Tim S., who oversaw construction, is fantastic! He texted me frequently to let me know what was going to be happening and when. We wanted the construction completed before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, as our summer activities revolve around the lake behind our house. The company adhered to the date and were finished with inside work on the Friday before Memorial Day. The room is our favorite in our home. We have been eating all meals there and relaxing with a book or watching tv. We couldn't be more pleased. A whole new living space was created in a timely, pleasant manner. The construction crew members are shown on the Greg Spivey website, so there don't seem to be so many subcontractors as on some projects. The carpenters and handyman are hardworkers and do an excellent job. Electricians and heating/cooling specialists, dry wall hangers, and tile layers were super! Frankly, the construction did not cramp our living style at all. They were somewhat invisible and allowed us to go on with our daily routines. The whole process was such a positive experience. We are just winding up a few details and the project will be complete! Thank you Greg Spivey and Tim Steill!
Description of Work: Our screened porch was completely removed and replaced with a 4-seasons room. A foundation was poured, hand-dug due to where it was located. The existing roof was maintained. The adjoining patio is brick; part of the patio had to be taken up in order to allow construction to take place. It is to be replaced now that construction is completed. A tile floor was laid, a heating-cooling system was installed, radiant heat was put under the floor, all electric lines were run, including cable for a wall tv.

Mr. Spivey was very professional in his approach. He brought well thought out plans in his estimate, and had excellent ideas. Hos working crew was courteous as well. They cleaned up after themselves and took care of our existing areas. Overall, the job was well done and we are quite please with the results. However, there were a few minor issues that were left undone. These include a door that doesn't latch and a loose hinge on a cabinet door. I would use his services and would not hesitate to recommend him as well.

Greg Spivey came to the house and he and I went over everything that needed done. He suggested replacing the tub with a shower and making the shower wider since we had the space. He came back later with a contract and we sat down and went over everything in the contract. Work began about a week or so after signing the contract since a new shower floor and walls had to be ordered as well as sliding glass doors. I was not home when they actually started, but made arrangements for the men to get into the house. When I got home, there were rubber mats in the kitchen and plastic on the carpet , down the hall and up the stairs and a trailer for dumping the debris parked in the driveway. I appreciated them protecting my floors. This stayed down a couple of weeks until the job was finished. (The floor covering and the trailer were in the contract so this was not a surprise) Each of the different subs that Spivey uses all left the work area clean. We had carpenters, a dry waller, plumbers, flooring and glass door installers in the house and they all left the job site clean. Tim was very good about letting me know who would be coming to the house and about what time they would arrive. I was very pleased with all the work that was done and would definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: Spivey Remodeling removed a leaking whirlpool tub in an upstairs bathroom, replaced the floor under the tub and the ceiling of the bathroom below. A shower replaced the tub, I decided to replace the entire bathroom floor which they did. I also had a glass sliding door replaced in another upstairs bathroom.

We were able to do this job because of Angie's List and our reviews on Angie's List. What a great system matching potential clients with good contractors. This was a straight forward job; replace an outdated 1980 shower tub combo with a new marble shower. This was the farthest I had ever laid floor protection to get to the actual project. The people could not have been nicer and more trusting with our crew.

This is our 3rd remodeling project completed by Spivey, and the first to include exterior work. One part of the design was a bay window-like build-on structure (with footer) added to the front of our house, plus a wood floor over the whole interior room, with some new wood trim, as an enlargement and upgrade to our dining room. A building permit was required which was totally handled by Spivey. We designated the window choice, which slowed the project waiting on delivery. Fortunately for us, Project manager, Tim Steill did the expediting for the window delivery even though it had been our choice. The cost of the windows and installations were already a calculated part of the contract. A concurrent phase of this project was to add a front entry porch with new concrete base to the house. Drawings of the additions were provided by Spivey prior to start-up. The construction of the porch followed the same good practices we have learned to expect from Spivey. Both additions which are side-byside, affect the front appearance of our home. We are well pleased with the finish results, and have had many compliments. All costs, including the windows, roofing, gutters, new wood floor, wood wall trim, concrete slab (also with footer), some electrical and plumbing, were included in the quote. Final cost was according to the estimate/contract and minor changes were made without issue. For this project we had the same team of people doing the work as our earlier remodels using Spivey. This is nice as we already had a relationship with the people and knew things would be completed correctly. To sum-up, the primary reason we continue to choose Spivey for our remodeling is that we feel that the work will be done right, and in a manner where we have no worry about the finished product.
Description of Work: Room extension addition added onto front of house to increase size of dining room. Also added entry porch to front door of house which had none before.

This makes me very happy with my team.the first project we did with these people they got five bids.We got the project not by price but that we were the only contractor that figured out a beam in the basement was necessary to support a wall removal on the first floor. The second and third projects they just called us.I am looking forward to #4. They are super people to work for.

Greg Spivey and his crew were top-notch from start to finish. Greg handled the initial project bid and planning, and we selected Spivey as our contractor based on the competitive price and professional experience. The overall project bid was a bit more than we had planned to spend, so Greg was helpful in letting us control the project scope and taking on most of the finish work ourselves to keep costs down. Once we started working with the Spivey crew, Tim was our day-to-day project manager. He coordinated all of the sub-contractor and kept things on-task. Nearly every project experiences unexpected delays and complications, but Tim was able to mitigate most of the issues that arose during our project. The project came in on-budget and only about a week later than our original completion target date. We were pleased with our experience with Greg Spivey Remodeling, and would hire them again for any major home remodeling project.
Description of Work: My wife and I hired Greg Spivey Remodeling to serve as the general contractor for the master suite remodel of our historic home. Spivey Remodeling was responsible for implementing the plan that we developed with our architect, which included not only the major overhaul of our master bathroom, but also the demolition of the old staircase to the 3rd floor attic and installation of a new staircase in a new location.

Like any major scale construction on an old house, we came across issues with our project from beginning to end. Greg Spivey came out to the house to meet us in person. He appeared to be very honest and down to earth. He gathered ideas from us and then returned with a written proposal including a very well hand-drawn picture of the ideas he had to help us meet our needs. We didn't like some of the glitches in the first proposal, so he took our thoughts and returned a second time rearranging the drawing and adding in a pantry and another bathroom, which all ended up being more practical. We discovered after the contract was signed that our barn was in a flood zone. We were expecting twins and needed the added space within months. The wait for a variance would have kept us from getting the permit to add on quickly, so Spivey offered a contractor to get rid of the dilapidated barn for minimal price add-on. After construction began, we were very impressed with the people that worked with Spivey, especially the foreman, the framer/siding contractor, the tile contractors and their carpenter. They were incredibly accommodating to changes we wanted, paid strict attention to details, and didn't need babysitters. We both felt very safe leaving the house open to Spivey and his various contractors while we were away at work. Our toddler believed the siding contractor was her grandfather and looked forward to seeing him and sharing stories every day she saw him. Our project wasn't without its issues though. Spivey's demolition crew ran over a poorly placed sewer clean out causing a sewage block. His foreman and the plumbing contractor came out at an early hour on a weekend to fix it immediately after we noticed it. His drywall contractors left a mess almost every time they came. Spivey's foreman would come out the second we had a complaint and personally clean it up. One of the contractors left a ton of nails in the driveway. Spivey's foreman came out and cleaned that up, even offering to pay for a damaged tire if that should happen. In the end, despite the issues, it felt like probably one of the smoother construction projects that we'd ever seen or heard of from friends and family. We were overwhelmed and confused by so many bathroom and design choices at the hardware stores. Spivey personally offered to come out with us to help pick tiles, sinks, and other amenities. During our final walk through, we could hardly believe the transformation to our old ranch house. We couldn't imagine having moved out when now it seemed not just livable, but an enjoyable place to live.
Description of Work: Built on an additional master bedroom and bathroom to the house; demolished 2 existing bathrooms and created 3 bathrooms- a jack and jill, a small guest bathroom and a master bathroom; added a pantry and a laundry room; and walled off and created a new door to a trap door basement. Kids closets were also made larger. They were responsible for all permitting and assisted us in removing an old barn that would've kept us from a permit for the construction.

We started the planning on this project last winter, the project was in two stages first we added a jack and Jill bath between two existing bedrooms, when that was finished we moved the family to that end of the house with the parents sleeping in the living room. They slept in the living room until the day we finished the project. The next step was to demo the balance of the house to re configure the space while adding a large addition. This was major disruption for the family, they proceeded with smiles on there faces. To do a project this involved and still be talking and texting about the new twins is why we are in this business I rank this client in my top five.I am thankful to have had them as my customer and friend.

The project quote included allowances for floor tile, backsplash tile and a granite selection. We easily found what we wanted within the allowances and had no extra cost surprise. The suppliers for these items seem to be well known to Spivey and pre-selected based upon their working good relationships. We were very satisfied by the help provided from these suppliers and Greg Spivey came to assist with our granite choice which provided a level of confidence based to his much greater level of experience. For other work provided the Project Manager concept works very well with us. The project manager Tim Steill, was accessible and we freely communicated by cell and texts, and in person for scheduling various phases of the work. The people that came to our house to do the preparation work were good to deal with and the finish people were quite well skilled and performed their work to our satisfaction. The finish carpenter is excellent. As this is the second project we have had completed by Spivey, we see some on the same people, and from a personal standpoint even enjoy having them back. We provided new appliances, which Spivey people either installed and moved into the kitchen as received or needed for installation For this project, our major concern was the floor and using 18 inch tile which requires a pretty solid underlayment to prevent later tile separation issues. The completed floor is definitely solid, and no shortcuts were taken in preparation or finish. In summary, we felt and feel now that the work that Spivey had performed is and will be done correctly, and we do not need to be concerned about the results.
Description of Work: Greg Spivey remodeled our kitchen including removing existing floor down to original sub-floor, and installing new underlayment and adding 18" square tile for new flooring. Also install same in hallway to great room and in a half bath. Installed granite counter-tops, stainless sink, garbage disposal, and new brushed stainless faucet. Removed and replace drywall behind backsplashes which were then covered by new ceramic tile. Replaced baseboards, and installed new oak shoe moulding. This was done around existing cabinets which were retained. Also installed new ceiling fan and vent in half bath which required installing new drywall ceiling. This is our second project performed by Spivey and we have been very satisfied with both. Commenting on price, we chose Spivey to to the work not as the low bidder, but on the basis of the suggestions provided to make the work structurally sound, aesthetically appealing and long-term, as it is our intention to remain in our home.

It was an outstanding experience. They did an excellent job. One of the owners came in and worked with us in terms of the details that we wanted. He did a very good job of coming up with a proposal and a reasonable price. His partner, Tim, ran the job and he was also outstanding. There were around 10 contractors involved. Tim did a great job organizing everything and keeping it flowing smoothly. I would recommend anyone in need of remodeling to go with this company.

Greg Spivey Remodeling demonstrated a high level of knowledge and quality of workmanship during the entire renovation of our home (from September 2012 to January 2013). The renovation project covered virtually all rooms of the home (2000 sf). Greg Spivey was specific and detailed throughout the process. Thus, we had no surprises and the work met our expectations. Also, the quality of the work performed by Greg Spivey's staff was of high quality.
Description of Work: IN the fall of 2012, we purchased an existing home. Greg Spivey Remodeling was engaged to renovate the entire inside of the home including the kitchen (cabinetry and counter tops and flooring), two bathrooms (same as kitchen), and to change a number of wall and door locations. Also, the company was contracted to replace the deck and stairs to the lake with Trex. During the several months of work, the company performed well and met our expectations for quality and professionalism and stayed within the budget. Changes to the contracted plans were also handled well.

we worked very well with this client, they were both business people that new what they wanted and what they expected the schedule to be.That schedule expectation was set at the meeting where we gave them the price for the project. The client wanted to go ahead with the project with one small hitch, they needed it started the next day to meet their move in date.My business partner and I both looked at each other and thought, we have never started a job with out selections being made and most selections in stock before we have began a typical project in the past. we had completed twelve projects in the neighborhood in prior years and didn't want to stop our string of clients. We also had a rare opportunity to adjust our schedule and crew availability. We agreed and started the next morning. The clients we very good at making quick selections. They were living a few blocks away but the timeline was ticking. They forgot to mention that we also added a sun room to the home that faces the lake. You may be asking yourself how could they have done all this for the price quoted in the report?Well that figure may have been missing a number or two."Dont want the neighbors knowing their business?" The project turned out very well and we did meet the tight schedule reasonably well, there were items we finished after they got settled in.Thanks Mr. and Mrs. client to have the faith in our ability to preform with just a referral from a trusted neighbor. Over all the service was OUTSTANDING. Out of the five other remodeling companies that were called only two really listened to what we really needed or wanted and did exactly what we asked. Greg Spivey remodeling got our vote due to the detail that was taken in what we wanted. Secondly, Greg the owner of the company came to the house and explained everything himself instead of sending some salesman who did not have the answers to our questions on the spot. He explained in great detail what they would be doing and what we would be getting for our money. The project started right on time when they said it would. All of the trades were scheduled seamlessly so that there was no gap and some work was always being done. The project was completed on time well within the timeline promised. More importantly it was right on budget. The project price did go over but that was only do to some things that we added that were in addition to the original quote. One thing that we wanted was that the house looked original both inside and outside. Greg Spivey Remodeling was able to match the roofline and bricks so well that it is very very difficult to see what is new and what is old. Tim worked very hard to find new brick that matched the old. They re used brick from the old part of the house to make the seam virtually un noticeable. Greg, Tim, and the rest of the crew are very personable and flexible. They are a tight group who have been working together for many years. That relationship came through in the quality of work that they all did. They all made the difficult task of living through a messy remodel much easer. They installed a plastic zipper door that kept 90% of the mess out of the areas we were still living in. Tim even came by on a saturday or sunday to run the shop vac and clean up. It was the pride in work and attention to detail that set Greg Spivey Remodeling apart. It was also nice dealing first hand with the owners of the company who stopped by several times on weekends just to make sure things were still going well. Overall we can not say enough good things about Greg Spivey Remodeling. We liked the crew so much that that we knew them all by name. We had no problem trusting them to work in our house when we were not home. They were all the kind of people you would want to have over for dinner. We would recommend this company to anyone and would love to have them work in or on our home again.
Description of Work: We needed extra room so that we could start a family. We had a small 1200 sq foot house that was built in the early 60s. We added one large bedroom and expanded the size of two existing bedrooms. This required matching an existing roof line as well as 50 year old brick. In all we added a little over 400 sq feet and updated the trim and doors of the existing house to match the new. The remodel reconfigured parts of the inside rooms which allowed an open flow to the new areas that appeared original. We also gained a large walk in closet in each of the bedrooms which is a nice feature for a house this age. We had them replace an existing window in our master so that it matched the new construction windows. The project required foundation, masonry, framing, roofing, drywall, electrical, HVAC and insulation. The project did require painting but we opted to do that part ourselves.

I Thank you very much for the very nice comments. These clients were a young couple expecting there first child. They new they needed to move or expand the existing home.Mr home owner had built a large pole barn i.e. (Man cave) five years prior and didn't want to loose it or the large property they currently live on.That is where we stepped in,Greg Spivey Remodeling main objective when doing a project is that the project doesn't look like it was added to the home( it looks original). We make every effort to ease the daily disruption of the remodeling process with our likeable and friendly crews and company procedures. I would rate this client an A plus, they were great to work with.Greg Spivey Remodeling has just signed a bedroom addition this week for a friend and co worker of this client, this is what it is all about and why we love this business.I have to thank my employees and longtime crew members to make these results happen.
Greg and the project manager, Tim Steill, met with us prior to the start of the project to discuss the plans for the project. The demolition portion of the project was done within two weeks time. The drywall portion of the work was also completed in a short period of time. Mike, who did the tile installation, did a good job on the floor tile. The carpenter, Tim, does very nice work and that is why we decided to go ahead with the extras (replacing our old fireplace mantel and the column in the entry.) The team works well together and communicates well. The project was a major undertaking, but worth the price. Carpeting and painting was not included with the pricing, but they recommend companies to obtain those services. One problem that occurred was after the removal of the wall, the TV cable and land phone line was cut to the master bedroom upstairs. We had to hire a company that does telphone wiring to go into the attic and connect to the phone jack in the master bedroom. We purchased the cable for the TV and with help from our son was able to get service back to that room. We deducted those smaller costs from the final check. The main reason we hired Greg Spivey was that in the quote was the extra support beam that was installed in the basement for managing the load after the wall removal. Also, we read many of the reviews on Angie's List and many of Greg's customers are repeats. That made us feel more confident in choosing them. We will hire them again.
Description of Work: We hired Greg Spivey Remodeling to remove the wall between the living room and family room in our home. Greg Spivey came to our home to do the estimate and of the 5 companies that we had provide estimates, his was the only quote that included having a support post anchored in the basement to support the main floor. The job started in September and included installing a post in the basement, which was anchored into the basement floor. This work involved rolling back the existing carpeting and padding in the finshed portion of the basement and cutting through the wood subflooring. All carpeting and padding from both the two former rooms was removed. Some subflooring had to be replaced to even the surface for the new carpet. Temporary wall supports were placed on either side of the wall that was to be removed. Then the wall was removed and the duct work for the heating/cooling system was rerouted to the upstairs of our home through two structures on opposites sides of the room. A beam was placed along the ceiling between the two structures and a curved arch decorates the beam. Drywall was placed to build columns where the HVAC was rerouted. We had some drywall replaced where an old bookcase had been and replaced the insulation along that same wall. We also placed insulation in the wall between the new room and a half bathroom. After the drywall was completed, wood framework was placed around the top and base of the columns. A wood column was built around the support in the basement. We also ask for additional flooring nails to be added before the carpeting was installed to avoid some of minor squeaks and to date, we have not found any floor squeaks. Additionally, we replaced the tile in our entry and added a row of tile around our firplace and at our back door to the garage. After seeing the skills and craftmanship of the carpenter, Tim, we added some additional enhancements added including a new wood mantel for our fireplaceand a decorative column at the entry. We also had a new door installed at our back door to the garage.

We are completely satisfied. Greg Spivey was excellent to work with and we especially appreciated that his own workers and the outside contractors he used were all completely professional, courteous, and good guests while working in our home. This was a good group and we never worried when we could not be present. We believe they were meticulous in doing things right.
Description of Work: Our bathroom was dated and not efficient. it was decided to expand our fairly large bathroom into a normal size bathroom plus a smaller half bath nearer our family room. We also used part of an adjacent bedroom closet for a large walk in shower. This was a complete remodel. The floor was taken up; the walls moved with new walls comstructed; new doorway for the main bath plus a new doorway for the newer half bath; new plumbing for the new double vanity and both toilets, which were moved; new plumbing for the shower. Nothing stayed. We used the Tile Shop and found Linda in particular to be an excellent resource. The floors and shower areas were natural tile. We used Fergusons for all the fixtures. And a double vanity was used from Restoration Hardware.Greg's original quote was realistic but at certain junctures we decided on up-grades or enhancements so the final higher cost was on us.

Greg listened carefully and provided keen insights into the approach and design of our renovation projects, but was flexible with our personal requests during the projects. The contract negotiations were straight-forward, and the costs (as well as discounts) were clear. Project management by Tim Steill was top-notch! In fact, Tim was always accessible, friendly and accommodating. It was obvious that he was well-respected by the whole team. The overall workmanship was outstanding. Everyone who assisted with the projects was highly skilled, polite and professional. Meticulous care was taken to keep the renovation dust/debris contained to the work areas. And, daily clean-up was typically fastidious. Despite the winter scheduling, the project clipped along at a remarkable pace. Overall, our two wonderful bathroom remodeling projects were completed ON TIME and exceeded our expectations (which were very high!). We've received many compliments from family and friends! Now we are thoroughly enjoying the master bathroom done in neoclassical style with carrara marble and blue granite, as well as the Zen guest bathroom with the beautiful travertine walls, honey onyx counters and sinks, and stunning onyx insets. This is actually the second large remodeling project that Greg Spivey Remodeling has done for us! The other project was an addition of a third car garage bay several years ago. That, too, was exceptionally well done. We would highly recommend Greg Spivey and his very experienced team.
Description of Work: 1) Complete Master Bathroom Renovation in neoclassical style with carrara mable walls and flooring, and blue granite counters and highlights 2) Complete Guest Bathroom Renovation in "zen" style with travertine stone walls and translucent honey onyx counters and highlights

very nice people to work with,This was our 2nd remodel for them.We try to keep the job organized with all critical selections done prior to the start of the job.The project can then run at a good pace.We have been blessed to keep the same crews working year after year which really helps with expectations set by our company to the crew.Keeping our site clean is a priority with walking pads and plastic enclosures reset on a daily basis. I thank this client for the continued use of our company,it was a pleasure to do two highly unique baths, they will both be on our web site to view
We started November 28 and the job continued all winter. I was in the house most of the time working in my home office. Much of the time I forgot they were there. No one needed supervision and there were no "by the ways" or "we might need to" No conflicts to resolve. They did exactly what they said they would do each step of the way. The construction was very elaborate, installing a base floor that was substantial, on the second floor. Extensive support beams were put in place. Walls built. Plumbing added. Cleanliness was very important to them and each day the work areas were cleaned before they finished for the day. Everyone was very professional.By the time we had finished, our 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1800 sq foot home became 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and approximately 2500 sq feet. One month later and we couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: We had no idea what we wanted to do when we began, but Greg Spivey, the designer and salesman, came to our home multiple times and walked us through the job. He took us through it from start to finish. We even had a computer mock up made to show us what it would look like when the job was finished.Tim Stiell was the contractor in charge. It was his job to supervise the second story that was added BELOW the roof in our condominium including adding a central stairway. An additional 700 sq ft was added providing a master bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet. Electricity and plumbing redone. Kitchen 100% remodeled.Walls between rooms were removed downstairs. Tim handled it all and there was nothing for me and my husband to do except get out of the way and pick out colors, materials, and appliances.

This was a unique project building a second floor master suite where there was only attic space before. The client worked from home and was always available for questions. They had a huge dog that worked along with us and sometimes shared our crews lunches. It has been a month since the project was over and I truly miss this family.

We were thrilled with the team's work. Tim was our project manager and I couldn't have asked for a better one. He was very responsive to our requests, and if there was a problem it was attended to immediately. they contracted out several parts but everyone was professional and reliable. They were always cleaning up and trying to minimize the disruption as much as possible. I would definitely recommend them for a remodel project, and I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We had Greg Spivey's crew remodel two bathrooms, and then a partial remodel on a half bath. The two full bathrooms were complete remodels (all new except for the toliets and one tub). They did floor tile, bath tile, painting, electrical work, plumbing, and cabinetry.

This was a nice job,the house was about fifteen years old and was well taken care of but needed a little updating. We gave all three baths a facelift. The clients both worked away from home so most communication was done by email and text.We have been talking to them about a kitchen remodel in the months to come. Thank you The Greg Spivey Team

Work started January 11 and was completed on March 11th. Everything went very smoothly. I never would have thought there was anything that could be done to improve and expand our tiny kitchen, but they transformed it into my dream kitchen. We're very happy with the outcome.
Description of Work: Complete gut and remodel of kitchen including bump out of load-bearing wall, remove and level floor and ceiling. All new cabinets and counters. Also design and build of mantle in family room. This was our 3rd time using Greg Spivey. In 2003, we had them replace bay window with french doors leading to patio. In 2007 they remodeled our infinished basement. Top quality work!

This couple has been a pleasure to work with. The kitchen was our third project for them.we completed a sun room addition for his sister a few years back.We are not afraid of removing structure when doing a project especially a kitchen where the trend is to make it inviting to the adjacent areas of the house.our design team, computer draftsman, and structure people make it easy to create a new look in a older home.

Met with Greg Spivey on October 20th, 2011 at 11 am. We talked about what we wanted done to our house, he took some measurements and told me that he would contact me in about a week. That was the last time I heard from anybody at the company. This is VERY POOR business practice. I would not recommend this company.
Description of Work: No services performed, they did not even send us an estimate.

Went great...no real issues. No change orders. They did what they quoted for the amount they quoted it and got it done in less than the original timeframe. I have told friends about Greg and his crew and would recommend them to anyone. And I am not real easy to please.
Description of Work: Greg and his project manager, Tim, did a great job on our kitchen. We have a 50 yr old house that had a small galley kitchen and a dining room we really didn't use. They came up with a great, open plan that included knocking down a wall, moving a sink, new electrical, countertops, cabinets, duct work, etc. They got it all done in 2 months for the price they quoted. They were very professional, always were available to talk, etc. I work out of my home and they were very concientous about noise, clean up, etc. I would (and have) recommend them to anyone doing a remodel project. Good guys, great work and great value.

We met with Greg a couple of times to determine what we wanted, what options were available to accomplish those goals and to go over estimates. Greg was always on time, professional and very patient and accomodating. Once we had finalized the work we wanted, Tim took over the project itself. We were giving a list of things to pick out with suggested, not required, vendors. (i.e. hardware, light fixtures, flooring). Then Tim took care of all the subcontractors that had to come. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly. We only had problems with one sub-contractor. When we just mentioned it, Tim and the owner of the sub-contractors involved were out to see us and make right immediately. Tim and Greg were always available to us; very responsive and quick to answer any concerns. The project took a bit longer than we anticipated but part of the is the nature of the business and part of it was us making changes as we went along. I highly recommend Spivey Remodeling.
Description of Work: We put an addition on to our tri-level home. Our goal was a bigger master bedroom and bath. To accomplish that we also had to add onto the floor below so we added a storage room (with windows and utility sink) and a full bath onto the guest room. We also had an HVAC system installed as we had not previously had air conditioning.
