We had Handyman Services perform a laundry list of small repairs to our home. They were fantastic and go much more done in the time we paid for than we expected!

We were completely satisfied. These gentlemen were completely professional. They did a good job of covering the floors and furniture, etc. to prevent as much dust as possible from reaching the walls, floors & furniture. Their charges were fair and the time required was minimal. Just felt very good about their competency, and they were good guests in our home. They also rebuilt the top part of the chimney.

It was not a good experience. The guy that came out seemed like he knew what he was doing. But after he left, several of the things that he did became undone. He had replaced two doors and then when the weather got hot, they swelled and wouldn't open right. He also tightened up a bunch of towel racks and things and one particular towel rack came undone three different times. We called them back every time and to their credit, they came back three times. There was a year warranty and he came back three times in a year. I think it was just the guy because the last time the owner came out to fix it because I guess he didn't believe us that it kept coming undone. I never called him back because the year was up and I was just over it and was going to find someone else. He did hang a ceiling fan which was alright. I was not thrilled with the quality of the work or the clean-up. I was impressed with the fact that they did try to make it right.

Good service, good communications and at a fair price

Elden was responsive to come to our home and give us information and subsequently a quote to replace pool liner and clean decking area. He is very personable and appeared to be very knowledgeable. He showed us several options and explained the differences. To ensure 2011 pricing, we had a limited amount of time to decide on commitment. He provided us a detailed quote and timeline of when he would need to measure existing liner and timeline for installation. The quote included a statement "Install new liner, gasket, face plates, steps". However when the installation was in process, Elden advised that he was not installing new steps. He advised that he mistyped the quote, and we were not getting new steps. Therefore, my advise is for one to make sure a buyer goes over every detail and go over it with the contractor so there is no misunderstanding. He kept to his schedule, even working very late into the evening to complete the job on time. However, when swimming in the pool for the first time, we discovered two flaws in the liner. The top of step area had duct tape residue which was not cleaned up until Elden came back due to our request. The faceplate has a residue on it, which he was able to remove, but again should have been found upon installation. Overall it was a good experience, but little details of doing it right the first time are important. We are willing to give Elden more business, but have learned our lesson to go over details thoroughly for complete understanding.

We have used this company several times in the past and were very happy with them. I was confident that they would take of us when asked to repair and repaint our ceiling. We called the service and requesting a specific rep. who had been to our house before. The rep showed up at the appointed date and time, took measurements, discussed the job with me, and then said Super Handyman would get back to me with an estimate. A few weeks passed and I didn't hear from them. I called the company to ask about the estimate and got their voice mail. I left a detailed message asking them to contact me. Never heard another word! While it is understandable that perhaps the company did not want to perform this particular job, all they would have had to do is let me know. I was under the impression that we had a good working relationship with Super Handyman. Guess I was wrong.

Booked an appointment 2 weeks prior today at 1PM for 3 small jobs at my home, received email confirmation of date and time with quote. Jay was a no show at 1PM, I call at 2:30 and leave message. Elden calls at 4:10 pm and says "these kind of things happen, I'm not going to get excited about it, do I want to reschedule?" I say no way, I'll find someone more reliable. If you don't mind being stood up without a phone call prior to the appointment time, then this is your guy. UPDATE: 8/31/2012 Interesting to read Elden's comments, they seem very reasonable. He told me specifically, "Jay had a family emergency and could not call me" Beware of this company, read all pages of the reviews, not only the first few pages. You will see where there are other emergencies and a trend begins to develop.

Our pool liner had gotten to the point of needing to be replaced. We found Super Handyman on Angie's list and decided to give them a try due to the A-list recommendation and their having provided us with the best quote of those received. The install was performed flawlessly and the contractor was clean and efficient with their work. In addition, I believe they went above and beyond what most would do in terms of making repairs that they weren't necessarily obligated to perform. Due to the state of our pool, it ended up costing a bit more than the estimate, but it was it was still less or on par with the other quotes received. That said, the additional cost was due to needing additional items replaced that were not part of the original quote. Overall, I was very happy with the service and plan to use Elden and team for future pool/spa needs.

Prompt service. Made 2 trips to complete the job. He went to multiple stores to get the right parts to connect the gas grill. Very satisfied with service.

We live in an old home with frequent "little" problems and end up calling a variety of contractors for all of them - we were thrilled to find a handyman who has the capability to handle many different issues, from plumbing, to electrical work and even roofing! This time we had a variety of plumbing problems and they were prompt, courteous, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Super Handyman will be our go-to for many future home services.

My inital phone call was answered promptly, and after clarifying what we wanted, Jay came out for an estimate. He seemed undaunted by the height of the window, and its precarious placement. We agreed on a date juat a few days later, and before we knew it, our beautiful stained glass piece was hung securely and without incident. Thanks, Jay! I am looking around for more jobs for you because I would hire Super Handyman Service again, without hesitation!

Great! They responded promptly to my call; scheduled the work for 2 days later; gave me a firm price for the work over the phone; showed up on time; were careful not to make any mess and to clean up after they were done; installed the fan/light exactly as requested; explained how to use the remote control; said "thank you" and left. They did not require immediate payment, as I could not find my checkbook; they were happy to just mail me an invoice, which they did. It arrived a few days later with the agreed amount on it; and I paid. Does it get any better than that?

Great work, good results, decent price. I had waited a long time to have my husband do the work and finally just called these guys and had it done. My husband was grateful he didn't need to do it.

My experience was excellent. The woman who did the scheduling was kind enough to schedule my estimate for a day when the handyman was available. So, if I was comfortable with the price he quoted, he could do the work right then. I had had 2 other estimates and Super Handyman Service was right in line with one other, even a little less expensive, and the fact he could do it right then was worth a lot to me. He got right to work once we agreed on the list of things, and I ran out to get some parts that he needed. He told me exactly what to get and worked around my kids' nap schedules to get the things near their rooms finished first. He was professional, quick, and did quality work. I'd definitely use them again!

A representative arrived at our home to take a look at our problem; Scott had worked all day on another job, but took time to stop by to try and assess the situation. We had been getting more concerned, with each rainfall. Scott went to our 2nd story, where the bathroom is -- and the problem; he went into the rafters to see what could be seen. While we could not see where the water was entering, Scott had with him the type of outside sealant needed to at least make an attempt at keeping out further drips/leaks. He climbed up onto the roof and applied the sealant to the window. He did not charge us for his time nor his work; unfortunately, we have seen evidence that a new spot under the same window is allowing some moisture in; we will call Super Handyman again.

Very good. Polite, nice, clean, quick - easy to work with.

From the beginning it was a very good experience. The company was very responsive. Called and e-mailed estiments when promised. The person who did the work, Bruce, was very courtious and efficient. Only slight negative was the price seemed high but there was quite a bit of labor involved.

The work was fine but I thought the price was very high. I had them out before and they were great but I was dissapointed this time. He told me I couldn't pay by credit card even though I was able to the last time. He also told me my whole faucet would need to be replaced but I was able to get another plumber to repair it instead and save me some money.

We were very happy with the work. The price was reasonable and very well done.

I liked the fact that they were close. The contractor that showed up to do the estimate was courteous and seemed to know what he was doing. He was thoughtful and wrote up a guestimate on the spot and then he sent an email with the actual cost of everything. I will have them quote again in the future. We have not followed through with the project at this point,

Overall it was a positive experience and I will use him again in the future.

I wouldn't use them again because they are very expensive. It was a job that could have been done for no more than $250. This was a small job without skill so I don't know how they would be on a larger job. I don't think I would use them again.

My experience working with him was excellent. He returned my phone calls immediately and he had somebody out here almost immediately to do the quote and do the work. It was done in a very fast timely manner.

His price was good. The guys were professional and they came out and did the job in a timely manner. They gave me a price and the price was the same from beginning to end; it may even have been a little less expensive than the estimate on one or two of the jobs. I called him one evening and he was there the next day.
