Description of Work: Last fall had sprinklers installed. Initially they tapped into water supply incorrectly twice which they finally corrected. I still believe that for the price we received a great value. This year's Summer heat, my lawn would be a disaster without lawn irrigation.

+ -1 moreI have been using them for a couple of years. There has been little leaks throughout the years but he comes right out and fixes it. He is a little relaxed with billing but he is very busy. I would recommend his services. Sometimes there is a little bit of a language barrier but I am very satisfied.

Description of Work: They installed a sprinkler system. The first time they installed two zones but that was not enough and I was not satisfied. They returned and installed two more zones for no additional charge. However, the contract was only for two zones but he wanted to satisfy my needs.

+ -1 moreOverall - I would use them again. They provide a good product at a very reasonable cost. Their estimate was roughly 1/2 of the of other companies. They are extremely friendly and polite. I have a functional sprinkler system that I love. However, there were some minor issues with installation. The installation crew started later than originally estimated, we had some heads that needed to be moved because they were installed in my neighbor's yard, and there was some damage done to backyard lighting and invisable fence. However, they were very courtious on their follow up, but somewhat unpredictable on their timing. They do provide good service, but seem spread a little thin. All said and done, I would use them again, but I would stay more involved in the actual installation. All-in-all, it was a great product - worth the $2500 to $3000 I saved by going with them.

+ -1 moreThe job was started and completed on the agreed upon date and time. The working crew started at 9:00 am and the job was completed by early afternoon. There had to be some trenching done, but the appearance of the lawn, after the work, looks pretty good. Chris spent ample time explaining the system and demonstrating how the controller box worked. Over all, I am very pleased with the installation and the company. Their follow-up servicing has been a little slow. Had a couple of issues that took multiple calls before the issues were addressed and solved. Everything now in good working order.

+ -1 moreThe irrigation system is functional now. He came out for the initial job and we had some troubles. I reported on him initially stating my frustrations. After he viewed the report, he has come back out to fix the problems and agreed with my initial frustrations. He advertises that he takes credit cards but when came time to pay the balance he only wanted me to pay by check and not use a credit card. He has stated that he will make follow up visits for our system to ensure it continues to work but he just doesn't show up on time.

+ -1 moreThe person from Affordable Sprinklers was really friendly. He was really nice and accommodating. When I first got it installed, some of the sprinklers didn?t work. So, I called him and took care of things in a timely manner. However, I had to deal with him and the other guys. They were nice guys. They were professional. They were very courteous and punctual. They were referred to us by our neighbor. Their pricing was reasonable. We are very happy with them.
Description of Work: I hired Affordable Sprinklers for fitting in the lawn irrigation system, last year and they also did some de-winterizing for me.

+ -1 moreChris and his crew showed up in the late afternoon and continued to work after dark. They came back the next morning and finished the job. Chris is a very nice guy who listened to what I needed and made recommendations. I have his service plan in which he turns the system on and off at the beginning and end of season along with any maintenance needed. His prices are very reasonable. He was 1200 dollars cheaper than a rival company. The only complaint I have is that he is a little unpredictable about when he will show up for maintenance.

Description of Work: Came to do a "backflow" test as required by the water company, as well as turn the irrigation system back on and test. Also came to repair sump pump drain pipe that he had cut with the "trenching" machine when he installed the system 2 years prior. (this was the 2nd time he attempted to repair the sump pump drain pipe) The owner came to my house without ANY prior contact with me and just started performing the work without informing me that he was on my property. Happened to look out and see him in back yard. After he completed the work, informed me that the charge was 185.00. Fortunately, I had gotten paid that week and I wrote him a check. Claimed system was working, just needed a new rain sensor. Said he would be back next day, came back over a week later (again with no call) and replaced rain sensor. However when it was time for my irrigation system to come on the next day, it did not. Called Affordable Sprinklers and was told the sensor was working. I informed him that we had not had rain in 3 days, so it should not be sensing any rain. Said he would come out, again did not come that day. When he did show up, he tested the system and said it was working, claimed sensor was not defective. A few more days lapsed and my system still had not worked. Called Affordable again was told it was working, but they would be out to look at it again. Said he was be out that same day (last Tuesday). Have not heard from Affordable and they have not come back to replace/fix rain sensor. In order to get my system to work, I had to get on an extension ladder and disconnect the rain sensor that is mounted on the roofline. After disconnecting the sensor, the system came on immediately, however now I have nothing to turn the system off automatcially in the event of rain.

Chris provided a detailed estimate, which allowed us to move forward with the project. Chris completed the installation within the agreed upon defined time-line. Chris was thorough and provided a high quality installation, which culminated with a demonstration of the sprinkler system and provided us with instructions on the use of the controller/timer. Chris presents a "value added" proposition by providing us with prompt and continuous customer service, which would involve the routine maintenance and special assistance in the future.
Description of Work: Installation of a sprinkler system that involved five zones, five separate valves, 25 rotors, spray heads and a controller/timer that was located in the basement.

+ -1 moreIn the end the sprinkler system works, but initially I was told it was be installed on a Monday and completed by Wednesday. On Tuesday the control panel was installed and the installation didn't start until Thursday evening. They worked only in the evenings, so a job that was stated to only take 2 days took almost 2 weeks. My complaint is not really how long it took, it is that they just never came at the times THEY said they would. So there was a lot of guessing as to when and if they would show up.
