Turner Appliance

I woke up early on Wednesday morning and went to the kitchen to make coffee. I heard a clicking and buzzing noise coming from the refrigerator. I had a problem similar to this several years ago on a different refrigerator so was pretty sure I knew what the problem could be. I am new to the area, so I went to Angie's list to see who I could call for repair. After checking out several reviews, I decided to call Turner Appliance. The young lady that I spoke to was very cordial and helpful. I noticed that they have a senior citizen discount so I asked her about that. She informed me that the Angie's List discount was better so I was appreciative of that. I knew that the day after a holiday, they would probably be swamped with calls. I was surprised when she said she could get someone out between 3:00 and 5:00. She said that "Chris" would give me a call when he was on his way. Chris did indeed call around 4:30 and explained that he was running a bit behind, it would be closer to 5:30 when he could get to my house. That was fine with me. He did arrive at 5:30. He was very nice, polite (apologizing again for running behind) and neat in appearance. He checked out the problem, gave me a full pricing right up front before beginning any work. He had the part on his truck and he installed it quickly. From start to finish, was less than 1/2 hour. He was very friendly, cordial, fast and efficient. I will have no problem calling Turner Appliance again if/when I have problems with any more appliances. I will definitely request that Chris be the person they send, if he is available.

Pleased with the technician's work, professionalism, and information that he provided on the needed repairs. One of those situations where could have purchased a new dryer for the price that I paid for the service. However, technician did a complete overhaul and replaced a part that was ready to give out. Said that the dryer should last another 15 years. Let's hope that he is right. :-) Would use the service again, but would evaluate the return on the investment when it comes to dryer repairs.

Our dishwasher had stopped working due to no water coming into the machine. The technician came out and right away discovered we needed a cleaner to combat our hard water. He cleaned up the switch to allow the water in and it started right up. Then he recommended a good cleaner to use until our water softener was installed. Overall very nice and professional.

When I called Turner Appliance they were very accomodating of when they could come out to take a look at our refrigerator according to my schedule. Dwight was very knowledgeable and understanding of what was in my best interest of whether it was better to repair the refrigerator or to replace it.

Our washing machine had a small leak and we were hoping it was not major. The service tech called to announce he would arrive in 30 minutes (which was within the 2 hour window we were originally quoted). He was prompt, explained the issue & resolved the problem. I would highly recommend this company.

Overall, it was quick, cheap, and professionally done. Easy scheduling, came on time, finished in a timely manner. Good rate.

Overall, it was a good experience. I had used Turner Appliance Repair just a couple of weeks prior to repair the washing machine. The washer and dryer are both about 15 years old. They both have been working just fine since they were repaired.

They were great! I called in the morning and they were at my house a little after lunch. Very punctual, friendly and professional. Will definitely use them again!

We had trouble with our stove's electronic sparker that lights the burners. We were afraid we would have to buy a new stove; Turner said no, all we needed was to replace the lighter. Repair guy said it was a great stove.

I was going to do this repair myself, but the old valve was leaking and there was no way to shut off the water to the valve except to shut off the whole house supply. I needed to get to work and couldn't leave the valve leaking all day. I had ordered the needed part online ($14 plus $5 shipping) in anticipation of doing the repair. I subsequently cancelled that order when I realized that I couldn't get the leak to stop so I could wait on the part. They showed up within about an hour of me calling. Great service on that front. When the bill came, the charge for the part was $140. This is ridiculous. The labor cost and trip fee seemed fine, but a ~10 fold markup on the part cost is not.

The technician was professional and quick. He apparently fixed the problem because we haven't had trouble since. I was very pleased that I was able to get a next-day, morning appointment when I called late in the afternoon to schedule it. I had previously tried calling Sears and would have had to wait a week -- not acceptable for a necessary cooking appliance, and a gas problem to boot! Other pluses: The company is local, the dispatcher told me up front who my technician would be, and the technician made just enough small talk to be personable but not enough to slow him down. Would definitely use this company again.

They were very courteous & efficient. I thought there was something wrong but they told me it was working just fine & did not need repair. I would probably use them again.

The work was done well and at fair cost.

We walked into the showroom and were immediately helped by one of the owners. He understood exactly what we were looking for and he had 2 in stock. He was very well informed and very honest. We were able to purchase an older washer in good condition for a lot less than we could have repaired our 5 year old washer. The brand we chose (an older Maytag) has a lot more potential for a long service life than our 5 year old GE. They made an appointment to deliver the washer and came when they said they would. They also took away our old washer, installed the new washer, explained features, and offered us a 60 day guarantee. So far we're very happy with our washer.

we needed to replace the stove in a rental unit. we stopped in there, found a good deal in 2 minutes, got just what we wanted with no crap. they came the next day to install and took away the old one. they were all very professional. no hassles. great deal!

Our dryer was making a lot of noise when running. Based on past positive experiences with Turner we called them to come address the problem. They tried greasing the pulley first. When it did not solve the problem they then went with the more expensive solution.

Since we have "high end" appliances and Turner was the recommended servicer under the warranties we felt compelled to call them when the appliance was out of warranty. In the future we will most likely shop around for service. I was really disappointed as we had used Turner in the past.

From the phone call I made to them to the end was professional and they explained everything. The man who came to the home was very good in explaining details of what was going on with the unit and explained the fees upfront. Very good experience.

The technician called me when he was about 10 minutes away. He didn't have a replacement knob with him but called and found that they had one in stock. He left, returned with the knob and installed it. The installation took about 5 minutes. Since it was such an easy service call, he gave me a discount on the service time as well as my Angie's List discount. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

Dwight called before arrival and arrived within scheduled time. He pulled the dryer out and inspected it. Said two wires had bad connections. Replaced them. Said teh heating element was cracked but that it would self-repair so did not fix this. Cleaned out the vent at the front of the dryer and a little bit around it. Suggested getting dryer vent cleaned. Departed. Q: how can a dryer heating element fix itself when it's metal and ceramic? 45d later, dryer stopped working again. Cracked heating element needed replaced. If trying to save consumer money, that's one thing but if it's inevitable that it will need repair, state that and let consumer make the choice of one & done or fix and wait.

From the moment we called to when the job was completed everyone was helpful and efficient. Josh, our repairman, was very professional and courteous. Our overall experience was exceptional and we will definitely call them again for any future problems.

No complaints about the service. Technician called to discuss pricing before making the repair. The final cost was about $15 more than the estimate provided by the scheduler, but no complaints.

Brent came out and did the work very timely and he discovered the front base of the stove had been dented, who knows when, and it would no longer accept the feet. The threads were out of alignment. So he went ahead and leveled the fridge. I found some wood that was left over, and he used it to level the stove while he was here. They discounted the cost of the feet and no charge for the extra work he did. I am so impressed and happy with the results.

Service was excellent. I called on Friday & they sent the serviceman on Sat. @ no extra cost. The work was completed within 45 min. I thought the price was reasonable, & there is a 3yr. warranty on the new part. I have used this company before & found the service & price to be excellent. With the previous repair they sent someone the same day I called.

LG washer broke on Saturday morning. Called Turner and they were able to have a service technician come out 3 hours later. Technician arrived in the window of time that had been communicated. Technician knew exactly what the problem was, quoted the job within minutes, made the repair in about 20 minutes and quickly finished the paperwork. Very professional and knowledgeable.
