Description of Work: I asked for an estimate to fix brick steps, fix a storm door and a wood cold air return vent, refinish original wood floor, replace a laminate wood floor, repair a bdrm door hole and a door frame, and repair drywall damage. Mr. Elden Foltz was very punctual, courteous, and seemed like he wanted my business.

He was able to get everything done in a short period of time so we could meet the deadline for closing on the house. Very reasonable price. Everything looks great!

Description of Work: I manage three rental properties. One tenant left the house a mess. Jay repaired the drywall damages, hung blinds, recaulked a tub, and did all the touch-up painting on my one property. It looks great and is ready for move-in. On my other rental, he built replacement doors for a mini-barn that had previously been door-less.

+ 3 moreAll of the work was done very well. Mr. Foltz knows what he is doing, is efficient, courteous and professional. I am recommending him to my friends while continually finding more jobs in my own house for which to hire him. Even when he was running only a few minutes late he called to let me know, which was appreciated. I like that he will haul reusable old stuff away, like doors and windows, to be donated to organizations like Habitat for Humanity, thus helping a good cause and not filling up our landfills.
Description of Work: Replaced service door in garage (and hauled away old door to be donated to a charity), enlarged drain hole in gutter, caulked low patio brick wall that had separated from main wall, replaced patio light, replaced glass by-pass shower door (and hauled away old door).

+ 1 moreI called on a Monday and Mr. Foltz came out the next day to give me an estimate on which we agreed. When he was picking the replacement stockade panels he called me with matches that were available. He arrived on time the next day with a helper. He had several panels in his truck that I could choose from for the best match with my older fence, since the original fence was no longer made.
Description of Work: Storm damaged three panels of a privacy fence. Mr. Foltz removed all the damaged fence and the broken fence post. He installed the new stockade panels, the new fence post and hauled away all the damaged fence. He took the extra effort to make a smooth transition between the old sections and the new ones.

+ 1 moreElden is a great guy. He was late for our appointment but he called early to explain the situation. He was very courteous while completing the estimate and completing the work. There was a three week delay between the estimate and when he was able to do the work but that was due to his busy schedule. I would consider having this company do more work in the future. He was very prompt with his estimate and I like that he emails the finalized invoice. NOTE- if you want to pay with a credit card, there is a service charge.
Description of Work: Installed poles and shelves in three closets. Installed one set of sliding closet doors. Installed wireless doorbell.

+ 0 moreI live in a old house so anything I have done can always be more of a problem than first expected. This did not seem to faze Mr. Foltz at all. He works quickly and efficiently and compensated for the unevenness of my porch in order to make all the diagonal lines of the trellis match perfectly. He told me when he would arrive and then showed up when he said he would. He called me back right away on my initial inquiry. He came equipped with all the tools he would need to do the job. I appreciate his professionalism and finished product and am planning future jobs for him to do in my home.
Description of Work: I had a window on my porch rescreened and then trellis put up on the west end of the porch to prevent wind damage in the future. Also repaired a light switch in my basement.

This time, Eldon arrived on time, started work on the kitchen and then asked if I thought the color caulk he had was right. We decided it needed another color, which he had to go pick up. I had an appointment and had to leave, so we rescheduled for the following day. He finished the bathtub, then returned the next day with the correct color for the kitchen and finished the job.

+ -1 moreElden was great. Before he could make it out there (as he had a big job he was doing), he came out and put a tarp on the roof to protect it from further damage. His men came out and took down the gutters. He also found the wood the sellers had on the house was PINE rather than cedar. That would cause damage, rotting etc. He replaced all the trim with cedar, installed the roof drip edge, had the gutters rehung, and since it was a 2 day job, came out and protected any attic exposed to the elements, and put the gutter guards on agreed. Elden always honors his Angie's List discount and is a pleasure to work with. We have had no problems since then with the leaking, etc. We are pleased.
Description of Work: Our newly installed roof was leaking into our garage. The person who installed it did so the summer before we purchased the home. They did not install a drip edge and that, combined with the fact the sellers nailed through the gutters into the side of the home, was causing water to go from the gutters into the house. Elden had done work for us before and we had been pleased. He came and gave us a quote to properly hang gutters and install the drip edge. While there, he also noticed there was rotted wood which our sellers painted over that should be replaced. Elden gave us a quote for replacing the wood, closing up the holes in the gutters and hanging them properly, as well as putting a gutter guard/leaf protector on the gutters.

+ -1 moreIt went great! Elden came in quickly and installed the toilets and made sure his worker installed properly and THEY FLUSHED. We have not had the problems since. We were very relieved it was not a more costly plumbing repair and Elden really knows what he is talking about. He honored the Angie's List discount as well!
Description of Work: We recently moved into a home and found the toilets were not flushing very well. We were afraid there was some sewer line problem or some kind of obstruction. We called Elden since he had helped us solve many past problems. Elden said the sellers/previous owners probably installed the cheapest toilets without a glazed trap and that is likely what is the problem. We were skeptical because it was so bad we were sure it must be something more serious. Elden recommended we buy some decent toilets, by Kohler or American Standard. I found at Home Depot 2 Kohler toilets, with a glazed trap. for about $150 a piece. We bought them and Elden and a worker of his installed them.

We received prompt, courteous and quality results at a very fair price. We only requested the door repair but after that was done, I asked about the garbage disposal that had gone out on Thanksgiving Day. The Owner examined the issue and confirmed what we thought that we needed a new disposal. He went to purchase one and returned to install it. It was then that I asked him about the shower head problem and he immediately fixed that. My husband and I were thrilled to have located such an excellent source for our repair needs.
