Showecker Masonry

Great! They do beautiful work. Even tinted the mortar to match the old mortar, so the repair was not obvious. We have used them for a couple of other projects in the past. They are responsive, fairly priced, and do a great job.

Showecker was great! Quickly came out for estimate; responsive to messages/good communication; beautiful work. The guys worked hard & efficiently. They spotted problem areas w yard grading & fixed them very reasonably. Would 100% use them again, and I have given their name to several friends already!

Cost $4850- They replaced our very large chimney cap, spalled bricks on chimney and other places, shored up the sagging bricks over the garage opening, re tuck pointed the bricks under most of the windows and on one doorway, fixed cracks on at least 3 walls and other small fixes, they really knew what they were doing. I was surprised how much better the whole house looked with all the bricks fixed up. They did a great job!

I was so impressed with Bob and Linda Showecker . They came out to look at the site for an estimate the first day I posted the job and had a reasonable estimate within a few days (it was comparable to a few other quotes I got). They kept an open line of communication, got the job completed quickly, and it looks great. We did an addition to our existing patio, and they matched the existing patio lines well. They did a great job cleaning up after too. I’ve come to realize how hard it is to find good, trustworthy, and reliable contractors and was so happy we found Showecker Construction. Would definitely use again and would highly recommend them to others.

It went very well. We are in the process of selling a home in the Indy area and potential buyers want chimney repaired and crack in side of (brick) house repaired. Looked for highly rated pros and found a couple. One company said they were booked for 5-6 months. Then we found Showecker Masonry. They responded promptly and were out to do a quote within a day or two. They found additional problems with crack in side of house. They gave us quotes on the chimney and two options on the wall crack. Talked to the realtor and selected one of two options. This took a few days. After hearing from realtor, called them back and they were out to start the repair work the same day or the next day (do not remember). The work was completed in two days and approved by the realtor. Very responsive; good work; reasonable price. Would definitely hire them again!

They were very timely with the estimate and starting/completing the project. Everything was explained to me ahead of time and as we went along. The work quality was excellent. They did a very nice job matching the existing house bricks. The cleanup was very good. Bob even came back later to assist with correcting an issue caused by another contractor. I am very pleased with everything and would hire them again.

These guys are awesome! They did a fast, amazing job, were really nice, explained the scope of the job to me clearly, and their prices were very competitive. The top dozen or so courses of my 100 year old chimney were falling apart, the liners were cracked and the topper had blown off, they rebuilt it using the existing bricks, matched the mortar perfectly, and even gave it a little detailing. It looks so great, I'm so happy with it! Thank you guys!

EXCELLENT WORK! They did a beautiful job removing and replacing the concrete driveway. Corrected the slope, completely built new base course and rebar reinforced. (Was just a pad on dirt before) Re-sloped gravel driveway beyond the concrete and packed in new driveway stone. Bob and his crew are outstanding. They take pride in their work and it shows.

Bob and crew very professional and knowledgeable. Adapted to change in project due to unknown landscape issues with no problems and reasonable additional cost. The prices we were quoted were reasonable plus with the workmanship and the final results, more than worth it. We are very pleased with the results and will hire them again for another project next year!

I am happy with the quality of the work. It looks like what I was expecting. The price was excellent, they saved me a LOT of money compared to Bone Dry Masonry. Seemed to do things the right way instead of just doing it the fastest way. They also did a good job of cleaning up for a "broom clean" finish at the end. Bob and Linda were nice to deal with. Unfortunately, I signed the contract at the end of September 2020 and it was just completed the first week of April 2021. I would've liked to give them 5 stars but simply can't because of the unacceptable delay and poor communication on project status. The initial delay may have been related to their limestone supplier, but still, they should've done a better job keeping me updated. I was extremely patient because the backyard wasn't being used in the winter time, but had to be pretty firm that the project must be completed before I hired someone else. I would hire them again for something like an outdoor living space or outdoor fireplace made with brick or stone. I don't think I would hire them again for something critical and time-sensitive.

Very pleased with the service they performed on a 95 year old chimney that needed to be rebuilt from the ground up. Bob and his crew did a professional job and cleaned up their mess each day. I would rehire them again.

Bob and his crew did a great job. I had some masonry cracks that needed to be fixed. These guys know what they are doing. Linda is very friendly and easy to work with. Keep in mind that they are busy, but they will get to you. It is worth it. They did an awesome job and were reasonably priced.

Work was completed as quoted and looks good. Chimney was rebuilt from below roof line (a little more than was originally quoted, but the additional cost was not excessive), flashing replaced, one section of roof decking and shingles replaced, and a little bit of grind and tuckpoint on some other areas as needed. Happy with the color match on the bricks given the age of the home. Work did not start until about a month after the date that was originally discussed, somewhat delayed by weather.

I found Showecker Masonry on Angie's List and called them to come out to quote a project for us. We recently purchased a 150 year old home and wanted an interior brick wall removed to extend the width of a doorway. It was a tricky project and we had some concerns about the support of the second floor during this demo. Bob and Linda came to the property quickly and provided a timely quote. I was impressed with Linda's prompt communication and Bob's grasp of what we were asking. We felt at ease with them and hired them for the job. Bob came out on New Year's Day to start the project and it took only 2 days. They did exactly what we wanted and cleaned up after finishing. They made this daunting project seem easy. We were so glad that we were able to connect with such competent contractors.

Linda and Bob were both great to work with! Bob recommended the best way to approach filling in the windows (with a wire and cement) and then a layer of stucco on top to match the rest of the house. The work went well and the final result was fantastic. The only difference between Bob's work and the rest of the house was the color was brighter because it was clean and the rest of the wall wasn't. Thanks again guys!

Showecker did a remarkable job. Linda takes care of the contract and paperwork and Bob and his team are excellent. They are meticulous on detail and easy to deal with. They are very well versed int he process and the requirements of the masonry and concrete repair. They will go out of their way to assist with customer needs. I would hire them again and i give them the highest marks Angies List would allow. They are very professional and they know their stuff. This was a very large and challenging repair and they were very good. what a pleasure to deal with professionals on these types of projects

The communication was good and in a timely manner. The work was very good. Great attention to detail. The work was done to an older home and they blended the old with new seamlessly. The clean up was thorough, like nothing ever happened.

Linda and Bob are great. They responded quickly to my request for a quote. Gave me a reasonable price, explained everything they would do, and listened to my requests/concerns. When I was ready to do the work, they got me scheduled quickly. First day, Bob and his crew removed all the old concrete and put in the forms. They marked the area well with caution tape for safety. Second day, they poured and finished the concrete (I was fortunate that the concrete company was able to come out so quickly.) Third day, they took out the forms and cleaned up. The work was excellent and the price reasonable. No surcharge for a relatively small job (except to me), which I would have paid to any of the big companies. Everything looks beautiful, and Bob and Linda are very nice as well. Bob is very attentive to detail and to the customer's preferences. I couldn't be happier.

I called and talked to Linda Showecker. She and her husband, Bob, came out to estimate the job. She emailed a quote, which after comparing to several others, I accepted. Their price was not the lowest but was in the middle and they were available to start. Bob and two helpers put up scaffolding, tuck pointed the 2 sides I wanted done, and pointed out work that needed to be done on a third side. I had them do the third side and caulk around all my windows. The day after they tuck pointed they acid washed the brick where they had worked. They also installed 4 glass block basement windows which were leaking. Communication was good throughout the job which took a week. Cleanup could have been a little better, but was acceptable.

Bob & Linda were both very easy to work with. I was hoping to wait until warmer weather to repair my porch; but, when some bricks feel out, I had to find someone quickly. They were responsive to my request for a quote and they were able to stabilize the porch rather quickly. I'm frequently in meetings at work and that makes it difficult to answer the phone and/or reach out to contractors. They were able to deal with me via email and text messages, which made the process much easier for me due to my busy schedule. They also did a great job rebuilding my porch. It looks great. I would hire them again if I need similar work done in the future.

This company is very responsive and reasonable. I had a chimney that was leaking in numerous situations. I received a quote from another company that was $12,000...Showecker came in around $6,000. The work looks great
