We were originally attracted to TLC because of their more organic approach to fertilization along with a commitment to reducing nitrates, phosphates, and pesticides. After originally reaching out through their website, it took a bit of time before they got back to us and gave us an estimate for the year. They explained their process and plan. Since it was already late spring, the plan was only for 4 lawn treatments instead of the usual 5. We decided to move forward with the basic plan for 4 treatments (they also offer grub treatments and aeration, but we're holding off on those for now). So far, we've had two of the treatments. Both times, it has been one person and a truck and I think the work was finished in under an hour. We haven't really interacted with the people who have come out for the treatments themselves, so I can't comment much, but they've been efficient and taken care of the work. The only area where I think there may be some room for improvement might be in communicating more when treatments might be occurring. Not a big deal as you don't need to stay off the lawn long, but would be nice to know. The yard is currently looking pretty good and good grass seems to predominate. We've also recommended them to another family, who has used them and been happy with the service.

Our grass has never looked better. We will use them again next year. I like that a lot of the stuff they use is organic.

I like this company! This is the second time I have used them and I am very pleased. They call ahead of time to confirm with me the needed treatments for my yard and then come out later that day. The treatments appear to be helping my lawn. It took care of the dandelions after the first treatment. They told me ahead of time that the violet-type weeds would take longer to get rid of. I appreciated that. TLC does a great job with communicating with me and I value that!

Owner is very knowledgeable. Gave me suggestions of how to use up the last of my organic fertilizers and then presented a plan for moving forward with his services. Within just a few days Joe our designated lawn man came out and made the first treatment. Very professional and prompt. Am looking forward to the fall and the next 2 treatments. Have been looking for some time for a reputable organic lawn care service. And feel I have found the perfect one.

I've had them for about twenty years now. Their price is good. If I ever have a question, they're not always in the office but they always get back to me.

To me the mark of a good company is not only about how well they do the job, but how well they respond to problems. A few of my tomatoes were killed from over spraying and I called to complain. Joe, an owner, spoke with a calming tone and took care of it immediately. There was no argument, his main objective was to right a wrong. Their work is good, I'm keeping them in my trusted portfolio of excellent providers.

The experience has been very positive overall. We have had 1 misunderstanding that was recitified by the owner personally. We switched to their organic lawn treatment this year and have a very healthy lawn so far this year.

This will be my second year with TLC. I can honestly say that my lawn has never looked better. Last year and this year I purchased the Full Treatment Package which consists of 4 treatments/yr. Even though the per treatment cost is slightly higher than other companies I still recognized an overall yearly cost savings. Other companies recommend 6 or more treatments/yr to accomplish the same results. I am thrilled that my lawn can look this good with the use of fewer pesticides and fertilizers.

I have been using TLC Total Lawn Care since they went into business back in 1989. I have used them for lawn fertilization, weed control, lawn aeration (four times), and grub control (once). Service with TLC has always been prompt, professional, and informative. If any weeds reappeared, they would come out and spot treat the areas when called. TLC starting using an organic product called Holganix last year at my residence and at a rental property with excellent results.....both lawns love the stuff ! The product has also given the lawns better drought resistance than previous products used, and bare spots have filled in faster than before. I am discontinuing service at my residence only because I am moving to a garden home neighborhood that provides lawn care and mowing. I plan to continue service with TLC at my rental property until it is sold sometime next year. If I needed lawn care at my new residence, I would have no reservations about transferring service to that location.

This is probably my 7th year with them, they always call and make sure to leave a note when they leave telling you what they did. They also are willing to give discounts. They are reasonably priced and do a great job. They also use organic material.

Came out same day to spray and give me an estimate for the yearly treatment! Very punctual and didn't try and oversell stuff I didn't need! I have a new yard and the back yard was seeded last year and is having trouble coming up. I asked if we should seed now, and know that most would chomp at the bit to make more money, but this is an honest business and informed me that it wouldn't help, and would have to wait until the fall!!! Don't hesitate to use this business! Locally owned and operated too!

So far so good. I do have some weeds growing in the back yard after the first application. I have called them and left a message for them to come back out and apply another application.

They are using a new product which is the hydrogenic product but I didn't like the results with them so I cancelled it. The technician was good but the new fertilizer they are using wasn't enough for my yard. I've done some reseeding and I am still fighting it. I like the treatment plan I got.

They provide excellent service and are very responsive to our needs.

They sent us a statement saying they can save me a little bit of money if I pay the next upcoming year in advance and we did that. We pay $59 four times a year. They have done a pretty good job with the weed control. In the fertilizer, I’m not sure because it’s not the total green carpet that you like to find due to the amount of shade that we have and lack of rain. I think they do what could be expected and I have no problems with that. They were good. They don’t knock on the door and I don’t talk to them. But when I have seen them, they seem to be doing a good job.

They are very professional. They always explain what the lawn treatment will do and address any questions that we have. Their products are organically based so I feel better about using them. My lawn is noticeably healthier.

Simple project was completed to the standards that I expected. The price would have been no different if they would have provided the seed. There should have been a price reduction given that I gave them certified seed to use.

They were extremely helpful. Mark gave lots of tips on how we could improve our lawn both this year and next. We look forward to having them continue with a scheduled treatment plan and assisting us in reaching the goals we have for our lawn.

I made the call to the provider and he told me they would be out within a band of a few days and I did not need to be there. They left an invoice at my door and my home has been mostly bug free. I am not seeing the large brown spiders that were common prior to the treatment, nor am I seeing ants. I do see an odd bug ot two per month, but that is all right to me.

TLC is priced fair and do a nice job. All are friendly too! Would highly recommend.

They do a great job and they are very reliable. I appreciate the fact that they aren't a large company with several locations and several office personnel. I like that they are locally owned so I feel like I would get taken care of promptly.

TLC schedules the applications as needed and they do a good job of keeping our lawn looking green and healthy. (Nothing could be done about last year'sdrought.) And I'm happy to say we don't have spiders or other insects in the house. We have also used them for mulching. If I were to use them again for mulching, I would give specific instructions: Don't mound up the mulch against the tree; and don't bury slate flagstones in mulch. In fairness to TLC, I didn't complain to them about these issues, I just fixed it myself. In their pricing they offer a discount for prepaying which is what we do. We've used them longer than I have records so the date of service is a guess.

They are a small company, but they do a very good job. They not over expensive, and my lawn is weed free.

I was extremely pleased with the work I received from TLC. I recently moved into a new home and the yard had been neglected for well over a year in terms of fertilizer and weeding; it was in bad shape. After finding TLC on Angie's List I reached out to them via email, explained the situation, and asked for a quote. They came out the next day, issued an analysis and report and left it at my home. They then called the next day to ask me if I had any questions from their analysis and explained in detail how they felt they should "attack" my yard. It was super easy to work with the team and I felt like they covered all of my questions before proceeding with the treatments. They shared with me that due to the neglect they wanted to give my yard a very aggressive treatment and wanted to start immediately, which they did (the next day). I'm happy to report that my yard looks beautiful and almost all of the weeds are gone.

Came as agreed upon. Did the job, left notes about the treatment and lawn care. So far very pleased with service.
