+ -1 moreThey are very responsive, especially if you suggest it is an emergency type of thing. One of the things I really liked was when I had a problem with an under counter ice maker. He taught me how to clean it myself to help save us some money. It was really nice of him to put out to me that I didn’t need a repair man for something like that. I just find them to very polite; they do their job, and move on. They are great.
Description of Work: They have worked on our under counter ice maker, dishwasher, and repaired other major appliances. The last time they were here we had a problem with our oven. It was a manufactures problem and not something they could fix. The appliance was under warranty so it had to be fixed through the manufacture.

+ -1 moreOur washer was filling slowly, then finally stopped working on Sunday. I called Turner monday morning for help. Chris showed up as promised between 12 and 2, quickly diagnosed the cause, quoted the cost, and ordered the part after we agreed. He was back the next morning, replaced the part, and the washer was back in action by 10:00. Chris was very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. He was also courteous and responsive to questions.
Description of Work: diagnosed the cause of the dysfunctional washer, got the part needed, and completed the repair within 24 hours of our distress call

+ -1 moreThey did a wonderful job, coming out even outside of "normal business hours" on the return visit since things were not working properly. The technician was very polite, and when it became evident that our dryer was not repairable, offered a refund for the service calls that they had been out on.
Description of Work: Turner appliance came out to work on a dryer that was failing. They came out twice and replaced two parts, but eventually informed us that the dryer was done and they would not be able to repair it further.

+ -1 moreLG front loading washer quit working after filling with water & displayed a "Motor Overload" code of LE. I called Turner at 10 am and they were able to give me same day service between 3 & 5 pm. But about 10 minutes later the repairnan called and said he was already in the area and could come over. He was here by 1 gave me an estimate for what he was 99% sure the price would be with the service call, parts & labor. He had the part with him, by 1:45 my machine was back in working order. Very pleasant, very professtion, cleaned up and best of all I could finish my laundry. I have used them before for the refrigerator & dryer. Each time I have been very please. Don't forget to use their coupon!

+ -1 moreWe discovered that our LG refrigerator broke down the evening of Wed., Dec. 21. At 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, I called Turner Appliance to schedule a repair. They scheduled a technician for 1 to 3 pm that same day. The technician arrived shortly after 1 pm, identified the problem and estimated that the total cost to fix it would be $255. Since Turner Appliance (TA) did not have the part on hand, the technician left our house Thursday afternoon promising to call "first thing tomorrow morning" about part availability and to schedule the follow up service visit. Friday, Dec. 23, morning, we did not receive a call by 10 a.m., so we called Turner Appliance to follow up. TA said "We'll get right back to you." No call from TA by 12 noon. We called again and were told that the same technician had taken a personal day and that they would "call right back." (Staff was not very empathetic to our situation.) At noon, following this TA call, we called A Affordable Appliance, which specializes in LG products. Within an hour, a technician came to our house, fixed the problem and charged us $155. By 2 p.m., we still had not heard back from TA.THANK YOU AFFORDABLE APPLIANCE AND CHOOSE YOUR TIME APPLIANCE REPAIR for being so responsive and saving our holiday weekend!!

+ -1 more6 1/2 year old wash machine STILL is not working 2 1/2 months after the first phone call!
Description of Work: My daughter's 6 1/2 year old front loader washer wouldn't turn on. I was there on the first visit. Jeff took the top off , did some testing and said there was power going into the machine but nothing coming out of the circuitry board. Very quickly he said the board had to be replaced. He called right away to see if the part was in stock - which it was. So the next day he came back and replaced the board, and the washer worked for 1 or 2 times. Within a couple days of submitting my initial report, the machine died again. Jeff went to my daughter's house and replaced the same part, but the machine died again within days of replacing. When called back, Jeff AGAIN replaced the same part and it died yet one more time. So back again and the diagnosis is now another part - so it is ordered. The office called my daughter to schedule an apt since the office said the part is in, BUT Jeff isn't showing. When my daughter called the office to find out where Jeff is, the office says 'you aren't on the schedule." Also, the part was NOT in because it is on backorder and won't be in until March 7th! I personally talked to Rick (the manager) as did my daughter. When I called the office, I was told that Rick would call me within an hour. After 2 hours, I gave up and called back. Jeff is supposed to call before he comes - my daughter says she has never received a phone call, and she told Rick that. The office says the part is in but it's not - it's on backorder. My daughter made sure she was home for the last "repair", but the office told her she wan't on the schedule.

+ -1 moreI called on December 9 and was surprised to get a next day (Saturday) appointment time. The technician was on time and quickly determined the problem with my dryer and replaced a blown fuse. My clothes washer had problems with the spin cycle but while the technician was working the spin cycle seemed fine. He said that the problem could be a number of issues and that the next time the spin cycle did not work I should leave everything in the washer and call Turner and they would send someone out with no travel charge if it was in the next 30 days.
Description of Work: The technician replaced a blown fuse on my dryer. The technician also inspected my clothes washer because the spin cycle doesn't consistently work.

+ -1 moreFreezer door had been left open causing vent to frost over which caused refrigerator to not be cold. To correct had to leave both doors open for 3 hours and then close. Frankly I doubted this might work and Service Tech said would come back out and not charge service call fee again if it did not work. It did work!
Description of Work: Refrigerator had stopped cooling and there was frost in freezer. Service Tech explained issue and told us what to do to correct and how to prevent.

Our refrigerator stopped working in the morning,Turner was very responsive and had a service man out within a couple hours of calling. The issue was the with the fan which needed cleaning off. Initially he thought it might be the motherboard but he unplugged the machine and waited to confirm, and it turned out it was only the fan. Total repair was $125 which included a $10 coupon. The service man was very honest and gave us some honest feedback on our brand and made recommendations for our next purchase down the road. A+ rating and would highly recommend them.

Someone from the office called back and that he didn’t get the right serial numbers and asked if I could get them for them and I said that I absolutely would not. They said it would cost $900 and they need to double check. The owner then called back and said they do a lot of work in the tougher part of town and they need to be very carefully about what they do. I was extremely insulted by the situation. We never placed the order and we decided not to use them. I had used them before in Carmel and received great service. They did come back and tried to fix everything but I was not willing to work with them after receiving such poor service at first.

+ -1 moreIf I could hand out stars these folks would get a boat load! They were excellent from A to Z. David arrived on time and had my fridge up and running in less than 30 minutes. I will not hesitate to use this company again.
Description of Work: When I went into the freezer compartment of my fridge yesterday I found everything had thawed out and it was making a click/buzz noise. Called Turner and they scheduled me for today (at no extra charge for a weekend mind you). Their tech arrived just as promised and diagnosed the problem quickly. Was concerned I had a bad compressor but it turned out to be the relay a whole lot cheaper than a compressor or having to buy a new appliance. The part is guaranteed for 3 years. Fridge is now purring away.

Description of Work: My 19-year-old washing machine stopped working right after filling up with water. It would not agitate or spin. I called Turner Appliance in the morning on my way to work and they had a repairman at my house at 4 p.m. He was friendly and very knowledgeable and had the problem fixed in less than a half hour. (It was a lid switch that had stopped working)

+ 0 moreThey were very good. They came initially last Thursday and then they came back on Monday to put in a new dishwasher. We hoped to repair our old dishwasher and they found that it was going to cost almost as much to repair as a new one. They said that they sold new ones as well, so we checked on the internet and placed an order with them. It met all the expectations based upon other recommendations on Angie’s List. They offered quick service and they seemed to know their job really well. A young man came in, spent about forty minutes and identified the problem. He told us how much it would cost to repair it and then we decided based upon that we could get a new one for almost the same price. They met their time schedule and so forth and everything worked fine. We would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.
Description of Work: Turner Appliance Repair Inc came to repair our dishwasher. They said it would cost almost as much to repair as a new dishwasher, so we bought a new dishwasher from them.

+ -1 moreThe first repair was done 0n October 12. The technician installed a fuse. That repair did not solve the problem so another technician came to inspect the problem. He had to order a part and gave an approximate time it would be available. It came in much earlier than anticipated and they called immediately to set up another appointment to complete the repair. The technician did not charge for the second or third visit and gave me a credit for the part that was installed on the first visit.

+ 0 moreTurner was first called to repair my 15 year old dryer under a home warranty contract. The were professional and kind. After the contract was up, the dryer again had a problem not heating. Because the part had been underwarranty they fixed it without cost. When the dryer had a problem the third time, together we determined it was time for this dryer to hit the dust. They helped me find a replacement dryer which was no easy task due to the limited physical space. They were a major help in pulling it all together and worked hard to make certain I was satisfied.
Description of Work: Called three times to fix old dryer. Did all they could to keep it going. Then help me find a replacement.
