Steve was very responsive to providing an estimate and ensuring I understood what the options were. Once I hired Stavros, they provided and estimated date for the work. Given the state of my lawn, I was pleased when they were able to perform the work several weeks earlier than promised. When i came home my front lawn looked so smooth, it looked like it had been graded and carpeted. After this, Steve was very patient, taking my calls regarding the care for my newly seeded "dirt", and making sure it was growing properly. I would recommend them to anyone.

Met Steve the first time to get estimate/ideas. They came back and removed trees so work on outside of house could be done by another company. Then the rest of the work was completed in one day. Steve was excellent and very helpful and informative and instructive on how to continue to care for the lawn after initial work was done. They were very flexible with the scheduling due to other housework being done and weather issues. Several weeks after work was done, we called with concerns about lawn not growing well; Steve came back out to check on lawn, put out more seed, and left us further instructions; no additional charges. Steve was always quick to respond to questions, give quotes, offer advice, and was never pushy.

A portion of my yard around the garage and back fence had become overgrown with weeds and some dead weeds were piled behind the garage. I tried to pull them up but was clearly not getting to the roots, so I called this company and they came out and cleared all of the weeds both living and dead. I was so pleased with the speed and thoroughness and now I can actually see my garage!

This company was easy to get in touch with and draw up the plans. I worked with Steve and he was here for the installation, they came at eight and left at twelve. He was great at letting us know all the details and helping us understand the plans. This company was great to work with.

They were excellent: the workmanship, the quality of work, the fact that they showed up on time and they stayed with the job until it got done, from early morning to dark. I would hire them again.

They are very responsive and explain things. They fixed the wall and it looks much better, but it didn't cure the drainage problem like we hoped it would.

I called to tell Stavros that our leaves were mostly down and they should come when they can to pick them up. They told me they would be out in the next week to two weeks and that they would get all of the leaves, including those on our roof. They showed up two days later and had a man up on our roof with a blower to get all of those leaves off of our roof. They then started at the back of our property and blew all of the leaves around our house and out to the street where they loaded all of them in their truck. All of this took approximately one and one half hours and they left our property clean.

He didn't bring topsoil. It looked more like river silt. He filled in holes and planted grass seed. The first rain we had, everything washed away. I told him about the problem and he wanted another $1000 to redo the job. I purchased pete moss so he could plant the trees in the pete but when the job was finished, the pete moss was in the garage and he had planted the trees in clay. 7 of the 8 trees have died since they were planted. He said the best he could do would be to remove the trees.

He was so nice to work with and even offered to come back in the spring if we still have a problem. His word is genuine and I would recommend him.

I have one word to say how it went with Stavros Landscape & Lawn service......AWESOME.I was impressed with the crew and the whole experience. I liked that they hosed off the siding and gutters from the leaf crud. I will definitely use them again.

Everything went very good. I was very pleased with this company. My only problem is one area didn't reseed well. SO I called them and the gentleman in charge came back out and added more seed to the area at no extra charge.

The entire job ran smoothly, and the work completed was great! They exceeded my expectations!

The job went very well. I got a telephone estimate from Mr. Stavros which was much lower than that of others (one of whom said "We just dump and leave."). They delivered on time, with a phone call alerting us the night before. My estimate of the volume of soil needed was on the low side, but they had brought enough along to make up the difference. Some of the soil was a bit high in clay, but it was better than my existing soil, so that wasn't a big problem. They worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves quite well. All in all, it was a positive transaction.

Overall, it was great. Stavros has been the only small company I've worked with as I've been fixing up my new home who has been incredibly responsive, on time, returns phone calls immediately. I'm very impressed with that. It was one reason I chose them (after reading many Angie's List comments). I also chose them because I read he works very hard, gives you more than you ask, and gets it all done quickly. All true. His quote was about $2,000 more than my second highest quote, which frustrated me, but I chose them for their reputation and swallowed the price. Impressive operation how they come charging in very early in the morning with, it seemed, at least 10 workers, who were at it all day long. My contact came about two weeks ahead and reviewed my plan with me. He didn't really like my plan, but we seemed to agree on my desire for an organic, natural, cottage looking front yard. He suggested some replacements (which afterwards I didn't like). He had a quote to me two days later and followed up after. We set a date for 2 weeks later and he showed up right on time. It was easy. He was here very early with his crew, stayed, left, and returned to work/check work. Some frustration is my fault. I reduced the price by about $1,500 by cutting things back, but then he showed up with things in his truck that he thought I should include (potentially a sales gimmick, don't know). I bit and I lost all that savings. In the end, it's very nice, but very linear, a few items I wouldn't have chosen, and doesn't have that "cottage" feel I wanted. I won't use him again only because it was a bit high priced and the reality vs. our conversation weren't the same, though it is very lovely and most others would like it a lot!

Left a message on the business answering machine. Received a call within a reasonable time frame and had an appt. set soon thereafter. Steve came out on a Friday afternoon, listened well to what we wanted and made additional suggestions(e.g. burying and extending the downspouts, type of shrubs, plants; included in the estimate a price for doing one part in stone or with mulch and talked through the pros and cons of each option). He took pictures and promised to have the estimate to us by Monday. The estimate was late but there was a reasonable explanation for this and it gave us an opportunity to add a small change. Liked Steve immediately. Appreciated his suggestions. His estimate was a bit higher than we'd hoped. Probably would have used this service anyway, but just before making a decision we were blessed with the knowledge of termite damage which took a good bit of our change to repair.

Great. I scheduled the removal about a week before Thanksgiving. I have a lot of trees and leaves so I knew it was a big job. They did a great job, and I was relieved that I didn't have to rake this year.

I have been dealing with Stavros for about 8 years. Karli does the estimates. Her husband, Steve does the work. I had them landscape a new pool that was installed this spring. I told Karli what I wanted and she then made some suggestions that made better sense. They called the day before to let me know they would be here. The landscaping looks wonderful. Everyone who has seen it has commented on how beautiful it is.
