Two Sisters Painting

We contacted Two Sisters Painting initially because of a Groupon deal for 8 hours of painting for $199. We had a den/ great room with a 13-14' ceiling peak. We had already picked out the main and accent colors and stocked up on paint during a Sherman Williams sale, We also picked ceiling paint. The owner came out to look at the room and told us that the room could be done within the deal price and offered us excellent advice on this room, and on other rooms we were interested in painting. She was very personable and when we asked about adding the ceiling to the job, she agreed to give us the same deal on another 8 hours (one additional painter) to get all the work done the same day. We set the appointment for two days later. The two painters, David and John, arrived on time and were very pleasant and professional. They got started and I left for the office. I returned at lunch and noted with the guys that the ceiling would need another coat. They agreed to give the ceiling another coat and still finish on time. They ended up staying an extra 30 min to get everything done, and the wife and I are very pleased with the quality and professionalism of David and John. We would definitely recommend this provider to anyone.

Debra came out and quoted the job late December. There were some delays due to illness and weather. The painting was $200 cheaper than the low end of the quote because they finished half a day ahead of schedule. Upon completion we noticed lots of cigarette butts on the ground all around our sidewalk from the workers. We had them match paint we already had in the house but she talked me into using flat paint instead of matching the eggshell paint we gave her. It is not recommended to use flat paint in a house with 3 active young boys and we are learning the hard way why. They also caulked against our stained (not painted) woodwork which makes it look like it has paint on it. There are also several blemishes on the walls that were supposed to be repaired as part of the wallpaper removal and painting combination, but were not. We presented these issues to Debra but our requests were denied.

To begin with, they were running about 45 minutes to an hour late. They did at least call to let me know, which I appreciated. First thing when they walked in the door, one of them starts talking about what a good deal I'm getting, and asked me if it would be okay with me if they finished all the painting and it didn't take them the whole eight hours. It made me pretty uncomfortable - it seemed like they were planning on sacrificing quality work so they could get done early, even though I'd already paid for the eight hours. At lunchtime I had to run out for more paint, and I told them I'd be back in 30 minutes. I was, but they didn't come back for another 30 minutes after that. The afternoon seemed to go smoothly. When they finished up, at first glance everything looked pretty good, although the paint was still drying so it was a little hard to tell. When I was able to take a closer look, however, this is what I found: There were big drips and roller marks in the office, but otherwise that looked pretty good. The half bath had paint spattered everywhere. I was scraping it off the sink, the toilet, and the floor. I'll have to touch up the white trim, though - that can't be scraped off without ruining the original trim paint. Behind the door it looked like he spilled paint down the trim casing around the door; there is a big streak that he either didn't or couldn't wipe off completely. Also, paint was spattered on the light switch (not the plate, which I had previously removed, but the switch itself). They lost half the screws to the switch plates and outlet covers in the laundry room. I'm not exaggerating, literally half of them were gone. Paint was spattered all over the floor. That room needs another coat of paint, which isn't entirely their fault. Part of that is due to the color, but part of it may also be due to the fact that they were in a hurry. He kept talking about how hard they work, and how they work such long days, and how many days in a row. That really bothered me. I have a demanding job, and I understand hard work. Maybe he was just trying to make conversation, but it seemed like he just didn't want to be there. That contributed to the overall impression I now have; which is that they do not value their work. I guess if something seems to good to be true... It looks like I got what I paid for with the half-price "deal." I will say this - they did the work a lot faster than I could have, but that's about it. I know I could have done a much better job. I'm someone who takes pride in my work and values quality over quantity. Next time I'll just do it myself or hire someone else and spend a little more money.

I had previously found Two Sisters last year off an AL Big Deal! They are very professional and do a fabulous job! I just sold my condo and was trying to do some self touch ups with paint~bad idea on my part! I called Debra and explained the bind I was in not thinking she would be able to accommodate my request for same day small fix BUT she did! Highly Recommended! Thanks!

It worked out very well. He was here for probably 4 or 5 hours maybe.

.The quality of their work was outstanding. I have not found one mistake and the walls look beautiful. They were friendly, thorough and cleaned up every day before leaving. They estimated 2-3 days and completed the work in 2.5 days. I would gladly use Two Sisters for additional work and would recommend them to anyone.

I was not too pleased with them. When they tore down the wallpaper they took a lot of the drywall. Now I have to find someone to fix my drywall. They did a good job downstairs, upstairs is were they did a bad job. I dislike the fact that it is going to cost me more money to get it done. The people that work for were gone and she called in some other people that did a bad job. They did come out with in a month. The price was fine. I do not know if I would use them again.

We are very pleased with the painting. The painters were personable, professional, and they worked quickly while not sacrificing quality. However, the job started a day late due to sick painters, but we appreciated that we were always kept in the loop as to what was happening. When the job did begin the painters did arrive late every day. At completion there was a box of trash left. Overall we are happy with the end result, and we would use Two Sisters again.

They removed wallpaper in my great room, sanded, and painted that entire room, including cathedral ceiling, and kitchen. They also painted ceilings in 3 bdrms, 2 baths, hall and utility room. And removed wallpaper in master bath. They were very professional, and at one time there were 4 people in my home working. The wallpaper would not removed well, so we worked out a solution together for my masterbath. They worked well with me on the new charges/billing. I will use them again. Thanks.

Everything went very smoothly from the estimate, to the final room several months later, Debra was very helpful, careful and prompt. Debra was very easy to work with, always available for help, and extremely flexible when we had to keep rescheduling the laundry room. We we definitely recommend, and will use again when we are ready to paint the exterior. Her painters are friendly, attentive, and very nice to have around.

We scheduled the work, they let us choose the colors and did a professional job. I really enjoyed working with them They took down wall paper that had been painted over in a 12 x 15 room, mudded the walls and painted

Two Sisters was very responsive to all communications from the onset. They came to the home to preview the job, showed up on the days scheduled, and were flexible with our requests. The painters also made a suggestion about how to paint fireplace area which was instrumental in making the room look great. We had nothing but a pleasant experience with this vendor and would highly recommend them to others.

Stripped wallpaper, prepared walls (sand and spackled) then painted living room, hallway, stairs, and bathroom. Will be using early next year additional rooms.

The guys did an excellent job, and everything looks wonderful now. They went beyond expectations in helping meet the goal of completing these rooms within the timeframe I had. They really care about their work and do not cut corners or leave anything undone. I would definitely plan on using them to paint the rest of the inside of my house about five or six weeks from now. I am very happy with the work they did and that they were available so close to Christmas.

The owner of the company, who completed the scheduling with me, was very polite and professional. Although I was disappointed that they couldn't come sooner, I know they were very busy and she got me in as soon as she could. The two men who came to complete the painting were also very polite and professional, and completed the work well--they painted all of the trim in our upstairs hallway (door frames and baseboards), and also completed the trim inside of one bedroom in the time allotted. I was pleased with the experience and the quality of the job done.

I purchased a big deal from Two Sisters Painting to have the wallpaper removed in my living room. Debra responded right away and we set up a time for her to check out the job and discuss what I wanted. We met and I immediately felt comfortable with her and knew they would be the right ones for the job. She answered my questions, gave me some color ideas and helpful suggestions. I asked if the job could be done before Christmas and she was able to schedule it for the following week. Originally, the job was to take two days but ended up taking 2 1/2. Since it had taken me 6 weekends just to strip the wallpaper and paint the dining room, this was not an issue. I also ended up having the 1/2 bath painted and I am really happy with the color and the work. Everything was cleaned up when they were done each day, they were very professional, and their rates are reasonable. I will be calling them in the spring to remove more wallpaper and paint additional rooms.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out very good. They did a good job of removing the wallpaper. I also had them back to put new wallpaper in the room they removed the paper in. They did a good job on that. I did not see anything that they did wrong. They more than satisfied my expectations. They were not in touch with me right away. I had to call them back a couple of times, but I think there were potentially some extenuating circumstances. She comes when she says she is going to come.

I really liked the service. They came and worked quickly. Let me borrow some sliders and helped move the few last minute big pieces. Also was helpful in my last minute change in paint colors. She gave me her opinion on what would look good. Overall, great job and got it all done in 1 day. I would hire them again for my next painting project.

The job went well. The painters arrived on time and worked taking only a break for lunch. They were professional and pleasant while in my home. They were neat and cleaned-up well. I felt that the price for the work was a good value.

An employee was scheduled to remove wallpaper from our powder room. The service was estimated to take 3 hours. This was great since the deal I bought was 3 hours/$99. The employee apologetically showed up over an hour late, then took about 6 hours to complete the job. She worked quietly and thoroughly, but the smell of cigarette smoke permeated our first floor.

Two sisters did a great job, I couldn't be happier! They were really efficient and did more during their time here than I had expected, which is always nice when you are paying by the hour. Their staff was friendly and professional...I will definitely be using again! I purchased a big deal in advance, and it was worth every penny!
