Two Sisters Painting

Everything went great. The painters did a great job and made sure everything was to our satisfaction.

We purchased a deal for a painter for the day. They contacted us a few days after we purchased and we set up a day. We had several areas (kitchen and hallway) prepped already so that the painter could get as far along as he could during our time period. I did not expect it all to get done, but I wanted to make sure I got the full use of the time! I purchased the paint myself and I bought a good quality paint. The painter showed up promptly at the time they said and started work right away. He was nice, worked efficiently, and did good work. He got two coats on all of the kitchen walls (above the cabinets and behind the refrigerator too) and two coats on part of the hallway. He cleaned up after himself after each section. He said that he could not start an area unless he had enough time to get two coats on it, so he stopped what I would consider a little early but I still think I got a good deal overall and I couldn't ask for better workmanship.

Both the painting and wallpaper removal went very well. The service was prompt and efficient. I would definitely hire them again.

Great. They were very responsive. Debra came and went through my entire home to measure. She provided an estimate via email within a few days. I am still working out my finances to see what all I can afford to have done and what I will need to do myself, but I would definitely recommend them based on what i have seen so far.

I was originally supposed to have one painter for 7 hours and then it changed to two for 4 hours. They we re 30 minutes late but I was not worried about that. The younger man did not have liners for the pans and came back 30 minutes later. During this time I noticed several times they would sit and talk while waiting for the paint to dry. I did mention that to them and the older guy was very offended by what I said. I am the customer is what I told him. He proceeded to let me know that in 4 hours of work they are allowreaks and breaks and even lunch. No, that is not true but sure took a lot of breaks when they could have been painting the trim. Also, the older guy said he would paint the trim and he did not at all and left very fast out of my door. The younger boy, very sweet young man, came back to me to say goodbye and gave me my brook back. Also in the kitchen I have grey paint on my red wall and I am not happy with that. Interestingly enough, I called the business twice yesterday and an sent an e mail and NO ONE has returned my calls. I would rehire but with a different painter.

Dan arrived at the appointed time, brought everything he needed to do the job, and was done in 2 hours. He did an absolutely wonderful job! The wallpaper removal included washing down the walls to get off the glue which I truly appreciated. I was so impressed, that I then asked them to come later to give me an estimate for painting those same walls. Story to be continued.

Other than arriving about an hour later than the agreed upon start time, Maymee did a splendid job. She had everything she needed, asked a few pertinent questions and then got to work. She filled in the small space that remained between the bead board and the wall after the wallpaper removal the week before. That gave the wall a very nice finished look that pleased me very much. She brought to my attention two areas on the largest wall area that didn't look very smooth. She told me how she could smooth it over once the paint had dried and then paint back over it. I agreed, and the results were wonderful. Maymee did a grand job! I've already recommended Two Sisters to friends who have some painting jobs to be done.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! The initial phone conversation to schedule the appointment went really well. Immediately, you can tell why this company has been in business for over 25 years; they treat their customers with care! Debra took the time to answer my questions, listen to the scope of work I wanted performed and offer advice on which items to tackle first. John and his partner were INCREDIBLE!! These gentlemen were true professionals. They were punctual, courteous and very efficient!! The job that they did in 1 day would have easily have taken me 2 months or more. Their work was flawless! I was so impressed with the quality of their work that I've already called back to schedule another appointment. Give them a call, you WON'T be disappointed!!

Dan worked very vigorously to strip the wallpaper off then clean the walls of glue residue. Wallpaper removal can sometimes be a challenge and he handled it well. He was very meticulous to get all corners and edges clear and in the end I could find no leftover wallpaper remains in the areas he worked. The deal through Angie's list was my trigger and based upon Two Sisters Painting, Inc performance I would hire this company again.

Excellent! Painter came in on time, put down drop cloths, when to work. By about noon he had ceiling, 1st coat on halls & closet completed. When to lunch for a half hour, returned and finished the job. Took about 6 hours for a job it would have taken me three or four days. Plus he was much better at trimming in around the ceiling and woodwork then I would ever be.

The paint job went OK but I now have jewelry that is missing. This is not jewelry that I wore all the time so I just recently noticed that it was missing. There was emerald ring, amethyst ring, pearl earrings, aquamarine and some other items.

The painter (Jim) showed up on time and did an excellent job, applying double coats in the desired space. I would definitely hire Two Sisters Painting again - the employees at the Sherwin Williams store knew of their great reputation and I appreciated the company discount on the paint. I plan to have more painting done and I will request Jim specifically. He is a professional painter, completed the work on time, and cleaned up everything. This was a wonderfully positive experience - Highly Recommend!

Late response on pricing of additional repair work. Good price on the paint. Professional paint work. Pretty fast within 1day to finish 2 rooms.

We purchased a Painter for a Day (8 hours of labor) deal from Angie’s List offered by Two Sisters Painting. Our scheduled painter arrived at our house an hour after we were told to expect her (10am instead of 9am). We walked through the home and discussed the touch ups that needed to be completed as I had previously marked all of the areas in question prior to her arrival. I reinforced that I was not interested in having full walls rolled again and that I was more interested in making sure that all spots marked were touched up. She stated that she felt she could complete the work on all 3 levels of the house and began on upstairs as I requested. She began her work with a brush, and after I questioned why she chose a brush over a roller for touch up of rolled walls she said that a brush was best. This concerned me as our builder had been explicit that we should use a roller for all touch up painting work. She left for a 30 minute lunch break after working upstairs for 3 hours and asked me to check out what she had done upstairs. Most of the work looked sufficient; however, a couple of the walls looked really bad (even worse than if we had just left the scuffs in the first place) since a brush had been used instead of a roller. We discussed this when she returned and she asked me if I had told her boss what I wanted done (touch ups), and I told her that yes I had spoken about having our walls touched up to cover the scuffs. She then told me that she had not wanted to do the job requested because she did not feel that it was adequate to simply touch up the walls, and that her boss probably sent her because the men would have complained. She then rolled those full walls to fix it and it looked much better. She told me it was a miscommunication because I told her I was trying to avoid rolling full walls in order to get it all done, but she thought I was worried about the amount of paint instead of the size of the job. The other places she had done upstairs were fine (not great looking), but they were good enough. She then rolled our full first floor (except for one wall that was overlooked) very quickly and it looked very good! She was able to get some of our basement done in the time that she was at our house, but was not able to finish. In addition, I had also wanted her to paint over some spots upstairs on our railing, but that didn’t get done either. She had told me when she arrived that she was leaving at 5pm (since their company builds in a 1 hour lunch break), but she left at 4:50pm. This means that working from 10am-4:50pm, and taking a 30 minute lunch break, we only received 6 hours and 20 minutes worth of work instead of the 8 hours of labor that the Angie’s List purchase clearly states that purchaser would receive. I feel that with the extra 1 hour and 40 minutes that she could have finished the job. Once she started rolling the walls, she was very efficient. After she had returned from lunch and we had discussed the fact that the walls really needed to be rolled, she stated that she would try to get as much done for me as possible by 5pm (especially because of the miscommunication and the fact that she took 3 hours upstairs), so I wasn’t pleased that she left 10 minutes earlier than she had told me. Additionally, she used the utility tub in our laundry room and left dirt/paint in the bottom of it where I was stuck cleaning it that night. We also noticed a few streaks of dried paint that had run down our driveway right beside the area where she had pulled into our driveway to park. We were able to diminish the appearance of the paint on our concrete after significant scrubbing and pressure washing of the area; however, there’s still a slight discoloration in that area of our driveway. We have pictures of the area in question showing the paint streaks and discoloration, and we would be happy to send those to you if you can provide us an email address. We called and spoke with the owner of the business to discuss potential solutions. We informed her that we felt that we were close to having the job completed satisfactorily; however, we were not satisfied due to the issue with the time spent upstairs on the areas that needed to be repainted (because a brush was used to touch up the rolled walls) and the fact that we did not receive the full 8 hours of labor that the deal specified we would receive when we purchased it. She said the job is actually only supposed to be 7 hours (because of a lunch break), but Angie’s List always lists it as 8 hours. Two days later, we received an email response from the owner stating that she had discussed the situation with her employee, who said that “she worked very hard without any lunch break to try to get everything done for us” (NOTE: despite the fact that we discussed what she had ordered when she came back after her 30 minute break). The only offer she made related to this situation was 20% off a future project. The owner sided with her worker instead of the customer. We only received 6 hours and 20 minutes of labor as part of the 8 hours that we had purchased. We feel like bad judgment was used when using a brush instead of a small roller upstairs, especially after we discussed whether to use a brush or a roller. It took a huge block of the time to do it that way and then it did not look good, resulting in some of the work having to be redone. We are pleased with how our first floor looks, but, not only was the job not completed, she also left paint on our concrete and we were stuck cleaning up inside and outside after her appointment. We purchased this deal to save us time, but it’s taking us a lot of time to try to clean the concrete and write this report, etc. Please let us know how you would like for us to send you the pictures and email communication with Two Sisters that relates to this job. I bought an Angie's List Big Deal that included one painter for one day for $249. Two Sister's called me right away to schedule. Jim showed up on time and I showed him what I wanted painted. He asked me to prioritize as it was a lot of work for one day. He was able to get the ceiling painting done, as well as two coats in the living room and hallway and one coat finished in the family room. I was surprised at how much he was able to complete as it was a lot of work for one person. The paint looked great and he cleaned everything up afterwards. I couldn't even tell that he'd been there except for how great my walls looked.

The owners came out in person to review job and provide accurate estimate and then followed up throughout the process including a final walk through to inspect the work. They found a couple areas not to their satisfaction and had their crew go back and redo without any asking or prompting from me. Their crew were efficient and worked hard throughout the day once onsite. They repaired holes left by many pictures from the previous owners as well as drywall 'pops'. I will certainly call them again in the future.

Very well, the painters did a great job!

Everything was great! I messaged the company through AL in the evening and they replied almost immediately. I went ahead and purchased the Big Deal and they had a spot open in the schedule and got me in within 2 days!! It was really last minute but I appreciated being added in quickly because I had furniture coming over the weekend. They called me the next day to confirm what I needed done. I had a peach bedroom that was about 13x13 with a 12 ft vaulted ceiling. They scheduled one woman to come out. She arrived a little later than expected but called me beforehand to let me know. Once she arrived she worked consistently and finished the 2 coats taking the room to a light grey on 3 walls with a Navy accent wall in about 6.5 hours. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for future jobs.
