My bathroom sink had a slow drip that I intended to repair. Then one day the sink clogged and wouldn't drain well even after I used Drain-o. My husband and I decided we would tackle this realatively simple drain repair by unscrewing the U-trap and cleaning it out. On Friday night, we were at Lowe's asking an employee about the plumbing componenets we needed when two tall guys appeared and told us what we needed. Turns out these very helpful and friendly guys were plumbers for The Plumbing Company. The next day my husband spent several hours working on the repair. By mid-afternoon, we determined that we couldn't fix the problem. I called The Plumbing Company mid-Saturday afternoon. They called me right back and agreed to come to my house that same day. They arrived and fixed the problem promptly. I was very pleased with their promptness, customer service, and price. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: The Plumbing Company cleared a clog in our bathroom sink and stopped the faucet from leaking.

First let me say, my report is not based on the quality of work Chris did. This is based purely on customer service or lack there of. Chris and one of his associates was at our house as a subcontractor for a different job. He went above and beyond that day. There were a few extra things around the house that needed done and he did it. They even went to Lowes that day to get the supplies needed to do it. Part of that work was to hook up the fridge to the existing waterline. On closer inspection, Chris advised it shouldn't be hooked up because the ice box was installed incorrectly and he wanted to make sure it was redone properly so I wouldn't have a water leak in my kitchen. I was totally ok with this and when he was leaving my house that day advised me his wife would call me on Monday 2/13 to schedule a time to come out to fix this issue, and wrote down a quote for it and a fix for our laundry room. Monday, 2/13, rolled around and no one called. At that time it was really no big deal as I was out of town for the week. On Monday 2/20 I called them explained why I was calling and what I needed. I spoke with Cindy who said she would talk to Chris and get back with me on a time. I told Cindy I was off on Thursday 2/23 and if he could do it then that would be great. After a few exchanged voice mails I was told that Chris would be out sometime on Thursday. No time frame was given. I didin't have any plans that day so I was fine with that. Thursday afternoon rolls around and I get a call from Cindy saying Chris has been stuck on a job all day and wasn't going to make it and she asked me if I was off one day next week. I said no, and asked if they did work in the evening. She gave me the dates they worked late and I picked Monday 2/27 after 4. She said she would call me to give me a time frame. Monday 2/27 comes and it's 3:30 and I hadn't heard from anyone for a time frame. So I call Cindy, ask what time. She has to call me back and she does and says between 4:30-6. OK sounds good. Now it's 6:45 and I'm just now getting a call from Cindy saying Chris is still stuck at the job. Now I understand that this stuff happens, but I expect a call before my time frame or at the very least not 15 minutes after they are supposed to show up. And on top of that, when she called last night to tell me Chris wasn't going to come she said he could come today 2/28 and again she would call me to give me a time. Not only did I not get a call back last night, it's 3:30 and still no call. I realize that the work I need done on my home is a piddly $200 and not $10,000. But as a paying customer I expect to be treated with a little respect and give me the decency to call me ahead of time to tell me you can't make it and give me a time frame for an appointment when I call. If Cindy is his scheduler, she sure has to run everything by Chris to even give you a date and time to come to your home. I'll find another plumber on Angie's list that wants my money. In this economy $200 is $200.

He provided the service what I was looking for. He came over and did the work. He left the Kitchen exactly the way that I found it. They cleaned up all perfectly. He was very prompt and professional. He came the same day I called. They were very nice. He knew exactly what to do. Everything was really easy. His price was really competitive. My faucet is sealed properly. He really did a nice job. They were very professional. I'm planning to use them again for the hardware work. I would use him in the future.
Description of Work: I used The Plumbing Co Inc in June. He came and changed the faucet as there was a leak. Every time I turned water on, water was all over the kitchen.

I spent $100 on that work. They are so good that they are off the chart. We did not maintain the system as we should have. He came back over and over trying to fix it and eventually brought in the company representative. The company fixed it for me and he came back once everything was right and he sent me a bill. It was a reasonable bill and he had not put in all the time he had put in to make the old one work. He did not charge us till it was right and he stood behind what he had sold us.
Description of Work: I used The Plumbing Co. Inc. a month ago to put in a back-up sump system.
Chris and his company was fantastic to work with. I had several estimates and his ran right in the middle. I went with him because he was very professional and honest. I have not regretted my decision.
Description of Work: I have used The Plumbing Co. since I moved into my house in 2004. I had my sewer line replaced from my house to the sidewalk.

With all of the rain in 2010, we had a lot of water leaking into our basement. The drain in our basement floor was clogged and it was becoming a problem. This company came out right away. They had a flat quote for unclogging drains. We had new carpet in our home and they were happy to take their shoes off every time they entered the house.
Description of Work: This company unclogged the main drain in our basement floor.

Wonderful service! Their assistant went above and beyond in helping. When I didn't know the exact location of the plumbing mechanism, she called the homebuilder to find out the general location of it. She also attempted to work out an agreement for repair with my HSA warranty company. I will definitely use them when I get the mechanism fixed in the Spring.

Chris was originally referred by our warranty company. We had a water heater with a faulty pilot light--the cause of which was difficult to determine. Our warranty company required Chris to make many, many trips to our home to try different things to resolve the problem. Chris, his apprentice, and Chris' wife were extremely patient and conscientious with the work and with the demands of our warranty company. Ultimately, we had Chris install a new water heater and a water softener. We trust Chris and he really knows what he is doing. We will use The Plumbing Co. for all our future plumbing needs and refer him to our friends.

Chris came out to repair our water heater and was sent out by our warranty company. We felt as if he was efficient, honest and thorough when he was doing this job. We knew we also had separate plumbing work that wouldn't be covered under our warranty. We are having a wet bar put in our basement and needed the plumbing work completed for it. He removed drainage and concrete so he could put in a new drain line for a sink, ice maker and dishwasher. He also hooked it up to hot and cold water. Everything he does is according to Indiana plumbing code. This project took a bit longer than he first anticipated and our charges were quite a bit more than what we thought, but it needed to be done and we thought Chris was the right guy for the job. He also brought out another young man with him to assist, I believe he was an intern of some sort. He was also polite and professional. We will use Chris again for any future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: We used Chris at this company for repairs to our water heater and plumbing work in our basement.

As he started to take things apart, he realized that the drain connection was decaying and needed to be replaced. This would require cutting a hole in the wall from another room, so he talked on the phone with my "wall repair" guy first, to make sure he cut the hole the best size and shape for reconstruction. He had other appointments, and we needed to move furniture, so we set another appointment. When he returned, he removed the old sink top and faucet and replaced them with items that we'd bought. He pointed out to me that the faucet was going to overlap the sink top a little bit, and made sure that I was all right with it before proceeding. With every step of the process, he let me know what he was doing and gave me a voice in how to handle things. He's always very good about cleaning up after himself, and the final product looks great!
Description of Work: He replaced the lavatory sink top & faucet. This included replacing the drain connection by cutting a hole in the wall from the other side. He also replaced the tub spout while he was there.

The woman who answered the phone was personable and efficient. I scheduled the appointment with her, and was pleased by the professionalism. The next day, Paul called and said he was about 20 minutes out. He arrived a few minutes early, introduced himself and began discussing the problem with me. After determining that the solution was probably a simple drain snake. He got his equipment, and layed out protective cloths to protect the cabinet and floor, he began to work on the drain. After clearing out the drain, he put things back together and cleaned up. All in All an outstanding job.

In the beginning he was committed to a long-term project that kept him pretty busy, so it took some time for him to get to us, but he kept us informed and updated throughout the process. He was prompt, clean and explained everything to us that we didn't understand. Took all the time needed to answer our questions, but didn't waste any time either. We originally called him to install all new pipes in our house, but he suggested minor maintenance instead, and it has solved the problems. To save us additional money, he gave us the description of the sump pump to buy ourselves, but when we realized that the retail stores didn't carry it anymore, he bought it himself and did not charge us for his time.
Description of Work: In his first visit, Chris gave an estimate for all the maintenance work we wanted done. In his second visit he installed a battery back up sump pump. In his third visit he installed a new water line to our refrigerator, repaired two faucets, cleared out a washing machine hose & cleaned up the inlets in our water heater.

The kitchen faucet was dripping so I purchased a new one at the hardware store and arranged for Chris to install it. What was to be a quick 1 hour job ended up with several complications. The 55 year old water supply pipe under the sink broke off inside the exterior wall as he tried to shut off the water. We quickly shut off the house water supply. Chris then had to disconnect the hot and cold water lines in the basement and run new lines through the basement ceiling and into the 1st floor space under the sink. He installed new hot and cold shut-off valves under the sink and tested everything. Also the bolts holding the old faucet would not loosen so he had to saw the faucet off. Chris fixed everything to my satisfaction and gave me a price break on the cost of the extra labor.
Description of Work: Removed existing kitchen sink faucet. Installed new kitchen faucet. Repaired broken water line and shut-offs.
