. That wasn't the customer service I was expecting. They have their reps walking/fertilizing my yard and they can't miss the weeds, but I had to call to get them sprayed.

I do have a service contract. We have used them for 3 years. They are very reasonably priced. Our yard is certainly better than it was before we used them, but it's not excellent. We do still have some weeds and things so maybe we could use a little better follow up.

It didn't! Had Unique for about 3 years. Things were fine until 6/2016. They left burn marks in my yard and missed blowing off the pellets from my driveway, which I had previously complained about and agreed to continue the service to give them a second chance. With the application in June, there were burn marks in my lawn, and I contacted Chris Ryman (as requested if there was a problem). He responded to my email that he would call me the next day......well, never got the call from him, instead got a recorded message saying if I wanted them to come out to spray for weeds again, to call them. Weeds were not the problem. July rolls around and the treatment was performed. On the invoice, it stated "blew off the driveway!" Still no return call from Chris Ryman. I paid the July invoice, and stated in my email to them that I was cancelling the service and that I have no intention of paying for the June invoice that was also to include free grub treatment. Welp, either they didn't put it down, or the amount was so minimal, that I ended up with grubs. Thanks Unique for the crappy service. I've returned to my previous lawn care company, and funny thing, all the weeds that Unique couldn't kill off, they did in ONE application.

They've been doing a good job. They are always very quick to come if we have a problem. We changed to them because their pricing was better.

Unique Lawn Care took care of all of my issues and we're very professional and prompt. I really appreciated their concern and quick customer service.

We have a contract with them, so they come seven time a year. The service is very well, the lawn look good. If there is a needed before there session I call them and they come the next day to fix the issue.

They are excellent. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The owner of the company I spoke with actually has a degree in this area. I told him his prices are out of my range and that is why I really wasn't interested and they called back the next day with worth price so the price was very reasonable.

I have stopped doing business with Unique. I had been a customer for 4 years but have more weeds now than when I started. Calls for a service call would be weeks away, normally when next service was scheduled. There were several excuses for the delay but bottom line is I just did not get the service I wanted.

We had a yearly plan with them. The interaction with them was good, and the work was above average.

Well ... I spoke to the neighbor across the street this past spring about lawn care they told me about the GREAT $40 deal from Unique. The neighbor has a smaller yard than mine so I called to get a similar deal. I was told that the salesman that gave my neighbor that price didn't work for them anymore. So, I would have to pay more. I should have turn and run at that point. They came and treated the lawn... or supposedly treated the lawn. I truthfully saw no difference. Another treatment... not much difference. And another treatment....nothing. Unique bragged about how they were different and how the did things that other lawn care companies. I saw absolutely no difference. I was told that "it takes a while" to get rid of the weeds. How long is a while? I finally went to the John Deer Lawn Care store in Fishers and bought weed killer and guess what? After ONE spray, the weeds were gone. Hmmm... one treatment and my weeds were gone, 3 Unique treatments and nothing. Maybe they should go to the John Deer Lawn Care store! I can actually compliment them on their notification... the guy called before coming out to take care of the lawn. A simple word of advice... run away from this company. Run far and fast. If you do decide to use them, DO NOT accept the first number they throw out. Cut that amount in half and be firm. They will call back. They will tell you a sob story. And especially with this company, you need to make plans to go buy weed killer to actually take care of the weeds. Or, save the money and go buy your own. At least your lawn will look better than mine.

What a great company! They are very responsive to my needs and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure that my lawn looks great! I've used them now for about 3 yrs and would recommend them to my clients who are purchasing new homes

For over a year now they have been promising to stay on top of things to actually fix the problem of how horrible they have made my front yard look over the past year. Yet I am the one that has to call to make sure they do what they say they will do. I had to call each and every time for them to provide the recovery service they said they would take care of and stay on top of the issue until my yard look healthy again. The only thing I can say is that this company sure does a lousy job of customer service and doing what they say they will do. I

In the spring of 2013 I spoke with a sales representative who was going door-to-door in my neighborhood. We had just moved in the previous fall and our yard was terrible. The front was sod and the back had been hydro-seeded and was just mostly bare. I walked him around the property to show him how bad the grass was and he assured me that by the end off the fall it would be thick and full. He told me that over-seeding was included and that they even do a slice seeding for a few hundred dollars additional, but that the over-seeding would fill everything in nicely. I paid for the entire year which also include the aeration in the fall. Through the summer my yard looked terrible and full of weeds with no improvement. When I called and told them they sent someone out to spray for weeds. In October I noticed that no one had yet to be out to seed the lawn so I called to find out when this would happen. The manager told me that seeding is not included and that the salesperson will "tell you anything to get a sale." He did offer to have someone spread the seed if I provided it when they came out to do the aeration. He told me to buy a fifty pound bag off tall-type turf fescue and if they put down the entire bag it would fill in the yard. I bought the seed which was an addition $100 and left it out for them to spread. I got home to find the aeration done but the seed was not spread. It took another several weeks before someone came out again to aerate, but they only spread just a small amount of the seed. I have a sprinkler system, but it was so late in the year that almost none of the seed grew. No one seemed to care at all that the salesperson lied to me, but told me to give them another year and they would get it done right the next fall. Of course, when I cancelled my service with them they finally wanted to do whatever they needed to do keep my business.

I contacted them to discuss lawn care after a flyer was left in my door, I received a very detailed and rehearsed sales pitch from a very nice gentleman who assured me their higher price was worth the cost and my lawn was not being maintained properly by my current service provider. I agreed to 1 year of service with them and prepaid the entire amount to recieve a discount. From the begining my lawn began to digress, weeds were abundant. I notified them and they sent someone out. A week later I was surrounded by weeds again, I notified them and they sent someone out. Each time their response was, "just call and we'll send somone out" I thought that was what I was paying them for? After my year was up, it was clearly time to return to Naturescape, which I did. However, I was very surprised when I found a flag in my yard from Unique letting me know my first application was complete. I phoned to let them know that our 1 year trial did not go so well and I was returning to my previous care provider. They said that's fine they would cancel the service, however I was responsible for the bill because all of their previous invoices had stated, "For your convenience, service continues from season to season." After hearing this, I told the gentleman that our intial verbal agreement was for a one year trial only and Unique did not live up to their promise to provide better lawn care and that I had not received any other statements since I prepaid for the entire year. He apologized and it was my understanding that the matter was closed. Fast forward to today when I received a 60 day past due notice for $43.87 for the unauthorized and unagreed upon treatment they provided. I called the office to notify them that I considered my account clear after my previous discussion and did not plan on paying for unauthorized work. A very nasty lady informed me that this type practice is done by all landscaping businesses and that they expected payment in full. No other companies that I've done business with in the past have had use this type of tactic to keep customers and one that does should be given careful consideration before you doing business with them 6/24/2014 I recieved a call from their office stating it appeared to be a timing issue with my cancellation of service and the treatment. They have agreed to waive the the charge. Based on the conversation, I have no reason to believe they won't.

Overall the service has been good. We encountered some problems with them following some landscaping work. While we eventually resolved the problems, it took some time. That said, Unique stood by their word and did what they said they would do to repair damage their equipment caused on our lawn that had been reseeded. My only concern is that there seems to be a communication issue between the technicians and the supervisors, office, etc. Often the technicians came out to do the work and didn't appear to have received specific instructions for our service. When this occurred, the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. The lawn treatments have been effective and we continue to use Unique.

Unique Lawn care is an excellent company. Their prices are very competitive and the work they do is excellent. I always receive a call at least 24 hrs before application, which is nice since I have young children that leave toys in the yard. For the past 2 seasons, my lawn has been essentially weed free and is very healthy and green. I would highly recommend them to others.

They were always punctual, professional, and efficient. They definitely earned my business, and I'm very pleased with the work they did. I will definitely use them again in the future.

It didn't go too well. A sales person came through our neighborhood in 2012 selling their service. I signed up for a year, and paid in full up front for a discount. My lawn did not improve, and in fact went downhill. (note I irrigate my lawn and expect it to be green all thru the growing season). In the spring of 21013 I called them and told them I was seeing signs of fungus - red thread disease, and I wanted it treated. They sent my applicator out and he said no it isnt fungus, just left over dead grass from last year. I called them back and told them it is fungus and maybe they should send somebody else to look. They sent a technician and he said yes, it is fungus, and by this time-3 weeks after the first call- it had spread over much of the front yard. they treated for the fungus and it improved some but was not great. the lawn did not respond as I expected after the fertilizer treatments either, I did not ever get the deep healthy green I would expect. After a year I got a bill to renew the service and I called them and told them that I was discontinuing service. they wanted to know why and I told them that my lawn did not look like I wanted it to look. I also told them that weeds were still an issue even though weed treatment was supposed to be part of the service, and their response was well you should have called us for that. I have used lawn service in the past and never had this poor of service from any of them. After I stopped the service I got a bag of scotts fertilizer and applied it per instructions, my lawn perked up immediately and looked good the rest of the year.

I was greeted on the telephone with professionalism. I had asked for info on lawn care and maintenance and he quickly looked up to see if one was available in my area. He was very nice and explained to me he didn't have anyone in my area. He apologized, and I appreciated the eagerness to want to serve and take care of my needs.

We have used Unique Lawn Care last year. They were on time and seem to do their work appropriately. I think between $200 and $300 for the whole season. They seem to be accommodating to your needs. It was a fair pricing compare to other companies that do the same work.
