Turner Appliance

They came out as promised. I had the same repair man for everything and was given a cell number for him. He came out and we needed a part. We had to wait for it to come in. He came back and replaced it. He left and the washer still wasn't working. I called and he asked a few questions and then came back by to check on it again. What made the experience even better is that he admitted he made a mistake. He fixed it all up and we were good to go. Prices in line with other providers.

I called about 11am. They said they would be out from 2 to 4. He was here 12:30 and gone by 1. He had it fixed in about 15 minutes. Jeff was very professional and personable. I didn't give it an "A" on price because I didn't have anything to compare it too. But we were ok with it. I would definitely use them again.

Chris called to say he had an earlier opening than scheduled which was very much appreciate. He figured out the problem right away and reset the board. Things started working again. We left is at "let's wait and see". He is ordering a new board but if the reset works, we will leave it at that. Cost right now is $70. If the board needs replacing, it will be $347. Beats a new refrigerator! Very satisfied!

When my washer stopped working I called Turner Appliance and was told someone would come within the next two hours. Ten minutes later technician Chris called and said he was on his way. I had a faulty lid switch and he worked ten minutes trying to repair it. When that didn't work he got a part off the truck, replaced the switch and the washer worked. He was very prompt and courteous.

Dwight was very professional. He diagnosed and corrected the problems quickly and at a reasonable price. We would definitely go through Turner Appliance again, and would request Dwight. We were very happy with the service.

Our Jenn Air wall oven started malfunctioning on Sunday the 24th. The broiler element would not shut off. I researched the issue on the internet and was able to find similar issues and all of the possible scenarios / fixes from least expensive to most expensive. On Monday morning I did a quick search on Angie's List and noticed the large amount of positive reviews for Turner so I thought I would give them a call. They were very responsive on the phone and could have a repair technician out that afternoon. She told me his name was Thomas and that he would be there between 1 pm & 3 pm and that he would call me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. She explained all of the standard service charges and what I should expect. Very well done. Thomas called me at approximately 12:30 and said he would be there in 30 minutes. He showed up at 1pm. Very professional and friendly. He went right to work after I explained the problem. Without even discussing it he followed the various scenarios I mentioned above starting with the least expensive, checking them off as he went along. He determined it was the control board for the oven. He immediately called their parts distributor, asked for price and availability, discussed it with me and then secured the part. He said that he would have the part within 24 hours and that the office would call and re-schedule him to install the board and finish the repair. They called within an hour and scheduled Thomas to come back the next day between 2 - 4 pm. Thomas called ahead of schedule and was able to be there by 1:30 pm which was fine with me. He went right to work, installed the board and then verified that everything was functioning correctly. I paid him via a credit card as they use electronic swipe connected to his mobile device which is very nice. Honestly this could not have worked out better in my opinion and I would certainly use them again as well as recommend them to others.

After last using the over cleaner in my Jenn-Air down draft unit, it looked like an explosion inside and the oven would no longer heat above warm. Given that it was 28 years old, I began shopping for a new slide in unit. I discovered there numerous "difficulties' that meant I'd likely need to redo cabinets that I love and also change the counter. My husband looked through Angie's List and called Turner Appliance to see if a repair was possible. They sent Dwight. He quickly determined the problems, explained everything clearly, answered all questions very nicely, and seemed very knowledgeable in all facets of the problem. He also spent time with me offering helpful information if he couldn't get parts or if the wiring was damaged. The very next day, he was back with the parts and another employee to help. They quickly took care of the problems, and let me know that the wiring was in good shape. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. I've already told several friends how very pleased I am with the service. Excellent!!

Dwight carefully evaluated and identified the issue. Very skilled, personable and experienced and helped me understand what the issue was. Was def hire Dwight again.

There was much trial and error when fixing the issue since it was an unusual situation. He tried replacing the drain pump and noticed that it wasn't fixing the problem. He was honest and told me that the old drain pump wasn't faulty and he wouldn't replace it. I appreciated him not trying to sell extra unnecessary parts. He then thought it might be the sump pump and came out to replace it on the next day. Again, he noticed that it wasn't the problem and left to try another part. Finally the diverter valve was found to be the issue since a piece of glass had torn up the inside and left it unable to drain. The quote I was initially given was kept even though there were multiple visits and a lot more time spent than initially planned. Chris was very friendly, polite, and positive despite having to keep trying different solutions. Hopefully I won't have a need for another appliance repair, but I would certainly call Turner again if something comes up.

Arrive on time in a scheduled 2 hour window, very knowledgeable about the unit, extremely helpful, made a minor modification. Very pleased with the service.

They were dependable, courteous, and very polite. I'm happy my refrigerator now works! I have had several other companies come out who were unable to resolve the issue. I appreciate the time they put in to figure out what needed to be done to make it operational.

Thank you Turner Appliance for saving the day! I had the hardest time finding someone to install pedestals under my washer and dryer since the pedestals were purchased separate from the washer and dryer. The install technicians were on time, efficient and friendly. I recommend Turner Appliance and would use them again in the future.

We really did not want to have to buy a new washer. I saw the good reviews for Turner and called them, and they also had a $10 coupon that I was happy to find. They came out and diagnosed, got the part, and returned two days later to install it.They could have come back much sooner, but I asked them to delay a day to suit my schedule. Both repairmen were punctual, polite, and efficient. I am very happy to have the repair done so easily. It was the "tub to pump" hose, but he showed me the leak, and it is more than a hose, it's a large corrugated rubber thing. I'm not sure we could have made this repair ourselves, and it is nice to have the washer all fixed and running again. Also, the person who answers the phone was very easy to deal with and schedule with. Both servicemen phoned when they were about 15 minutes away, to tell us they would be there soon, and I appreciated that.

Great. Came same day as call. about an hour after, they were all ready down the street at a neighbors! They love them also. He also gave advise on another appliance we were researching so we knew maintenance and installation. Gave low cost option to repair.

I have several old -now considered vintage--appliances. Turner is the only place that I trust to repair them in part because they understand why they are worth repairing rather than replacing. My oven died and they took pains to order obscure parts, fiddle around with it for several weeks until they finally got it to work. Not many people would take the time to do this --mist would quickly suggest replacing the old thing. They did a great job; I am very happy to recommend them.

They suggested that I would be better to buy a new one than pay a bench fee to diagnosis the issue, only to not be able to get a circuit board for it. Or if you could get one, it may only last a brief time.

We had a new down draft installed and the new venting didn't line up properly with the old venting. I called many appliance companies on Angie's list and Turner Appliance was the only one who said they could help us. Our technician, Justin was excellent from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable in finding a solution and creatively made new venting by using hvac materials and sheet metal to allow the fumes to properly exit. I would highly recommend Turner Appliance and intend on using them for any future needs we may have.

Our dryer just stopped working so I checked Angieslist and found Turner Appliance. They were very responsive to my call and had someone out the same day that I called. The customer service was amazing and the repairman was quick and very helpful in showing me what was the problem. He also was very good at servicing my dryer and cleaning it out. The only complain I have is that you have to pay a service fee for them to just come out of $70 and the labor fee of $80. Had I known that I was going to have to pay both I would have shopped around more. I am not sure if this is standard practice but that seems very excessive to me.

Couldn?t fix the problem, and left the appliance in worse shape than when he started My 7-year old dryer was making a noise I couldn?t identify. I thought maybe the motor was going bad. I called Turner and the friendly telephone rep scheduled a visit within 2 days. This was the first service call in the dryer?s history; it had not been taken apart or moved since the initial install. The technician removed the panel screws with a power screwdriver (which rounded out many of the screws, as he was not careful), and did some banging with the heel of his hand to loosen up the panels. After removing the panels and running the dryer, he suspected it was the motor, and said he could have a new one available in a couple of days. I told him that was fine, and he re-assembled the dryer. After he left, I observed new rattles and vibrations, and the front panels no longer aligned properly. I am attributing this to his rough disassembly and re-assembly. I removed and replaced the panels again myself to quiet the dryer down some. When he returned a few days later with the motor, I mentioned that there are some new vibrations that I would like him to address, as they began occurring after his first service visit, and he said he would fix it. After disassembling the dryer, removing the motor, and spending some time on the phone, he called me in and told me ?it?s the right motor, but it?s the wrong motor?. He said it was the right motor from his supplier, and it looked very similar, but the way the motor connected was different, so it wouldn?t fit. The technician said that the man he was talking to on the phone has been doing appliances his whole life, and couldn?t explain this situation. I asked if it?s ever happened to him before, and he said never, he couldn?t understand it either. The technician didn?t know what to suggest, other than to purchase a new dryer, or call the manufacturer. I was charged for one service visit, and he honored my Angie?s List coupon discount. I had forgotten to check whether the new vibrations were fixed before he left. A couple of days later, I was running the dryer and I heard a new rattling noise. I traced it to the bottom of the front panel, and notice that two screws that hold the panel to the dryer were loose. The technician had loosed them to get the panel off, but forgot to tighten them. I tightened them myself, but it was difficult as the screws were rounded out due to the tech?s careless use of the power screwdriver. The end result is a dryer with the original noise, plus a new rattle or two. We called the manufacturer and they said that there were two motors for that model. They provided me with the part numbers for old and new motor. The conversation took less than 5 minutes. I am disappointed in Turner for two reasons: first, they did not treat my appliance with great care or respect, which resulted in new vibrations and future difficulty in servicing; second, given how easy it was for me to find out that there were two motors for the model of my dryer with a single phone call to the manufacturer, and a simple Google search for the updated motor model number yielded many sources to purchase the correct motor, I?m disappointed that Turner couldn?t figure this one out. I would call Turner back to explain my findings and have them replace my motor, but I don?t want them causing any more damage to my appliance. I?ll be using another service.

I called on Wednesday for help, and was able to schedule a service call for Thursday afternoon. The tech arrived early and quickly figured it out. There was no charge above the minimum call fee.

I had discovered my refrigerator had quit working. After some quick troubleshooting I figured I had better call someone out to get a diagnosis on this. I called Turner Appliance at 8:30 am because they had Saturday hours. I spoke with Connie and she was able to get me scheduled between 1pm-3pm in the afternoon on the same day. Shortly after 3pm, the technician called to let me know he was on his way which this was appreciated. He determined that the defrost timer was bad and had the part needed on his truck and was able to get my refrigerator up and running in about 30 minutes. They also gave me a 10% discount for mentioning Angie's List.

I called in the morning and got an appt that afternoon. Chris showed up on time and was polite and professional. He had to order part. When he returned a few days later to install the gasket, it was black, not white as he had ordered. So he returned the part and came back a few days later. Again the part was black, not white. I told him to go ahead and install it. I think they could have shopped around and found a white gasket, which would have looked better. They only used their standard parts supplier. How many people have black refrigerators these days? But it was my choice & I went with black to get the job done.

Went perfect from beginning to end. Rick provided great follow up and the men that delivered the appliances were sharp and polite.
