It was a very long process, primarily b/c I was very involved in plant selection, but it went very well. Steve, the owner, is great to work with... He is very easy to talk to, answering all my questions and never making me feel like I was wasting his time or being too hands-on. His crew of seven were great. They were very courteous, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. We had a few minor issues w/some of the plants after the fact and Steve came right out to deal with it. I thought a few of the plants were small for the price, but I believe that probably had more to do with the timing of our project (ie what was left at the nursery in June vs April or May) than anything. I was very happy with the service and would recommend Stavros to anyone.

My yard looks fantastic. The new bushes are easy to care for and open up the front of the house instead of blocking it off like the yews did. Steve Stavros listened to what I wanted for my yard and made excellent recommendations. His crew worked quickly and cleaned up all their mess. They even weeded my beds while they were here. The re-landscaping of my yard has been spread over several years and Stavros Lawn Service has done it all. Brian Ray has worked along with the project and installed irrigation at every step.

He was very quick to respond to come out and quote the job. Also was great in following up. Unfortunately, the quote was very overestimated in materials, and felt I had to negotiate down many of the items quoted. He appeared somewhat flexible in working the quote, but ultimately did not show the level of understanding for this job like the contractor that was eventually chosen. The quality assessment only refers to his quote, not his work, which I cannot attest to. The winning contractor typed up the quote in detail exactly as requested; Stavros and others did not (handwritten). Minor point, but it made a difference.

They came very promptly and did a beautiful job even though part of it is quite steep.

I used this company initially several years ago to create new gardens and have used them since then to rototill. This year I added the request for new/better soil in two of the gardens. They do a good job, but I think the price for rototilling is quite high. However, I haven't found a better/cheaper option.

I am very pleased with them. I use them twice a year--leaf removal in the fall, and last week for mulching.

I have spoken with the manager about some repair work to be done on a hill, and I was very impressed with him. I have been pleased with this company so far. Their price is much more reasonable than the last person I used.

They were very quick to respond to my initial call and were able to give me an detailed and itemized estimate within a few days of my call. Because I was having the beds edged, they required the utilities to be marked and as soon as I had that completed, they called to let me know they would perform the work the following day. They arrived the next morning as scheduled, beautifully edged the beds and installed the mulch. My yard looks great!

As soon as the winter weather improved, Staros came and removed all the leaves from lawn and flower beds. They were careful and thorough.

I'm happy with their service. There were a few small details I called him back about. He was prompt in his reply and resolving the issues.

I called to get an estimate on fall leaf removal and someone was at my house within days to provide it. The price was excellent considering I have an ENOURMOUS yard. The job was done even sooner than expected, and the crew did an EXCELLENT job. Every leaf from my yard, landscaping, deck, and bushes was GONE. I will definitely use Stavros again and again.

They are responsive when there is an issue. We are using them now as we have a snow removal contract. We also do leaf removal in the fall with them.

Everything looked fine. I didn't know what day they were coming, but one day I came home from work and they had completed the job. I actually thought the quote was only for our main perennial garden, but they also did the small areas at the front and back of the house. It was great!

Within just a few days, Steve showed up with some major earth-moving equipment and a team of workers, completing the entire project in a single day. In order to get the equipment to the work site, they had to remove portions of our backyard fence which they later replaced. Even areas of lawn that had been damaged by some of the equipment, they re-seeded before they left. All the workers worked hard, non-stop and were professional in every way. When I came home, outside of a beautiful lakefront, there was no evidence that anyone had been there. Steve did inform me right from the beginning, that the actual cost might exceed the initial estimate. It was impossible to know exactly how many tons of rip rap would be required until the project was underway. He also gave me a top range estimate. The actual cost came in below that top range estimate.

I had a very good experience with them and the quality of work was good. The only problem I had with them was that the workers were Mexican and one of them wanted to use our bathroom. I wasn't comfortable with that. They shouldn't allow their workers to ask such things to their customers. We couldn't get them quickly because it was a holiday, but once they came in they didn't leave until they finished the work.

Showed up on time, very good crew and worked until the job was completed in the early evening. Site was immaculate after they left.

Great, I have been using them for a few years now and they do a wonderful job. The crew is always on time and professional. They try to send the same crew each time, so they can get a feel for how you want things done. Whenever there is a problem, Steve always makes it right.

He was very good, and everything was absolutely perfect. His price was very good, and he said that he could get it done quickly. I checked him out with a couple of other lawn care guys. He showed up on time. He went over a plan, and I told him a couple of extra things I wanted done. I wanted a crab apple tree taken out, and he did that at a reasonable price of $200.

They did a great job. They were on time. They cleaned up everything very well. Stavros, the owner would come by everyday to check the work. I was impressed he treated his employees well.
