On time, reasonable cost, work well done. Looks great. Replaced some lost dirt which washed away in the rain.

We have used 3 other landscape companies for other jobs; there was always something that didn't meet our expectations. Steve and the Stavros crew not only met our expectations they exceeded them. We had 3 companies come out to help design and give us an estimate on installing a plan based on OUR ideas. Steve took our ideas, gave us feedback and implemented a plan that we were extremely happy with. The other companies weren't interested in what we thought they wanted to do their own thing at a high price with our yard. The install was great. Steve was there the entire time managing the crew and making sure we were happy with all aspects of the plan as it was being done. They took care of things around our yard not even in the estimate. We now have a beautiful landscape / not the cookie cutter design others in the neighborhood have. We can't wait for everything to come back to life and full color this spring. We will use Stavros for any further jobs we ever do - Simply the best!

I talked with Steve on the phone and he was able to come out the next morning to look at our yard. He said they could definitely fix it up, I told him I just wanted to give the yard some curb appeal because we would be selling it soon. I received the quote in our mailbox a couple days later and I was a little shocked at the price. There were so many plants and shrubs on the quote, and I can't even imagine how they would all fit in the yard! (Our front yard is very small). We still considered getting some of the work done but we never received a follow up call from Steve to do the job.

We live in the woods so it's more extensive than normal yard. They are very reliable and are very reasonable for the work. They bring a whole crew and finish the job. They are very courteous and I have enjoyed working with them. We will continue to use them for future service.

At first I was very pleased because the grass came up quickly and looked very healthy. However, a short time later some bare spots were very obvious. I called and was told to "throw some grass seed on it"! It is now 10 weeks later (with still warm weather), and the grass is getting thinner and thinner. What will it look like by spring?? Also, I mailed in the Angie's List coupon (5% off) with the signed contract. The bill did not reflect the discount. I called and was told to subtract the discount. Then I got another bill for the 5%! I called and was told to ignore it. Not very professional.

I called and asked for someone to come and give me an estimate on aerating my lawn and re-seeding some or it or all of it, deferring to their expertise. A representative came out within 2 days and left a form contract listing all the lawn services they could perform and the cost for each. You also were to indicate whether you wanted the service performed in the fall and/or the spring. I indicated that I wanted my entire lawn aerated and over seeded in the spring and mailed the form back to them. That was the very end of October. I came home on Friday, Nov. 2, and discovered while mowing my lawn that my lawn had been aerated and grass seed applied. I called Stavros, but at 5:30 on a Friday evening, they were closed for the weekend. I left my name and explained I had wanted spring service, NOT fall. Steve, the man who had done the estimate for my yard, returned my call on Monday morning and confirmed that they messed up. However, I am still expected to pay now. I'm not pleased.

Steve was easy to work with, both when giving us the estimates and during the work, when several issues (like grubs) popped up. The work crew was busy the whole time here. After several weeks of 2 a day waterings, the lawn looks great. There was a slight misunderstanding on the billing, but that was resolved easily with one phone call. Stavros Lawn Service has a 5% Angie's List discount (that was not the billing issue).

Quick response from my initial call for the estimate and job. They were flexible in putting off part of the work until another project was completed on my home. Friendly people, and they cleaned up the whole yard more than I expected.

Steve from Stavros came out day after I called and gave me quote. By far, they were the most responsive outfit I called. I'm still waiting from quotes from other companies. They were able to perform the work within a week or so of my call. I pretty much new what I wanted, so there wasn't much hand holding. They required 50% down to start the work. I'm not a fan of paying until the work is performed, but it was not a major deal in this case. Steve estimated the work to take about one day. The work was performed by seven guys within three hours. I didn't like the fact that I had to call office, leave a message, then have Steve call me back each time. Apparently they don't like to give out his cell phone number, so you have to go through two steps to communicate with him. That said, he always returned my call the same day.

They do a great job and show up on schedule. When the lawn is too short (due to our dry summer) they don't mow and don't charge.

From the business owner to the office staff, we could not have been more impressed with their professionalism. The work performed equaled and often surpassed our expectations. This is laborious work, especially in summer heat conditions. I don't recall more than a 15-minute break for lunch. To find dedicated people such as this is indeed rare.

Steve from Stavros came to the house, took pictures and left me a quotation. I then spoke with him to clarify what I wanted done, signed the estimate after adding the specific work I wanted done and was put on the schedule. Steve called when they were at my home and asked if I wanted them to mulch. I said no, but then after seeing how cleaned up the beds were, I called and asked them to come back and mulch. He asked if I wanted the dead tree removed and he gave me a reasonable quote. When I came home that evening, I was so impressed with what they had done. I just love looking out my back windows and seeing how beautiful the landscaping looks. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done.

Karli and her crew has always done a great job for me. This year they cleaned the beds, trimmed all the plants, edged, and laid new mulch. She has designed all my landscaping over the past 5 or 6 years. My yard is the best in the neighborhood! I would not hesitate on referring them to friends or neighbors. I have never shopped any other landscapers until this year. I decided I wanted to see what else was out there. Stavros was not the lowest or the highest. I am happy with the price. Though it does seem like a lot of money each and every year. Not sure how the other companies compare in quality, but at least I know Stravros compares in price. And I really doubt the other companies would do any better than Stavros. I will continue to use them.

He estimated that the work would be done at the end of June but got it done 2 weeks early to take advantage of the rainfall. Their crew was fast, professional and efficient.

They came with a large crew of workers and completed the job in two days. They took care of unexpected problems that came up. Excellent communication from start to finish. High quality of work.

They gave me the estimate in a timely manner and arrived when promised. They completed a very large job in less than a day, and cleaned up very nicely.

They arrived early on a Monday morning and inspected the areas we wanted mulched. When I returned home from work that day, everything had been completed. I went out to pull some weeds a few days later, and they had taken care of most of them. They also trimmed some of the perennials and hauled away the debris.

I placed my order in early spring. The woman who took my order was very friendly and seemed quite knowledgeable. She called the following week to indicate there would be a delay due to weather and general, industry-wide topsoil shortages. Stavros delivered the topsoil about two weeks later, which was exactly in line with my expectations. They dumped the soil in the exact location requested. The quality of the soil was, unfortunately, not to my satisfaction. It was clumped and laden with clay. I was able to use about one (1) cubic yard of the dirt to fill low spots in the yard. The remainder of the dirt was not usable. I called Stavros to voice my concern and they were very understanding. They explained that their sub-tier supplier, on rare occasions, dug too deep when excavating topsoil. We quickly reached a mutually agreeable solution over the phone. I felt that Stavros took responsibility for the quality of their product. Despite the problem, I was very happy with Stavros.
