Smalling Masonry is a small Family owned business. We are primarily a chimney restoration and Fireplace installer company. Once we complete your project, we will meet with you to walk through the project, answer any questions, make sure that you are satisfied with the quality of craftsmanship. We offer a 5% coupon if you mention Angi Member at the time of scheduling initial appt. May not be combined with other discounts.

Chimney and Fireplace Specialist - We do chimney inspection and sweeps! Masonry - chimney restoration, chimney rebuilds, brick replacement, brick sealing, chimney repair, chimney caps, crowns, and chase covers, outside mount caps, flashing repair, ice and water shield, tuck-pointing, brick, stone, or limestone. Fireplace - We do fireplace sweeps and inspection, fireplace repair, fireplace replacement, insert installation, prefab fireplace installation, masonry fireboxes, wood burning stoves, gas stoves, gas log sets, and more Relines - we do fireplace flue liner repair and replacements, as well has replace utility liners (furnace & gas water heater) Outdoor fireplaces and/or firepits

Description of Work: The Smalling team rebuilt our brick fireplace chimney and cement cap and corrected our brick step. First, Mr.Smalling responded immediately and kept updating us so that we new details of his schedule. The morning we were scheduled, they were on time.... Like a well organized team they moved in sync with each other. Each new their part in the plan. Work was beautiful, completed quickly and at a reasonable price.

Description of Work: Re-flashed our chimney that was poorly done by the previous roofing company. They were quick to schedule and made return visits to assure that the leaking was stopped at no extra charge. Excellent work, very Professional and very reasonably priced (nearly a third less than the roofing company). I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

Great. Gary and crew were super prompt. They provided me with a quote one day and returned the next day to do the work. It was a small job so they fit it in early in the day. They are coming back next week to some masonry work on our front steps.
Description of Work: Installed a new cap on our chimney and fixed a stuck damper taht hadn't been opened in at least eight years.

Smalling Masonry goes above and beyond. I?m very happy with their work. The fireplace insert seller had not put on work order that some of the stones needed reset so there was no material to do the work in the truck. Mr. Smalling came back the next day to set the stones. He didn?t question not having a work order, he made it right. The work area was keep clean and picked up. The old insert was a mess getting out as it was bad rusted but they keep it contained. We will have them back to seal the outside of the chimney, we asked about having it tucked and was told it didn?t need it.
Description of Work: Installed a fireplace insert and chimney liner replacing a 1975 insert. They made sure to protect the floor and keep work area clean. We had some loose stones that needed to be reset. We had asked about getting them set but was not on work order so they didn’t have the mortar mix with them. Mr. Smalling came back the next morning to fix the stones that goes above and beyond. I would recommend him to anyone needing masonry work.

It went great! They were flexible with the estimate and scheduling. Gary and Dave were awesome! They wore booties on their shoes, cleaned up after themselves, and explained everything I needed to know about my fireplace and chimney. I would highly recommend them!!

Estimate was done within a few days of my call and then work was done a couple weeks later - done when I was told it would be done. I had several other estimates, some of which told me I needed more than what I was told by Gary and a couple other people. He told me that I didn't need to replace the whole top crown, just to remove the old sealant and put on a new coat. It is hard for me to evaluate the quality of the work, since I will not be up on the chimney, but I will assume it was done properly. The only thing I don't know is whether Gary actually inspected the final product, since he was not the one who did the work, and I probably should have made sure he did so when he came to collect his check.
Description of Work: Re-sealed chimney crown and repaired some broken bricks in chimney, then sealed bricks.

Everything was excellent. I am very pleased with it. Gary Smalling, the gentleman who does the work, I thought he was very artistic with the stone and he put it in a visually pleasing pattern. Everyone who has seen it is very impressed by it. He went out of his way to make sure that everything was exactly what I wanted. At first I had picked out something else, but he told me that it would be more expensive. He made some suggestions of some other products I might want to look at and he was very helpful that way.
Description of Work: They took down an existing indoor fireplace facade and built a new one for me.
