Suzette's Tub Saver

I had reached out via Angie's list message weeks ago and I never received a response. I attempted to telephone the number list and could not get through. I wonder if the business is still in operation???

Both Suzette and Jeff were very personal and professional. I went through what needed to be done and the set to work immediately. They were very careful to protect all the surfaces around the tub/bathroom that might come in contact with the spray. They repaired and then prepped the tub for its finally coating. They set up a blower to exhaust the fumes outside (I choose to run the blower most of the night - we did not smell any odors in the rest of the house). They returned the next morning to do a final cleanup and inspection.

They didn’t show up. They called the morning and said the price was doubled so I cancelled. The original quote was $400 and then they raised it to about $760. They didn’t keep their promises.

The fiberglass base of a shower in our home needed to either be refinished or replaced. Replacement would have been much more expensive as we would have had to locate tile that was no longer in production. Suzette gave an estimate over the phone via photos I sent. She worked us into her schedule in just a few days. She took great care to shield the rest of the shower and bathroom from her process. She and her husband Jeff, who works with her, spent 5 - 6 hours to complete the work. It looks fantastic! They even used a non-slip topcoat. They could not have been nicer or easier to work with, and I am extremely pleased with the finished product.

We called and an appointment was made for approximately two weeks (on Wednesday) to come and evaluate our tub. My wife made plans not to work on that Wednesday due to the appointment. Late on Tuesday prior (after we had gone to bed) we received a text message from Jeff saying he needed to change the appointment to the Thursday at 4:00 requiring another day off work. He and Suzette did come the next day around 5:30 PM to evaluate and measure the tub. At that time we were given a price and scheduled a date to do the work (Friday 9/25/15). We were told it would take about 4 hours to complete the job and the tub couldn't be used for approximately 48 hours afterwards. They also told us they didn't start their day until 10-:30 or 11:00 so the job would likely take until approximately 3:00 on the day of installation. Fast forward to Friday (9-25-15) yet another day off work! Between 10:00 and 11:30 both my wife and I received several phone calls from Jeff and Suzette making excuses why they were going to be late again. First they were going to be a bit late, then the person who does the "support work" was unavailable until 12:30 or 1:00 because he had to install a water heater. We were never told about this "other" person. We were told they did the work. Another reason for being late was health relates issues with Suzette's husband on Friday morning. Finally Jeff called my wife and told her that I was irate with Suzette and she was uncomfortable doing the job. Jeff said there were other people that could do the job. My wife told them if they didn't want to do the job to let us know. Jeff and Suzette made the decision to not come and do the repair work. There are always two sides to every story. Bottom line, yes I got irate. I was tired of the excuses. We worked our schedule to meet theirs and we lost about as much money (through missed work) as it was going to cost to repair our tub. Personally we find them to be unprofessional. We would never call them again and certainly would not refer them to anyone. You may find them to be completely different if they do work for you. This was just our experience.

Suzette and Jeff are such lovely, competent, helpful people! They did a terrific job. They advised that it would probably be more cost efficient to put in new tub surround but, due to specific circumstances, I found it better to resurface. I am glad I did.

First initial contact, company responded with a phone number to call to leave a message and a good time to call. My husband and I both tried repeatedly through emails and voicemail to get this company to either respond back after initial contact or send someone out to look at the prospective project and send a quote. Finally gave up....needed to make a decision to have the work done. Honestly, I would not hire this company since they don't respond.

Suzette is very personable and did a great job. She gave us several tips for keeping our tub in immaculate condition. I would definitely recommend.

We were so pleased with the first tub Suzette refinished we had her do our second. Everything she does is perfect. For a little extra she will recaulk and her job was just beautiful. Later in 2015, we will have her do a down stars shower for us.

I selected Suzette's Tub Saver based on the reviews and A ratings received on Angie's List. Suzette returned my call and was very friendly over the phone. She explained the process and pricing to have two cast iron tubs re-glazed and caulked. The tubs were not in horrible condition but they were original to the 1942 home and I needed to change the color to white. The service was performed on-time for the quoted price and the tubs look like new, what more can you ask for?

Suzette came highly rated on Angie's list. She quoted a slightly lower price than other competition with comparable high ratings. She scraped off the old caulking, which was very hard and took 90 minutes alone. Then she stripped an old finish that had been poorly applied before we bought the property. Next she etched the tub, which was a step the prior finisher skipped. Then she cleaned the surface and applied the glazing with a spray gun. All the time she was careful to vent fumes in the house and to protect herself from the fumes. The result was a beautifully finished tub, which is a huge improvement. We are very happy with the end product.

We were very happy with Suzette's tub service. She talks a lot but that's okay with me. She's doing a great job. She's very professional. It's an A service definitely. She was here within like a week or two. Her price is very good. They had the right quote and so, that was really good. I think she had to postpone the day or whatever but I was okay with that. She got done what she needed to get done. I've referred her to a tons of people.

On a Friday, I left a message on Suzette's voicemail asking for a price quote. She did not get back to me until the following Tuesday. She apologized profusely about taking so long to get back to me; she had been out of town. After that she always returned my calls in less than an hour. We scheduled the work for the following Monday. She was a little bit late arriving, but in her defense I made it clear to her that I would be home all day and the exact time was not important to me. She did call to let me know that she was running a little late. Suzette was very friendly and accommodating. She stripped the tub of the old glaze, repaired many chips, and refinished the tub. Suzette offered to come back that night to caulk after the glaze had dried, so we could use the tub that night, but since that wasn't necessary, she came back the next morning to caulk. The tub looks great. Suzette was friendly, hard-working and, except after the initial call, very quick to return my calls. I gave her an "A" in punctuality because, although she had been a little later than she had said, I had told her that I wasn't overly worried about what time she showed up, and she called to let me know she was running a little late.

Holding off on doing work for now but will be using her in the near future

Suzette did an excellet job of regazing our bath tub. It looks absolutely beautiful! She was professional, prompt and very efficient.

When was the last time you paid MORE than you were charged for a service? Ever? Well let me tell you about Suzette! I decided when i wrote out a check to her that I was adding another $50.00 because she deserved it! She is very very good at her job! I love, love my new sparkling white bath tub. She came and stripped off the old finish, primed it, painted it and caulked it. Im so pleased and Im no longer embarrased by my bathtub. Here 24 hours later Im still beaming! Without Angies List and all the good feedback, I would have never found her. Thank you so much!

Suzette was great. She gave me a quote on the phone, outlining the additional costs if she encountered them once on site. She worked to schedule around my needs. She spent a long day working on the 2 projects, taking care to protect the other surfaces in the area. Cleaned up everything and left care instructions The fixtures look great.

She was very cordial and did a nice job on it. We had a referral about her from a another handyman service that we use sometimes. It worked out really well.

Suzette did a fantastic job, bring an old, yucky tub back to looking like new. The tub was chipped, peeling, and around the drain was pitted. After she was done, I was extremely pleased. I had been thinking about replacing the tub but Suzette made the old look new.

Suzette is AWESOME! I am a property manager/owner and needed a tub resurfaced within a week for a tenant. She promptly returned my call the day I called her, and was able to fit me into her schedule. She is very detail oriented and had all the hardware off and/or taped so she could strip the old coating off, and then apply a new one. The results are amazing. I will be using her services again.

Suzette did a great job stripping & reglazing our tub. She was quick to return phone calls & texts when I reached out to her for a quote & then to schedule a day for the work. Additionally, stripping & reglazing is a messy job, but Suzette contained the mess with tarps. The bathroom was clean when she left & tags tub looked brand new. I would definitely recommend Suzette.

Suzette is AMAZING!!! I cannot believe how good our old tub looks now - it really does look like new. The tub was so disgusting before calling Suzette and now I could live in it!!! Suzette was very responsive and I was able to schedule an appointment within a couple days of calling her. She is a hard worker and so nice. I can't believe how much work is involved with stripping and refinishing a bath tub. It saved us a fortune to have the tub refinished - we almost had it ripped out and replaced with a new tub and surround which would have been really expensive and not look nearly as nice. I was very happy to save the original tub as I think it looks 1000 times better than a new tub surround. Thank you Suzette!!!

I talked with several folks that were recommended to me and then discovered Suzette through Angie's List. I like to use women owned businesses and I am glad I found Suzette. She gave me an estimate over the phone and showed up promptly for the task. I agree with the other reviewers who say she is a delight. I didn't think my dogs were going to let her work--they really liked her! She explained in detail the process and how it would happen. The finished product is better than I expected. I am so pleased! She is coming back this week to do the tub in my apartment and I will have her back after the first of the year to do the other two tubs in the building.
