The Davey Tree Expert Company

I have used this company for several years and find that they do a good job. I like that I can spread out my payments over nine months. I like that they offer other tree services and will be using them.

They did a good job but not as good as I hoped.

I felt that they did not do the best work. They left a huge mess of debris. They were not thorough. I felt that they charged a lot for such a small job. I thought that they were not as professional as they could have been.

I had asked if they had any idea when they would be coming out (when I got an estimate from them) and they didn't know, but asked if they could call me when they knew. They did call me and told me they'd be out the next day between 10 and 10:30am. And they were on time. I asked them to make sure the gates were locked when they left so my dogs didn't get out and they made sure of this. When they were done, they came to the door and asked if there was anything else they could do and offered for me to come out and look at the work while they were there, but it was nasty out so I didn't. Their supervisor came out and also checked the work. He asked me if everything was OK. They didn't demand payment from me at the time of service either, the bill will be in the mail.

They did a good job they were prompt and did everything they said they were going to do. They also cleaned up after they were completed.

Trimmed 4 large maple trees and a few others around our home. Fertilize and the trees are doing really well. Daveys' have done a very good job. Patience in trimming the trees. They were very accommodating.

They were very affordable compared to everyone else I talked to.

I have used company for years. Choosing them over another tree company after seeing both, working on trees in my neighborhood. The fellows were working, while the other group wasn't. Seeing that, I knew what company two use on my trees.

The approximate cost is for lawn fertilization.

I really liked having an arborist to talk to about my trees. It was expensive but comparable to other tree service companies.

Davey did an excellent job trimming our weeping cherry tree. Scheduling took longer than expected and what seemed reasonable. I requested that they call the day before work was to be completed. Unfortunately, I was not notified. Would have liked to have been home while the work was performed.

The men who do the actual work were very polite, efficient, and really knew what they were doing. I couldn't have been more pleased with them. However, the company is very frustrating since they do not return calls or work by any appointment schedule. After receiving estimate, I called to schedule the work and was told I had to sign and return the estimate (contract) in order to schedule. I sent in signed contract (estimate) requesting they do the work. I called twice more to try to set up a day to have work done. I was willing to wait weeks, just wanted to be sure I was home when done. The girl answering the phone was very polite and told me she would give the message, but that the men I needed to talk to were out of the office each day after 9:00 a.m. They didn't return either call. They called the day before they were ready to do the work.

Everything went well. Davey representative answered all our questions. Dave representative & tree trimmers were on time. Cost of job was lower than we thought it would be. They did a great job of cleaning up the yard. Tree trimmers were clean, American & could speak English. Davey representative very professional. Did a good job & cleaned up yard. Workmen knew what they were doing. Be at home when tree pruning men are scheduled to arrive, so your questions can be answered.

The workers were brisk, professional, and very tidy. We were grateful to get service a few days after a storm.

TOOK SEVERAL WEEKS TO PERFORM THE WORK EVEN THOUGH I PAID UP FRONT. WHEN THE GUYS FINALLY SHOWED UP THEY DID A POOR JOB. SEVERAL LIMBS LEFT HANGING AND SHRUBS WERE POORLY SHAPED. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM.

LEAST EXPENSIVE OF ALL ESTIMATES. DID A GREAT JOB.

REALLY GOOD SERVICE. THEY CALL AHEAD OF TIME SO I CAN UNLOCK THE GATE AND PUT THE DOG IN THE HOUSE. I HAVE SEEN MY NEIGHBOR'S YARD GET SCORCHED AND BLASTED WHEN SOME OTHER COMPANY APPLIED FERTILIZER AND WEED CONTROL JUST BEFORE A BIG DRY SPELL. DAVEY DOES NOT DO THIS. THEY ACTUALLY TAKE THE WEATHER INTO ACCOUNT! THE LAWN LOOKS GREAT, AND THEY DON'T OVER FERTILIZE IN THE SPRING, AND THEY DO FERTILIZE IN THE FALL, WHEN YOU NEED HEALTHY ROOT GROWTH.

WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE WORK. THEY WERE REASONABLY PROMPT, ALTHOUGH IT TOOK A WEEK AFTER THE TREES WERE CUT DOWN BEFORE THE STUMPS AND SURFACE ROOTS WERE TAKEN CARE OF. THEIR PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, ALTHOUGH NOT THE LOWEST ESTIMATE WE RECEIVED.

WE HAVE USED THEM FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS. INCLUDING A TREE REMOVAL. MORE OFTEN IT'S PRUNING AND INSECT TREATMENTS.

THEY DO A GOOD JOB. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THE ARBORIST CAME FIRST AND CHECKED THE TREE OUT AND GAVE WORKERS INSTRUCTIONS. THEY CLEANED WELL ALSO.

THEY WERE QUICK TO RESPOND AND DID A GOOD JOB. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS.

PAID THEM TO CHECK ON TREES, ONE TREE DIED, AND HAD TO BE REMOVED. I LEARNED LATER THAT THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PLANTED IN THEIR CURRENT LOCATION. BECAUSE OF SOME RECORD KEEPING ERROR, THEY NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT OUR TREES. HE FOUND ANOTHER TREE THAT NEEDED DEAD WOOD CUT FROM IT. HE PROMISED TO DO IT A MONTH AGO, AND HAS STILL NOT FOLLOWED UP ON THE ISSUE. ANOTHER COMPANY HAS SHOWN US THAT WE STILL AREN'T GETTING THE SERVICE WE PAID FOR. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

DAVEY CAME OUT TO MY HOUSE THE NEXT DAY TO GIVE ESTIMATE, CALLED BEFORE THEY CAME OUT & DID WORK. THEY WERE ON TIME, VERY PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR WORK AND DID A GREAT JOB. I WOULD USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN & WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO OUR NEIGHBORS.

OUT OF THE OTHER 4 OR 5 OTHER ESTIMATES, THEY TOOK THE LONGEST TO GET ME A WRITTEN ESTIMATE. ALL THE OTHERS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE WHILE THEY WERE HERE.
