After reviewing Angie's list for appliance repair, based on overall ratings I contacted Turner Appliance Repair. I contacted them around 10 AM and they scheduled an appointment between 3 and 5 PM. Within a few minutes one of their service man (Josh) called me and said he was in the area and asked if it were possible to come now. I responded yes and he arrived a few minutes later. He determined the problem and replaced the part and everything worked fine. Josh, was very personable and professional. I would use again and recommend to others. the time of my call to work completed was around 2 hours = "Amazing"

They scheduled my service call the next day and the service technician (Josh) arrived promptly. I described to him what had happened and he asked numerous questions to fully understand the situation. Josh quickly identified the problem communicated with the office to determine the price for the replacement part. He said it would take two days to order the part and the office would call to schedule an appointment to install it. About an hour after he left, the office called to schedule the appointment for the next day. Again Josh arrived promptly at the designated time and quickly installed the part and ran the washer through several cycles to ensure it was working properly. I was very impressed with promptness of the repair and the professionalism of the service tech. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He was very careful during his work and was dressed in a clean uniform. An added bonus is that the new part is warranted for 3 years so if it goes bad again, it's covered. I will definitely be using Turner Appliance repair for all my future needs.

We have an older dryer that we are trying to keep alive for as long as possible. When it started squealing at us and seeming to overheat without drying the clothes, we feared the worst. However, Turner's came to our rescue again. The technician assessed the problem and immediately diagnosed it correctly. He had the necessary repair supplies with him, so the repair happened at that visit. He also cleaned out the vent for us, since the winter snow had blocked the egress and the lint had built up to a solid soggy mass. Now the dryer is like new... dries better than ever and without noise! We have always been happy with the service we have received from Turner Appliance Repair.

They were able to assess the situation and repair everything during the visit. No parts to order and wait on; no follow up visits needed. The only inconvenience was that we had to wait a day for service because they were completely full on the day we called. But, that can also speak their demand and reputation for quality service.

Appointment time was set up, and at time of appointment, received a call from the tech that he was running 30 minutes late. 45-60 minutes later, young man showed up, driving older model car with no identifying marks or company name on the vehicle. He was very polite, but did not have any kind of uniform or identifying badge or name tag on. He had a hard timer getting the front of the washer off, and when he finally did, he said it was a bad agitator belt of which he did not have one with him. He offered to go get one and come back later, or told me I could go get one and showed me how to do it myself. He trimmed the belt a little and said it might work for one small load, but that I should get as new belt as soon as possible. He was a very polite young man, but not sure he had very much experience, or at least with this brand of washing machine.

Hey Angie, this one really suprised me seeing that all our van's are loudly marked and our tech's are all in fully marked uniform's. I looked in our system and there was nothing with his address as far as him being set up with a service call with us. I did a reverse lookup on his address to get his phone number and we looked that up to, again nothing on any call's from him. I left two messages for him and he called me back that evening. I was very eager to find out if someone possibly was using our name. It turns out he thought he called us but did not. I asked him what the receipt looked like, he said it was a small yellow one, ours is a large pink one. I asked him who he made the check out to, he said the tech had him make it out to him personally. He told me his name and it was no one that worked for us and someone that I had never heard of. This has happened before where a customer thought they called us but didn't. I knew that it was not us, seeing that this is absolutely no way we would operate our service company, thanks Rick.

He worked me into his schedule so I wouldn't have to wait a long time for my repair. He called a couple times to heep me informed that he was running behind schedule and gave me options of potential times he could arrive. All seems to have gone well until I went to the GE site to see how much the part costs. It was $46. They charged me $102 for the part and tthen 130 for labor with a $10 discount. The worse part is they initially gave me a time to do the work and they never showed up. They came later that day. I am disappointed. I wont use them again.

Hi Angie, i looked into this call by listening to a couple recording's and one of the girls in the office did drop the ball. The call was not dispatched properly and our tech never got it. The customer called in when no one showed up however we did we manage to get a tech out that same day. Our part's are marked up just like any other company mark's their's up. He said there was $130 for labor. That is not true, it is broken down into four categories which is clearly marked on his receipt as "PARTS", "TAX", "LABOR" and "SERVICE CHARGE". The labor is $80 not $130. I did make a call to him and we went over everything and talked for awhile. I apologized for the mistake we made with his appointment. He was happy that I took the time to read his Angies List review and to make a call to him. I also told him I would refund his $50 service charge since we didn't show up when we first promised. I had a full washing machine that stopped working. I called Turner Appliance on a Thursday evening (assume it was after hours), and left a message with my problem and my phone number. No one ever called back. It ended up the machine had to be replaced (Sears helped me determine this).

Hi Angie, very upset about us not getting back with her. Without customer's we go out of business. I am not sure what happened there but i can assure you for some reason we did not get her message. We are sticklers about taking care of all customer's that call in, wether we speak to them in person or they leave a message. We do periodically have issues with our phones not working because of storms and such, but we always check our overnight messages every morning. Like i said without our customer's we would have no business, i think our Super Service award's year after year speak for themselves. I will make a call to apologize to her for any inconveniences.

I called and the scheduler told me there was an opening that very day, only 1-2 hours later! The service tech called 15 minutes before arriving. He came on time, evaluated the situation and fixed the problem leaving assurance if the problem returned to contact him again. In addition, he provided an estimate so that should the part need replaced we already had an estimate. It was great that there was a $5 coupon too that could be used via Angie's List.

Technician was on time, friendly and competent. Replaced the rubber seal on my front loading washer which got moldy, black over time. It cost a bit more than I hoped I'd have to pay but this is the going rate for this service. Turner was no higher or lower than other places I talked to. Everything went fine, they were very courteous, on time, and thankfully, repairs weren't too heinous to deal with, really felt they went the extra mile to help keep the cost of the repair down for me.

Our daughter (Follman's) had used Turner Appliance and highly recommended them. We called them about getting service for our washer. The receptionist asked obout the washer problem, told us the costs involved in the service charge and parts, if needed. She told us when to expect the serviceman; he would call shortly before his arrival, and his name, Larry. We could not have been more pleased. Larry was friendly, professional and explained two potential fixes for our washer problem - one more costly than the other. We appreciated his integrity in explaining the fixes and potential costs. We just happened to ask if Turner Appliance is on Angie's List since we did not get the recommendation from the List. We were glad to receive the discount as a pleasant surprise. We will certainly use Turner Appliance with any future problems.

We have used them in the past and I was pleased with them so I purchased the deal. There were no troubles with scheduling and they were prompt. The deal was fine. However, I ended up losing my money because the appliance was unable to be repaired. I think that the price is too high and should only be for a service call. The trip fee only costs $50. I am out the $29 unless I need another appliance serviced within the next year. I would not buy this Big Deal again unless it was $25 for a $50 trip fee credit.

I spoke with the customer to let her know she was mistaken about the way the deal works. She paid $79 for $160 worth of work and she thought she was out her $29 because she only paid $50 and didn't want to repair her washer. I let her know she still has a credit with us for $110 which she can use with us anytime in the next calender year. This deal was constructed by Angies List and we okayed it. We haven't had any problem's with this deal yet and for the most part it has gone real well.

My fridge stopped cooling on a Friday night. The freezer was still working, so i moved my food and filed a claim with my home warranty company. The dispatched the claim to turner appliances. Saturday - no call. Sunday - no call. Monday - no call. Finally on Tuesday i called my home warranty company and they called turner and got something scheduled. They are supposed to call within 24 hours of the claim. Once that scheduling debacle was over, Dan came out to do the work. He was great. Fast, and did a good job making sure to check every part. He had to order a part and 2 days later came back out to install it. Now everything works like it should. If they could get their office to schedule properly, their work is great, but I will not use them again because they can not make up for the lack of follow through of the office staff.

We don't do a lot of call's for his home warranty company so I had to dig into this a little to see exactly what happened. I did find that the call was dispatched by fax to us on the next day, Saturday. We don't do warranty call's on the weekends, but the customer still should have been called and scheduled for Monday. One of our girl's accidentally filed his claim in the "already scheduled" bin. We definately dropped the ball on this one. We did call the customer and apologized for the mishap. We here at Turner Appliance strive for perfection, which is an impossible thing to do, and we do make mistakes, lots of them, but as you can see through our rating's and Super Service award's were not doing to bad.

Turner evaluated situation and unfortunately the compressor was shot. To repair it would have cost 850.00 for a new compressor. After little debate, we decided to purchase a new refrigerator. They were fast, courteous, professional and knowledgeable.

Not a fan of Turner Appliance! Called to have them take a look at my fridge. The icemaker quit working and water was leaking from underneath. The cost of service was less than another service I called. Jeff came out and put in a new icemaker and cleaned out a minor clog causing the leak. Not a particularly friendly guy, but not a problem. The charge for the service call was more than I expected since I was not told there would be both a flat trip charge and an additional service time charge. Icemaker quit within two days. Jeff came back out, replaced the new icemaker at no charge. That was in March. Fast forward 8 1/2 months. The fridge had been rattling like crazy and we realized it was when the icemaker (#2) was filling. Then it quit. Again. Called Turner back since the receipt says parts are guaranteed for 3 years. I asked specifically what the service cost would be and was told there would be a $50 service charge. I asked specifically again if there would be any additional charge to the $50 service charge and was assured that since the part was under warranty, there would be ONLY a $50 service charge. Danny came out on Saturday, December 7 and replaced the icemaker. AGAIN. (Icemaker #3). Imagine my surprise when I was presented with a bill for $90! I explained that I was assured that the charge would be $50. Danny said he had to charge both a service trip charge of $50 and a service time charge of $40. I objected. He said he had no choice, that was the policy. Against my better judgement and my husband's advice, I paid the $90. Monday morning I called Turner Appliance. I was told that, of course, they had to charge both a trip and a service time charge and I should have expected that even if they didn't tell me. How stupid of me! Asked to talk to the manager. After a good bit of run around, I finally did speak with Rick. Went over the whole story with him. He said I should have been charged more than $40 for the service, it was actually an $80 repair! He said he had talked to technician, Danny who had confirmed that prior to installation of icemaker #3, he had not told me that there would be an additional charge. Rick also said that he had new personnel dispatching calls and she might not have given me the correct information. He said he would have to check the recording of my call to see if I was telling the truth. I agreed that would be an excellent idea since it would prove my case. I left my phone number for a call back which never came. I should have paid only the $50 I was quoted. Now I'm out $40 and I have to listen to my husband's "Told you so". I will never, ever call Turner Appliances again. I do not recommend them.

Our girl's all have the same response to customer's when they call in. They give them the price of the service call and let them know that any parts, tax and labor if needed is on top of that. We did install an ice maker in March and it did fail a couple days later. We give a 3 year warranty on all parts we install on residential appliances. Our warranty is second to none, here's why. As of a few years ago manufacturer's gave a 1 year warranty on most parts, now they all went to 90 days. We have always given a 3 year warr. for a couple reasons, 1) we gave our customer's more piece of mind and 2) we hoped to drum up some more business with our better than average warr. When everyone went to 90 days we kept ours at 3 years. We went ahead and put another ice maker in at no charge to her. Another 81/2 months went by and again she has a problem. She was told there would be a $50 service charge and any parts tax and labor would be on top of that only her ice maker would still fall under the 3 year warr. She should have been charged the service call and $80 labor for that job. It clearly states in our warr. that only the part(s) are covered 3 years. She never asked specifically about any other charges nor was she assured it would only be $50. We did find the ice maker faulty again and replaced it for the $50 service charge and Danny only charged her half of the labor rate, $40. She did call the office and we spoke about this. I let her know all phone calls in or out are recorded and if the girl she spoke with did tell her that there will not be any other charges besides the $50 I would refund the extra $40. I also explained that we don't make these replacement ice maker's, we buy them from the manufacturer's and put them in, we can't help it if they go bad. If she had called any other company here in town she would had to probably pay full rate again because she would only have been given a 90 day warr. I must have misplaced my notes because I did forget to listen to the recording's and call her back. I then got this complaint and went back and listened. One of our girl's Sarah did exactly what she was supposed to do. Sarah was never asked if there would be any extra charges, in fact on two occassions the customer said "so $50 will be the minumum". I called her back and am going to e-mail her the recorded conversation. We had a nice talk and I told her I was going to refund her the $40 back, not because the girl's did anything wrong, but because I did by not get back with her when I said I would. We have everything worked out and I hope if she needs anything she will still call us back. Rick.
