Shu Renew Re-heeled a pair of Frye boots for me and did a great job. I have used them in the past and will continue to use them on my boots and business wear. A great job and a very fair price.

It went Very well. Just to let you know they use vibram for replacing the heel plate. Which is a strong long lasting material.. Where other would use a softer type of heel plate.. The most outstanding part is I just happen to be there just to check in on the repairs. They were finished but I did not have my ticket number on me. So I said that I will be back with the ticket number so they can find it easier. They advised me that "It would be no problem to find just write down what we worked on and we will find it". Then a few minutes later they came back with all my shoes even though they were in different spots in the store.

Went in early December to inquire if the soles of some very nice clogs could be repaired. After being told yes, I pre-paid by credit card and told it would be done in about a week and I would be called when they were finished. After hearing nothing, I called and was told they would need to special order some soles to fit these shoes and it would take at least another week. I called and they were ready approximately two weeks after taking the shoes in. The clogs were so tight that I couldn't begin to get them on. I was told no problem that they could be stretched, but please give Mykel another week. I went back in and they were stretched so far out on the sides that they now bulged out, but still were way too tight in the toe area. Mykel then said he would make it right and rebuild them at home, but he would need at least a week or so. From here, I called each week and was promised he would take them home to work on them since he was so busy at work. I was told for several weeks that they should be done by Thursday, then Friday, then no later than the weekend, then the next week. After weeks of Mykel trying to repair these, on a Wednesday I finally said if they aren't done and he was having trouble with the repair, to just stop the work and give me credit for the pre-pay. He said he didn't have the cash and to please not come until Friday when he would have the money. I reminded him I paid by credit card and to simply apply a credit. He said he didn't know if he could do this and would have to call the credit card company. I immediately went to pick up the unrepaired shoes and called the credit card company myself to dispute the charges. Mykel was able to apply the credit when I picked up my shoes. Although he did make several efforts to repair the clogs, I felt it took much longer than it should with many promises of being completed by certain dates and he should have come to a point earlier to just said he was not able to repair the shoes and be able to apply the credit without question.

I took the shoes in to Shu Renu on a Wed. or Thurs. The man was very pleasant. He promised they would be done the following Tues. I went to pick them up and they had been repaired beautifully. I am thrilled!

I first took the boot to Kimmel Shoe repair in Broad Ripple, where a haughty woman behind the desk informed me that it would take three weeks to repair the slide and would cost $17.00. She assured me it could not be done before that time, so I took my boot to Shu Renu. A very pleasant gentleman said the boot would be ready in five days and charged me $12.00. What a pleasant experience. Although Kimmel is much nearer my home, I will never go there again. Each time I have, it has been an unpleasant and expensive venture.

I decided to give them a try because of the previous reviews on Angie's List. When I brought my boots in, the gentleman was friendly and said my boots would be done the following Saturday. They said that they even would knock off some of the price because they can't guarantee that they can remove the water stains. I specifically asked if they would call me when they are done and he told me no. He said that they will be done by Saturday and if I want to call to be sure, I could do that. I show up the following Saturday and to my surprise, the boots were not done. He told me that they would be done on Tuesday because he was still working on them. I live about 20 minutes from the area so I was very annoyed that I wasted 40 minutes of my day and my gas. The gentleman said he would take some off the price for gas money but I told him that wasn't the issue. The issue is I specifically asked if they would call and he assured me they would be done by Saturday. Common sense and business practice makes me wonder why they didn't call me when he realized he needed more time? I left and picked up my boots the following Friday. The actual shoe repair guy helped me and low and behold, a strap to my boot is completely missing. They lost a strap to my boot because they did not repair the fabric that held it together. Even more shocking, he still charged me. He took off $1.50 for losing a strap to my boot. I was so appalled and had dinner plans, I didn't even argue. I plan on calling Monday to ask for a refund. The people seem nice enough and the quality looks okay but this is just one of the worst experiences I've ever had with someone doing work for me. How are you going to lose a part of my shoe that was there when I brought it in and still charge me $20???

It was great....see above. Plus, I took a pair of shoes later and the man there did a bit of work on them while I waited. They have great customer service here.

It was $20 for the zipper and $8 for the bag repair. Their service was speedy. The service was very good and everything I expected it to be.

It went well. Shu Renu will get my repeat business.

They have always done excellent work, my shoes are always ready when promised, and their prices are exceptional. In fact, the last time I had them stretch a pair of new shoes, I insisted the price was too low for the service, but they would not accept any additional money. Very friendly and conscientous. I have wide feet which has always limited my shoe selection, but they do such a nice job stretching them, I now have many more options.

The soles are tread-like with a continous strip that runs up the back of the shoe. I had worn the heel section down and had visited 2 other shoe repair stores in town that said they could not be repaired. My description may not do justice to the craftsmanship, but the shoes have been perfectly restored and now the heel is going to be more durable than the original that was worn down.

Very good quality work. The shoes look great. I'll probably get several more years wear. Much cheaper than a new pair of dress shoes that I wear only once or twice a week.
