He repaired it promptly and cleaned the inside of the refrigerator and that was not a necessary part of the repair. He was careful to avoid getting moisture on the rug that was in the room and we were very impressed.

Starting with our first contact with their receptionist through to our interaction with their technician, they were professional, cheerful and very helpful. We were especially pleased at their Saturday hours at no additional charge. We had Turner come out to inspect our dishwasher after it stopped responding to any setting we input. The technician came out on time as scheduled, and quickly diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher. The main computer in our washer needed to be replaced at a cost more than the initial value of the machine. The technician thouroughly explained the options available to us, and offered to apply his service fee to his next visit if we had them install a new washer. While we were not able to find a washer in their inventory that we wanted to purchase, we were extremely pleased with out interaction.
Description of Work: Turner's technician came out to inspect our broken dishwasher. The dishwasher had stopped working suddenly and would quit halfway through its cycle.

Description of Work: We had a problem with our electric dryer. The technician, Ricky, came on time. He called me when he was 10 to 15 minutes away from our home. He came in and realized the issue was simple and correctable. He was here no more than 15 minutes. I called another provider and this company could not come until next Tuesday. This was no acceptable since my mother (age 89) needs clean clothes on a daily basis. Hence we do a lot of washing and drying. In addition, the other provider was going to charge us almost 2.5 times as much for the service call. I shall definitely use this company again.

 + -1 moreSteve called ahead alerting me of his arrival. He arrived on-time, was very friendly and knowledgable. He assessed the situation and identified two possible issues. While discussing my options, Steve noticed a new sound coming from the fridge and immediately investigated. He was able to identify a third scenario, tested it and was able to fix the problem withtout a return trip. He not only fixed my refrigerator but cleaned behind it before he put it back!

 + -1 moreMy front-load washer stopped working Monday morning. I called Turner Appliance and they were available for a service call on Tuesday afternoon. The service technician diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes of arriving at my home. The repair was made within the next 10 minutes. The technician offered insightful information regarding front-load washers as we were finalizing the bill. Total repair time was less than 1/2 hour. The technician gave an advance phone call and arrived early for the job. I have used their services before and would absolutely call them again!

 + -1 moreOur front load washing machine wouldn't power on when I attempted to start a load of laundry. The dryer next to it worked just fine. We had a new whole house electrical panel installed two days prior, but we didn't see anything wrong with the circuit breakers in the box, so we just assumed it had to be something wrong with the washer. My husband called Turner Appliance in the morning and they were out by late afternoon on the same day. The technician was courteous, he checked everything with the washing machine, then he checked the electrical outlet. Found the problem was in the electrical outlet and not our machine.
Description of Work: We have a three year old front load whirlpool washing machine that wouldn't power on. Technician from Turner Appliance Repair tested the machine, then found the problem was the new electrical panel installed in our house two days prior. No problems with the washer (thank goodness!!).

 + -1 moreVery smoothly, according to my wife (I was at work at the time). The technician, Jeff Birchler, arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and made the necessary fix. My wife indicated that Mr. Birchler did the work in a very professional manner - even going to the extend of explaining to her the steps he was taking to make the repair in terms she could understand, while she stood by and observed. She found Mr. Birchler very conscientious about the work he performed, and was most courteous throughout the process

 + -1 moreThey looked at my 7-burner stove, which had suddenly gone out. However, it can no longer be used, as the parts are no longer available. They were fine. I reviewed them for quite a long time. They have previously come out and serviced the stove whenever something needed to be done. So, I have had a long-standing relationship with them. I kept using them because they always did a good job. They have always been professional, except for one time, when somebody showed up looking a little scruffy in a beard and I did hesitate at that time. However, that was several years ago. They were always punctual and they always called before they came out. I will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Turner Appliance Inc., a week or two ago. They repaired my stove.

 + -1 moreWoke up to a dead refrigerator. Called Turner at 8:15, technician showed up at my door at 12:30. It turned out that the problem was simply a blown fuse. A $110 service charge seems steep just to replace a fuse, but I was told the fee covers me for 30 days in case the problem turns out to be deeper and they need to come back. Plus, they were kind enough to not charge me for the fuse. The technician that came was nice, personable, and helpful. All in all I am very happy with the experience.

It was brought to our attention by Turner Appliance that it would cost more money to repair then it would to purchase a new one.  + -1 moreMy Carol says it is not completely corrected but I don't experience any problem sexcept for the R/Fdoor which seems to inch open occasionally.
Description of Work: Repaired Fridge--Freezer Combo which was desfrosting continuously and draining water on kitchen floor. Replaced "circut board" but did not know whether that was it or not and it ultimately seemed to be. Several days after visit, The indoor R/F defrosted overnite with water all over kitchen floor. Fortunately when called I was told to soak up the mess by using thick towels until repair person could arrive. This was on a Sat and they were done working and did not work on Suday but the same repair person came out first thing Mon and his diagnosis was the unit was haywire due to the recent IPL Short term Power Outage after his visit. He also thought the door to main fridge side was bent allowing cold air to escape and he tried to a had a little succes in straightening the door. It seems to be working alll right and not defrosting, but the door stil seems to push out after awhile and needs to be shoeved back or bent a little more. The young man was Friendly, Thourough and provided several helpful hints and also double checked out the older plain upright freezor in the garage and found it was OK still . On second visit for the record he was prompt, helpful and friendly and was genuinely concerned.

 + -1 moreOur 3 yr old washer quit working mid-week and we called GE Service and they said it would take over a week to get out to our house. We called Turner Appliance and they sent Troy out the next morning. He was prompt and professional. He determined that a belt had broke and the pulley was out of place and he said he would be out the next day with the new part for installation. He came back out bright and early the next morning and replaced the belt and was on his way. We are extremely happy with Turner Appliance and will use them for all our appliance service needs in the future. This is the type of service I remember my parents getting back in the 70s...a rare find. Thank you Troy and Turner Appliance!

 + -1 moreI was truly impressed by the communication and willingness to go the extra mile. When we realized that the switch was bad, the repair person did not have the part on hand. He said that he would need to order it and come back on Monday to put it in. That would likely fix our problem unless the compressor had also failed. I was not looking forward to a weekend with just a cooler and no chance to refrigerator shop if needed but I understood. 30 minutes later the repair person called back and said that he was able to find the part back at the office and would bring it back to my house immediately instead of waiting until Monday. He came back, fixed the fridge, and took away the problem before the weekend! I was amazed...it is not typical to get service like this in my experience. This is the second time I have used their repair service and I will use it again.
Description of Work: They repaired our 7 year old refrigerator which had stopped working. When they first came out, the repair person said that he thought it was likely to be the starting switch since we had had quite a few power outages recently. He replaced the switch and we found out that the compressor was still fine.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. After a recent basement flooding, my front loading washer was making a noise when the drum turned. I called on Friday afternoon and was able to get an appointment for Saturday either morning or afternoon, whichever was best for me. Afternoon was better, and I was told that David would be the technician coming to my home to do the repair. His diagnosis was that the motor was bad (not surprising since there have been several times when the basement has flooded). He also was able to diagnose the problem with two burners on my gas range. David gave me the cost upfront for doing the repair on the washer motor and the gas range and the cost for the replacement parts. On Monday, Turner checked to see if a replacement motor for the washer was in stock; it was, and we scheduled a time on Tuesday to do the repairs. Both times before arriving, David called to say he was on his way. He was polite and professional and tolerant of my three dogs who tried to help with the repairs. He repaired the washer first, then the range. That repair which was more difficult to access and repair than the washer motor but he did a nice job with both.
Description of Work: Diagnosis and repair of noise coming from my washer when the drum turned. Also did a diagnosis and repair of my gas range (the two back burners would not ignite).

 + -1 moreThe technician, Jeff, arrived on time. He explained what had happened over the 14 year life of the washer and showed me the broken part. He quickly installed a new agitator dog kit, reassembled the agitator and ran a test run to be sure it solved the problem. Jeff was efficient, courteous and pleasant to work with. We have used this company before and would use them again.
Description of Work: The agitator in my top loader washer was "free wheeling". It was just spinning freely in both directions.
