It was a very large project and it took them approximately 8 hours to cut the tree down and haul all the debris away. I was amazed at how well it went and how the area looked after they were done. Steve and his crew were to come another day to grind the stump and roots that had made my backyard impossible to walk in without tripping.

I have used Stavros for years and am always pleased by the results. I trust Steve when he says something needs to be done. His crew does a marvelous job and they are quick and efficient.

Everything went very well. They did the job excellently, stuck to their estimate, and charged a fair price for the work. I am completely satisfied with the results. They were also very responsive and repaired a minor sodding issue without hesitation.

Everything was okay. They are very friendly people. I had some problem with couple of flowers that looked like that they weren’t doing right and they came out the very next day and fixed it right. I would rate them high overall. Their price was bit expensive. Their quality was good. I would use them again in the future.

They did very well! They even cleaned up afterwards. The guys were prompt in arrival and did the work quickly.

They arrived early on a Friday morning to install the underground drainage, prep the beds and install the mulch. When I went outside to check on them, my dogs locked me out of the house so I had to use a phone to call my husband to let me in. While I was outside waiting for him, they asked if I wanted to have some of the plants/bushes trimmed and gave me a quote to do so. I went ahead and had that done as well. I've hired them in the past for the mulch installation and am always pleased with their work. They are very professional and the yard always looks great when they're finished!

Stavros sent a team of men out to clean up our large property, rip out years of difficult weeds and growth and fix our lawn. They pruned, trimmed, mulched, ripped out and shaped our hedges and bushes. They were very knowledgeable and left some better plants intact. These men came on time, worked very hard all day, were very courteous and left our place looking like a show property in one day. They did some extras for us last minute and pointed out some things they could do that day to improve our original plan. They went beyond our expectations. We are so impressed and couldn't be happier! We give them the highest recommendation.

Rather than re-inventing the wheel, I will insert the text of an e-mail that I just sent to a neighbor, who after seeing the lawn this year, asked who did the renovation last Fall. Obviously, a recommendation to neighbor and friend speaks volumes about my satisfaction. The lawn service we used, was Stavros'. I found them in Angie's List. They had a great rating. Steve Stavros is the owner. I can't say enough about Steve's personal care. He responded to my initial call by stopping by the house within a few hours of the call. He had a gang of workers and equipment descend upon the yard, but he was on site supervising. They applied grub killer, reseeded the bare spots (where the raccoon's desodded looking for grubs) and applied erosion control netting on the hills. They also installed mulch and as you mentioned, they core aerated and over seeded. Because of recovering from surgery, I also had them mow, remove the leaves, and trim the shrubs up front. All-in-all they did a superb job and Steve did a great job orchestrating all the work, including his folks and the sprinkler folks. If Steve were a Doctor, I would say that he has a great bedside manner -- very affable, knowledgeable and dedicated to doing a good job. I just called him regarding setting up a fertilizer program. I couldn't recommend him more!!!

Outstanding and very cost effective.

They are honest and I really like them.

They were very careful and that they were taking out the right trees. They sent a guy out and took pictures. He then sent an e-mail to make sure and verify what trees/bushes I wanted removed. He asked me to put a ribbon on the exact tree/bush that was to be removed as well. The trees were next to power line and they had to turn off the power to safely remove the trees, but it was turned back on the same day and it was very brief interruption. They were prompt and came when they were supposed to. They also did an excellent job of grinding down the stumps and removing roots that stuck out of the ground. They also had done a beautiful job with their cleanup. You couldn't tell there had been anyone working in my yard.

We were very satisfied. They were prompt and were on top of things. They got back to us in a timely manner.

They mowed the yard all last summer. They did a great job and we are going to use them again this year. If we wanted them to do something extra, they would do that. We didn't want them cutting the grass or blowing the leave on our patio and we told them and it wasn't a problem. They did it, which we appreciated. The price was excellent. We didn?t have a set time and they set their own schedule. The people in the office were very professional. We will absolutely use them again.

They performed the work. The grass grew then died. I re-seeded myself the following year, same result. Finally, I had the "so-called" premium topsoil tested that Steve sold me. The lab reported that it was not topsoil, but a clay/sand mix that would not support grass. I complained and Stavos offered to re-seed IF I BOUGHT THE SEED. I am looking for another supplier. Stavos can do the labor, but I recommend that you do not buy any product from them.

They are on Angie's list. They were very professional. Once they knew what had to be done, they were in and out and made sure that the job was done right. It was amazing. They cut down trees and did everything. I would recommend them. They were competitive on their price. I will keep working with them in future.

Stavros Lawn Service did very good work. I like how they respected the environment. They used environmentally friendly technology and didn't damage the root structure of any of our trees. The workers were attentive to their foreman's directions.

They whole yard looked terrific after they were done. It had a huge improvement. It was so much better that I couldn?t believe it. They came when they said they were going to some.

They were very professional and thorough. They came out when they said they were going to. They had a big crew with them and the right equipment so they got the job done quickly.

They took out lots of vines, brought in a lot of dirt to make it level, planted the seed, and put rocks on outer edges of lawn. They also took down a couple of trees and hauled them off. It was an excellent job! Most of the time they had 10 people working and all of them were actually working. Steve Stavros, the owner, was on site most of the time and they were all very professional. I would highly recommend them.

I have hired Stavros to do similar work in the past (prep and mulch beds, end-of-season maintenance). This year I just couldn't keep up the weeding. When I called to schedule the appointment they said it would probably be a week or two before they would be able to come. They left a couple of messages to let me know their schedule. I could tell they had been there when I got home from work because all of the weeds were gone. They do an excellent job, and I think the price is reasonable. I would definitely hire them again (and probably will in the Spring to do the mulching).
