Problems, problems problems. First off the paint is excellent. The finished job was acceptable, but only after much complaining and finally getting their best detailer out to complete the job. The process was horrible. First was the repairs to trim and patching, that took multiple visits to complete due to mistakes and incomplete work and I had to buy the materials. Then the paint process. Instead of them suggesting we buy some samples to be sure the paint color was right, they gave us color charts. We picked a color we thought matched our current color. It didn't and cost us a $2,500 color change. The crew was very unprofessional and lacked detail. They left garbage around my property, overspray and cleaned up their paint on my property leaving piles of discarded paint on the ground under my trees. The key contact, Matt, was away on vacation and often times wasn't available to discuss prep or paint issues. They painted gutters that weren't supposed to be painted. The communications between the owners and their crew were bad. Crew, which mostly did not speak english did not want me to talk to them, so rework was often required. One day they walked off the job, before they even got to work because I wanted some areas fixed. All these problem delayed the job weeks. Good product, poor workmanship. No boss to come by and see problems or resolve problems. If I had to paint my house again, I would use the best solid wood stain or paint available (Consumer Reports), many which have a 25 year warranty and paid a good painting company to apply it.

They used that really thick paint and sprayed the house. They came out and sprayed it in one day and they clean up and then they try to see if there is any issues. They were really great and they are lot cheaper than the other company.

We are very happy with the finished product. The job very a difficult job. Only time will tell if the extra cost paid for the Ceramax coating over painting and a 25 year warranty will be worth it but we are very happy with Smart Coat. They worked very hard.

We have previously had our home painted every 2-3 years by random painting companies. Smart Coat came out to show us their product and how we would never have to paint again. So far they are correct and we LOVE it! Our house looks just as good as the day they finished the job. Smart Coat created our new home color since we were wanting to change it from the previous color. The crew came out on the day they promised and were finished in the estimated completion time. The crew were very courteous, took care of covering all of our plants and windows, and were very pet friendly too! Smart Coat saw that there was weather damage to some of our cedar boards, windows, and roof areas. They repaired and/or replaced any damaged areas. We wish we would have gone with Smart Coat to begin with and save ourselves time, money, and pointless paint jobs. Thank you to Smart Coat for making our home beautiful again!

They exceeded my expectations in every way. Although the initial contact was a bit hard sell, we did agree on a reasonable price for power washing, scraping, replacing rotten wood, caulking. priming, and putting a permanent coating on my home. The job involved 3 colors and lots of masking - they were meticulous! The crew was polite, knowledgable, respectful of my property, and kept me in the loop at all times. They went out of their way to protect my shrubs, and even replaced all the exterior light bulbs around my house that I couldn't reach. They cleaned and stained my pergolas at no extra cost and my house looks beautiful. Only time will tell if the coating will last 25 years, but I really have no doubt that if any problem arises, they will do any thing they can to make it right. I was hesitant to use a non-rated contractor, but decided to give them a try and I couldn't be happier with their work!
