Debra came to our home to give us a quote . Painters arrived promptly on the scheduled day - we asked they arrive early before we left for work. Upon completion, our home looked lovely and painters did a nice job of cleaning up.

Excellent. They were great- from scheduling to prompt arrival, and of course a great job! This is the second time I’ve gone through them for necessary painting, and I highly recommend them. You will NOT be disappointed!!

I went fine. I was comfortable with having them in my home, loved the detailed estimate, and they were easy to work with. Did a great job and will have them next time I need painting done.

Their color consultation is spot on. They are able to offer suggestions based on lighting, furnishings and my taste. I am thrilled with how it looks. They are professional, tidy, punctual, immaculate as far as quality goes and I trust them to complete the job on time without needing supervision by me. 2 men came and painted my foyer to get it ready for the market. They worked joyfully to 80s hits, were friendly, respectful, worked quickly and precisely, and cleaned up after themselves. Will definitely hire again!

Working with the owners of the company is such a joy. Deb is owner and manager of a small group of painters that she over-sees for all of her jobs. She physically comes to your home during and at completion to check quality of work. In addition, she will come back for any problem areas later identified. My condo had new flooring laid the week before. The floor molding and shoe molding that was added to complete the flooring required extensive detailed work by the painters. They did an excellent job through-out. The painters followed their daily schedule without any deviation. The completion time was predicted perfectly. She had 3 painters doing the work each day. I can not be more pleased with her service. Pricing was very fair. She worked with me due to my limits on my budget.

Good work. It was for 2 painters for 8 hrs, but one painter was a few hours late. That being said, they seemed to get a lot done - really they got finished with what I wanted to get done that day. And I think they did a good job.

They did a great job, arrived on time and cleaned up when leaving AND were pleasant!

They came out and estimated it would probably cost more. With wall paper you just never know. Took much longer than estimated. They don't use any product like DIF which I have always found to be extremely helpful. First day out they were late (due to weather I will give them that) but the individual had no ladder, no bags just came with a tarp and a scrapper I had to provide the rest. Over the weekend I took off the other room of paper myself as it was fairly easy to remove to help them out. We had a minor disagreement on what I thought I would be required to pay over the Angies list coupon but they ultimately agreed and in a very professional manner. They had also bid on a whole house painting project, but I elected to use someone else based on this experience which was unfortunate. They were very thorough on their painting bid which I really appreciated but were higher than the others.

Very professional. Cleaned up after himself. Quality work. Dan is a perfectionist which I truly appreciated. He never took a break except half an hour for lunch. Very trustworthy also. I AM going to hire again to do my other bedroom, hall, dining room and kitchen. I had to cancel appointments a couple of times and they were very gracious. Very punctual also. My rooms hadn't been painted for probably 20 years, looks beautiful now!

The work for this proposal was not performed, but I was impressed with the management/owners.

Dan did a very good job! He worked very quickly to get everything accomplished, and the quality was fantastic! I will definitely be using this company again for all my painting needs.

First, worker arrived late. Second, paper was removed in a haphazard maner. Lastly, walls were left with an awful odor and in rough shape for later 1painting.

Service was great. The painters were punctual and professional. The work looked great when it was done. I really appreciated the suggestions on colors and the overall experience with Two Sisters was great. We will definitely use them again.

We received an email the following day and they went through the process. A date was set within the week. We expected the painter to be there at 9:00 but prior to that he called and said he was running late. No problem. We had taken things off the wall and "patched" the nail holes the night before. But he took the time to hammer in nails that were coming out and patch even more. He went to work right away and did an excellent job. The deal was for 8 hours at $250.00. He worked through his lunch and completed the job before 3:00. He even touched up a section in the doorway to the kitchen that we had painted several years ago. He cleaned up everything before leaving. Great job and we would hire Two Sisters again!

Well satisfied with painting and removal of wallpaper. No spillage of paint. Punctual and completed work on time. Owner was very professional and made sure I was pleased with work quality.

Went well. Had purchased the $249 Painter for a Day. Jeff gave his opinion when asked and was very pleasant to work with. He was very careful on painting smooth edges. The job couldn't be finished in one day so he came back for another morning of painting which cost another $100.

On October 24, 2016, Two Sisters Painting Inc., Indiana Business ID 2013082000143 (Debra Dudas) and I formed a contract to: hang and finish (drywall mud, sand, and finish) drywall, use cornerbeads, and I would supply the drywall for my basement walls, ceiling, basement bathroom, and utility room. The contract was for $2,254.86 for the labor. During our conversations I asked if they were insured and bonded and Mr. Quinn stated that they were. However, I was never provided any documentation of this at that time. It was also discussed that after it was painted there might be some minor touchups. Mrs. Dudas, subcontracted Paul Quinn 1231 East New Rd. Greenfield, Indiana 46140 to perform the labor. Mr. Quinn’s crew came out on November 7, 2016, to start and initially things went fine. I actually emailed Mrs. Dudas and told her the status of the labor had went well the first few days. They hung the drywall, put up cornerbeads, and did the finishing on the seams and screws. They missed some areas within the basement and in the utility rooms, forgot to put up a corner bead, and some rough spots, however, Mr. Quinn stated when they came back to do the bathroom they would go back over the areas they use drywall mud on and they would smooth everything out. It was also agreed at that time, my downstairs bathroom had not been finished by the plumber, because it was getting all new plumbing and some of it would be in the walls. Mr. Quinn agreed he would come back and hang and finish the bathroom that was contracted also to do when the plumbing was done. It is known, and Mrs. Dudas and Mr. Quinn, stated that after you paint you have to come back sometimes and do some light sanding and mud to fix some rough areas because you can’t always tell until it is painted. I agreed to this and had no issues with having to paint a few additional areas that would need touch ups. Approximately, within the first week of December 2016, I had the electricians come back out and attach the new electrical wall outlets to the wall. The basement was completely rewired and the outlets had to be left unattached until the drywall was up. At that time the electrician stated that when the drywall was put up that the dry-wallers had broken all of the “ears,” off the outlets and screwed them in wrong. The “ears” are what attach to the drywall and screw into the socket. We were perplexed why this was done. However, the electrician said it would cost $200.00 to replace all of them. These outlets were not even a month old. We had him replace them at that time and I contacted Mrs. Dudas regarding the damage. I emailed her a copy of the receipt with the electrician detailed description of the damage to the outlets. Mrs. Dudas couldn’t explain why Mr. Quinn’s dry-wallers broke the ears and she would contact Mr. Quinn about it, however, she agreed to take the $200.00 off of the overall price of the $2,254.86. On December 16, 2016, Mrs. Dudas emailed me and requested a payment of $2,000.00, I spoke with her and reminded her that the downstairs bathroom was not done yet that was included in the contract and she agree to $1,800.00 and I would pay the remaining $200.00 of the contract when Mr. Quinn finished the bathroom and did the finishing for the rest of the basement. I mailed her a check on December 29, 2016, check number 132 for $1,800.00 and made the check out to Two Sisters Painting, within the memo I wrote, “Payment Partial Completion Drywall.” Mrs. Dudas cashed that check on January 9, 2017. Within the month of January 2017, I purchased: two 5 gallon buckets of Valspar Interior Latex Primer at $60.98 each, two 5 gallon Valspar Reserve Latex Interior Paint and Primer at $193.00 each, and two Valspar Reserve Flat interior paint and primer for the ceiling at $179.00 each from Lowes to paint the basement walls and ceilings that Mr. Quinn hung and did the finishing of the drywall. These paints are high end paints and the best Lowe’s sell, it took me two days to paint the basement. Upon putting two coats of primer and two coats of paint on the ceiling and the walls I started noticing a lot of issues within the seams and screw holes where Mr. Quinn did the finishing. You could see all of the seams and where he put drywall mud, areas that were cracking, bubbling in the dry wall mud, unevenness all over, pitting, and a lot of areas that were not sanded or finished properly. I contacted Mr. Quinn and he said he would have his crew come back out and go over it. When his crew arrived again, they looked at the walls and ceilings and stated they didn’t realize how bad it was and went over only the ceiling. They put some additional drywall mud and sanding only on the ceiling. They said they would address all the issues on the walls when they came back to do the bathroom. They said to paint the ceiling again and if it didn’t work that they would come back and go over it again. I put two more coats of paint on the ceiling and it still looked horrible. I contacted Mr. Quinn and he stated they would address it when they do the bathroom. Approximately within the month of March 2017, I contracted Paul and left several messages for him that the plumbing was done and the bathroom was ready to be dry walled. It took several times to reach Mr. Quinn because he didn’t return phone calls. I explained to him the issues and he said he would try and get me a date to come back out. Mr. Quinn never did.

Go with someone else! First the good: The initial meeting for the estimated was good and professional. One of the Sisters took their time and went through the areas with me and we talked about paint type and she thouroughly measured and looked everything over, including a drywall taping and muding issue in our inlaw bathroom which I specifically pointed out. She said it wasn't a big deal and they could take care of it. I felt good about how it went. Only other good thing was the first day, the first guy showed up early (I thought that was a good sign) even though two of the others were late showing up. They got me on the schedule the next week (maybe that should have been a warning, as most other painters with good ratings were at least two weeks out, but I needed it done quick). The bad: During the quote we spoke about paint and we were supposed to go with a medium sheen product. When the initial estimate came back it was a little high but they could get me scheduled quick so I said ok and asked about submitting colors. That's when they said paint want included in the estimate. I said I would have to pass and go with another quote that was about $300 less but a couple weeks out and didn't include the paint (should have stuck with that guy). They asked what the quote was and said that they could iclude the paint and so I said we were back on. Then I submitted the colors and they said it would be a flat sheen, hides imperfections better, but is also cheaper and easier for less experienced painters to avoid visible roll lines (after seeing the work done, I feel that was the real motivation behind the switch). The really bad/unprofessional: Drywall correction that was supposed to have been done in the estimate wasn't even attempted, they simply painted over what was there. When I had them come back to look at it they said that they didn't notice it needed as much work and that it would cost more (convienant after it was already painted). They physically viewed the issue before painting, during the estimation, and said it wouldn't be an issue and they could take care of it (it wasn't some site unseen thing). I now have to pay someone else to actually correct the issue and repaint. That is a bait and switch tactic to me and not what a reputable company does. Additionally, several areas of cutting in and where walls abutted were not clean lines and had to be redone, I hired a "professional" to avoid these issues.
