Our original dish washer install took us complaining and 3 times coming out for them to actually mount it properly. They have since had to come out to spend 10 min (no parts) and charged us the trip fee $70 and $80 for labor. 10 MINUTES!!!! I get it, I have owned a service company before. The trip fee is there because you would go out of business rolling a tech over and over and never having labor to charge anyone. However, when the customer has the work done there should be a concession on the trip fee. Or at the very least consideration of a pro rated hourly fee. Especially when the tech comes out for literally 10 minutes and charges us a full $80 labor hour in addition to the $70 trip fee. Unprofessional and unnecessary. We will not being using them again.

Kind of an odd complaint. We installed his dishwasher on September 7th. 2015. We got a call 4 days later on Sept. 11th. that the upper rack was not staying in the closed position with the door open. The dishwasher needed to be re-leveled, we went back out and corrected the problem at no charge. We then got a call a week or so ago, March 20th. with a problem of noise while it was running. Yes there is a service call of $70 which he was told and also any parts, tax and labor if needed would be on top of the service charge which he was also told. He said that he "gets it" because he too had a service company. Well with all due respect he doesn't get it. The overhead in this business is through the roof. The cost just to send a tech to the house far exceeds the $70 service call. The labor rate is subject to the job, not the time we are in a home. Yes companies used to charge labor by the 1/4 hr. but charging that way is just not fair to the customer, I'll tell you why: I have tech's that have been at it for 30 years and I have tech's that are fresh out of schooling. The 30 year tech lets say can finish a job in a 1/2 hr. where the newby would probably take an additional hour. So why should "you, the customer" pay extra because one tech is quicker than the other? You said unprofessional and unnecessary, if I were to run this company the way you suggest we would be out of business long ago. We are no different than any other company in this great country of ours, we are in business to stay in business and hopefully turn a profit, which has been very hard in the last 8 years, but things are looking up. The job we did consisted of taking the whole sump apart to get to where the broken glass and plastic were hitting the impeller, clearing out all the debris, putting it all back together and test it. This is NOT a 10 minute job! The tech also gave him $10 off the labor making it $70 instead of $80. I will send him half of that, $35 back to help him with the sting he claims he felt. I would hope he calls us back but if not he will find the same thing with any other reputable company out there, just not the great warranty we give which is 2nd. to none. You get what you pay for so beware, because they are out there!

Again, they could improve the customer service. Because, when I would call that place to ask questions, it seemed like the person I needed to speak to was never in. The gentleman that came out was ok but he didn't listen to what I said to him when he was here. And he didn't do what he said he was gonna do when he went back to the office. That goes back to customer service in my eyes.
Description of Work: They didn't do any work except come out and see what the problem was with my refrigerator. They said that the Freon was leaking and there was no way to fix that.

Went well and also came back quickly when left wires sticking out of the front washer panel. Very happy with the decision to replace the dishwasher!

At the time of service you?re shown the whole price list for parts and labor. I appreciate that because they show you the prices ahead of time and the price isn?t pulled out of thin air. I will definitely use them again.

The display on my Samsung was not working. I told them what the problem was. The technician came out and looked at it and said the display was bad, and that it was a common problem with Samsung refrigerators. At that time, they charged me their standard visit fee ($70). He ordered the part from Samsung. It was on back-order and after a month and a half, they told me they could not get the part for it and that I would need to buy a new refrigerator. (Back-order was not their fault and the person from office called me every two weeks or so, to let me know that the part was on back-order. They were good about that). I then found the display at an online store (Samsung make) and put it in myself. The new display also did not work. That made me suspect that the problem was not really with the display. I called the tech who had come out, and he told me the new display was probably bad, and that the stuff online was not reliable. I didn't completely agree with it and it made me wonder if the problem was not something else. I then google the problem, found a fix in 2 minutes, and had the original old display working in 5 minutes. Looks like this was something that happens after power outages and all you have to do is reset the display. Wish I had googled it earlier. It is still working after 4 months. I don't mind paying for a technician to come out if he knows how to fix the problem, but in this case, it was not so.

Obviously a mistake on our part. We stand behind our work 100% of the time. Had we put the display board on it, it would not have fixed his problem. At that point we would have put his [Member Information Removed] one back on and re-diagnose the problem. We will refund his $70 service charge seeing we did not take care of his problem. Rick.

They were punctual. One person came out to fix the appliances. It took him maybe an hour to do it, he left the area clean. They did well on punctuality and availability. With the replacement part, it wasn't as fast, they had to come back in two or three days.

rep was very knowledgeable and professional. he changed the drum, showed us how to keep it clean going forward (it was a front load LG washer). he also cleaned the whole washer out for us. Additionally, while there, he advised on a problem that we had with a dryer vent and another with a freezer.

I have not received the part or received a call back from my inquiry 48 hours again. Thsi company was great the first time I used them not sure where the ball got dropped, but I thought others should be aware.
Description of Work: Ordered an ice maker before Christmas. I called on 1/10 regarding the status of the order and was told they would call me back. I waited 48 hours and never received a call. I called again today and was told they would have to call me back when the tech was available. I am confused as to why nobody returns calls or has any idea as to where the part is. Update: I want people to know that Rick called me and apologized for the mix up and indicated that he had ordered the part. I am glad that he took my issue serious enough to get involved and I am satisfied with his response. I will continue to use Turner Appliance and would encourage others to as well.

Fridge was a loss, and I hated to pay $70 for a 3 min house call, but at least I knew there was nothing else I could do to save the fridge. Either pay $650 for a compressor replacement or call it quits on a 10 year old fridge and look to replace.They did offer to put the $70 towards the purchase of a new fridge if we sourced it through them, and the agent took $5 off for mentioning Angie's List

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. My left side door of the French Door Refrigerator door broke on a Saturday afternoon at about 2 pm one week before Christmas. I searched Angie's list and was surprised to find that Turner Appliance was open until 4 pm on Saturday so I gave them a call. To my surprise they were able to schedule a technician to come to my home first thing Monday morning. She explained the $70 service charge and explained that they would look at up to 3 appliances for that low fee. Okay folks, Sears will charge you $99 for each appliance. They will also give you a 3 year warranty on parts and again most places give you 90 days. The technician Justin called 10 minutes prior to arriving at my home and he arrived promptly at 8 am. After trouble shooting the door he believed the entire door would need replace which would cost over $700 with labor etc. on this 5 year old appliance. We explained that we were gutting our kitchen this summer and had planned on selling the fridge to buy a counter top depth subzero, and hated to spend this much on a new door. We really had no other choice however so we ordered another door. The door was a special order so it would be a couple of weeks before they would be able to replace it. He did get our existing door to close so at least we could keep our items cold. While at our home he also looked at another refrigerator that had issues with the ice maker. He made a quick repair and said to let us know if that solved the issue, if not the ice maker would need replaced. He also looked at a loose handle on our convection microwave and was able to fix it. Sears told us over a year ago that we would need a whole new door because the handle couldn't be tightened at a cost of over $700. On Wednesday two days after the initial service call I received a voice mail stating our part was in and they would like me to call and schedule the repair. I didn't get the voicemail until about 5:30 so I thought well they are probably closed an it will be to late to call. To my surprise I called back and they were open until 7 pm during the week. They indicated that he could come to our home as early as 10 am on Thursday the following day. Justin called me a few hours prior to the scheduled appt. time and ask if I would be available earlier in the day and since I was he responded great I will be there in 10 minutes. When he arrived he said he had been doing alot of research on our door issue and wanted to try to just replace the broken flap piece without replacing the entire door. thus instead of spending over $700 we would only be spending $300. Guess what the less expensive part worked! To recap: the speed in which they handled our issue from the date of my initial call to resolving the issues was 5 days and this all happened the week of Christmas. Justin was very knowledgeable and customer focused. He not only completed the job but tried to save us as much money as possible. Turner is very lucky to have him representing their company. Would I use them again ABSOLUTELY, in fact Justin mentioned that we could order appliances from them for our new kitchen. Their wonderful service and experience will not only win me over for all future repairs, but I am planning on buying a Sub Zero refrigerator, gas stove, convection wall oven, microwave and freezer drawer from them for our kitchen remodel this summer. Essentially they delivered on their promises and won me over as a customer for life.

The repairman, Steve, called me earlier than expected which worked out fine. He came and was able to diagnose the problem really fast. I was pleased with the service.

Our washer stopped agitating and spinning. I called three appliance repair companies. Turner's service charge was the most expensive - hence, D for price. However, since we had a good experience with their dishwasher repair several years ago and they could send someone on the day of my call, we decided to use them again. A repairman arrived on time and looked at our washer. He said the main control board needs to be replaced. I didn't want to buy a $150 part (or pay Turner $250 for parts/labor) to find out that was not the problem, so I replaced it with a board from another unit. But our washer still had the exact same problem with the other board. I contacted Turner again and explained what happened. They were going to send the same guy, but I told them to send another guy. Why would we want someone who misdiagnosed initially? A new repairman looked at it and told us that the motor is bad and not the control board. I give them credit for their willingness to send another guy, and my interaction with them were generally good. But they still wasted our time and money (potentially a lot more if we had them put in a new control board) because of the wrong initial diagnosis. For that reason, we won't be using them again for future repairs.

A few comments to our customer, we run around 100 calls every day. Not sure if you have ever made a mistake in your life, I don't know you but I would bet my house that you have. Guess what, my technicians are not robots they are humans, and just like you and I they make mistakes, we all make mistakes. There is one thing however, we back up our work 100%. If we had put that board on it obviously would not have fixed the problem. At that point we would have taken the new board off, put the old one back on, re-diagnose the machine and you would not have had to pay for the wrong diagnose. So no you would not have wasted any money as you said. I do understand that your time is valuable and I do apologize for wasting it but we do try our best. A company does not get an "A" rating with the BBB, an "A" rating on Angies List and the Super Service award every year by misdiagnosing appliances every day. I do hope you would reconsider us next time you do have a problem but if not I wish you good luck, thank you, Rick.

Tech Brent came pass and ran a few test on machine. Let us know up front it could be 2 problems. Also gave us idea of how much each part maybe. Well we lucked up and it was the lesser of the two. They did a great job.

It worked out great. He fixed a repair on the oven that another repair person stated could not be fixed and he fixed it in two minutes. The repair person Gibbs was very knowledgeable and I will highly recommend them.
