 + -1 moreI spent around $150 on them. I had called them earlier and ordered for the mulch. They delivered on time and in specified order. They did what they were supposed to do. They did the delivery as per my instructions. The price of the mulch was fair, but the cost of delivery seemed a little high. I will use this company again.

 + -1 moreI visited their Web site to see what they offered -- I much prefer to do this over calling and playing 20 questions, and so I only looked at companies that offered this. The site gave me the advice I needed to select the type of dirt needed for the job. I was able to start the order process on the Web site, too, which I liked. They were supposed to call me within 24 hours to confirm and arrange payment, but they didn't, so I called them. But they had my order on record and handled payment efficiently. I made a masking-tape X on my driveway where I wanted the dirt dumped, and it was right on that spot when I came home from work on the afternoon the delivery was scheduled. I was very pleased with the quality of the soil delivered -- it was their field soil -- there was very little non-soil debris in it and the soil itself was loose with very few clumps, so I spent my time spreading the soil where I wanted it, rather than breaking it up first.

 + -1 moreMulch was of poor quality and had broken down to the consistency of dirt/topsoil. Had been outside and was waterlogged even though it was in plastic bags. Probably weighed in excess of 50 pounds per bag when it should have weighed 15. Took 3 times as long and multiple times the effort to spread because of the weight. Called and left message with these concerns but the company never called back.
Description of Work: Purchased hardwood bark mulch (in bags) and had them delliver it.

 + -1 moreThe service was great. We picked up the mulch ourselves in a huge truck. This was nice because it made it easier to distribute in our yard versus scooping it up from a shovel. One thing to note. Donna provided excellent service and advice for our needs. She did not sell us too much, try to upsell us and really spent time trying to get to know our needs. I highly recommend this place and she is a true gem. We are customers for life!
Description of Work: We have purchased mulch from this company for the past 6 years. They are professional and offer top grade mulch. The nice thing about it is that it is pest free and consisent from batch to batch. There are no massive wood chunks hidden anywhere.

We called Tiffany's several times to get pricing information and help with how much to order, delivery options etc. They were very helpful every time. When we placed our order they gave us their Angie's List discount with no hassle. Delivery was the same day. They dropped the mulch exactly where we asked and it was ready to go when we got home from work! We will continue to use them in years to come - they have very competitive prices and a great selection of products.

 + -1 moreWe were very impressed with the service. They are clearly a very customer focused company that went above and beyond to help us find what we were looking for. The driver did a phenomenal job of navigating our narrow driveway. We are happy with the result. For those considering a similar project, we did learn that the cost of flag stone can add up quickly. The right mixture of pea gravel, sand, and flume (2/3, 1/3, 1/3) can make for a nice, light-traffic, and inexpensive pathway.
Description of Work: We went to Tiffany to pick out rock (mixture of pea gravel, sand, and flume) to use on a walkway 178 sq ft. We also picked out flag stone to cover a 36sq ft area. Tiffany delivered the load to our home.

 + -1 moreI ordered 50 bags of 50 lb. play sand. It was delivered ($58 delivery charge) and dumped on my driveway. Pallets were left behind. Upon closer inspection, what was delivered was decorative ground stone, intended to fill the cracks between brick pavers for sidewalks and such. I called the company to let them know I had not received the play sand I ordered. I was placed on hold, while a manager was contacted. The receptionist came back on the line and told me that was their play sand, that the bags were mislabeled. I told the woman that I did not believe this was playground grade sand, that it should be filtered more finely, with less large rocks and such and that I was uncomfortable using this sand for children in a playground application. I was transferred to the manager, who hung up on me, without ever speaking to me. I called the manufacturer, whose name was on the bag. They explained it was indeed decorative sand used for pavers and not play sand. I would like this issue resoled with Tiffany's.
Description of Work: I ordered 50 bags of 50 lb. play sand. Decorative landscaping sand was delivered for a $58 delivery charge. The delivery was prompt. The driver left the pallets, although I asked that he take them back with him, since I was concerned the trash pickup would not take them. He suggested I break them up for firewood. I called Tiffany's to explain the wrong sand had been delivered. They said that was play sand, transferred me to manager who hung up on me.

When I informed Tiffany, Betty Austin was most accommodating and credited the entire delivery fee off our bill. I cleaned the oil up myself. The next delivery of the 60 yards was also placed correctly with no other problems.

 + -1 moreDelivery occurred as scheduled, the driver was professional and courteous and was concerned about nicking the chimney as I have a very narrow driveway. I'm still reeling from the ridiculous delivery charges. Probably best if you're prepared to pick up the stuff yourself and have a truck and people with strong backs to help! Very much a do-it-yourself type place.
Description of Work: I went there in person to order mulch, pea gravel and limestone. Having never done a landscaping project before, I was expecting some help from the people there. I had done research on their web site and had a general idea of what I needed. The front desk was not helpful and seemed more interested in just churning customers through on a fairly busy Friday afternoon - i.e. they seemed very understaffed. When I was told what the delivery charges would be, my jaw dropped open. I told them forget about the mulch and went with the 2.5 cubic feet gravel and 1.5 cubic feet for flume and even that delivery fee was an outrageous $122. Because I was in a crunch, I went ahead and ordered. I now really wish I had called around. The fee was so much because the customer service rep claimed it had to be in separate trucks. I asked why they couldn't put a tarp in to separate the products and she just said it wasn't possible and didn't seem at all interested in helping me, other than suggesting I come pick up the stuff myself (I don't have a truck). When I saw it delivered, it seemed like putting some kind of tarp in the truck would have easily saved them a trip and me paying unnecessary delivery fees. They have coupons all over the place and while the product is a fair price, delivery fees are *insane* for an across town trip (maybe 20-25 minutes).

When I called to see when that might be so I could coordinate my work schedule and the weather permitting me to spread the mulch, they very curtly said they did not know. I asked that they postpone delivery until the weekend which they did. We got the full amount we requested and it was good quality.
