The first time my fence was knocked down, j alright **** him instead of heart over anyways the first time I fifth I'm not doing anything what's going on callustut I read used Angie's list to call many masons. Most would make me wait days for an estimate. Showecker Masonry was out that day to give me a very reasonable estimate. After receiving estimates from several other companies I decided to go with Showecker. Not only did they show up on time the work was done perfectly ahead of schedule and under budget. While they were there I asked them to do the chimney repair on my home, And that was done so quickly and professionally I was very impressed. Unfortunately my fence was been knocked down again, six months later I didn't hesitate to call Showecker Masonry. If you're interested in a family run and operated company that does things absolutely right. This is the company for you.

The whole process was very efficient and professional. The new concrete driveway looks great! I would recommend Showecker Construction if you want your driveway replaced!

Some delay caused by running multiple jobs at the same time.

Bob Showecker explained what had happened with the settling and encouraged us to address some gutter and downspout issues. The porch and patio look great. They performed the work when they said they would. They were pleasant and professional. I also asked them to bring in some extra fill dirt for around the house. They brought it in and spread it all around in my sunken flower beds around the house as well.

It was a bit frustrating at the time as all communications were through Mrs. Showecker who then would contact Bob as needed.?? She submitted proof of insurance and emailed the proposal; they did not have a proposal form and she had typed out?the things they would do. ?He gave a verbal general cost estimate as he was unsure of what materials might be needed.? I had not been able to get another contractor to submit a bid. ?They started when?promised. ?There was some delay as they were buying materials at Menards as the job progressed. ?Their clean-up was a little shabby but the walk now looks great. ?They also had to problem solve in covering over the grate of?an old French well. ?I was leery that we might have problems from that but as he said the water seems to have found its way. ?They were not as professional as I would expect in Indianapolis but the walk looks great.???It is difficult to rate the cost as I could not get another estimate; it seems reasonable. ???

Called Showecker Masonry on 3/13/16 and spoke with Linda who is the contact person listed on Angies list add. Explained that I had about a dozen pavers on my patio that had begun to sink into the ground. I asked if they could repair something like this, and she said they could. Gave her my address and made an appointment for them to come out the next day (3/14/16) at 5:30 in the afternoon. On the 16th, noone came at 5:30 or any time. Noone called me to let me know they weren't coming. I called them the next day (3/17). Noone answered the phone but I left a message asking for them to call me, mentioning that they had not shown up for the appointment on the 16th and asking if they would please let me know if they were interested or not. Noone ever returned that call either.

I called on a Friday afternoon to schedule an estimate for brick repairs needed in the basement and crawlspace of my home. The lady who answered said she was driving and would call me back in 5 minutes to get my information. She called me back upon arriving at her destination and took all my personal information as well as an overview of the work I was needing done. She said someone would come look at it on Monday (the next business day), and that she would be contacting me Monday morning to provide a time. It's been 6 days and no one has contacted me.

This is a true "mom and pop" company. All work was done by Mr. and Mrs Showecker and one helper. We hired this company because they were the first to reply to our request for an estimate, their estimate was the lowest (just barely), and they said they could do the work much sooner than the other two companies. In fact, they began the work on 6/5 -- just a few days after we accepted their bid. They did good work; we are quite happy with the results. The only problem from our standpoint was that they didn't work continuously and finish the job within a few days as we had expected. Instead, they ripped out the brick on the first day, came back and hauled it away the next and then didn't reappear for almost a week. Although in fairness to them, rain made it impossible for them to work some days, that pattern continued: they would show up, do some work, then come back the next day or maybe in a few days and do some more. They finished on 6/24. I initially told the companies I contacted that I would like the work done by July 4 if possible, so even with their somewhat sporadic work schedule they finished by the holiday..

Bob and Linda came out on the weekend to review and submit proposal. Chimney had not been sealed properly from a repair job many years ago and the brick had started to deteriorate. Bob did an excellent job explaining what had happened and why. Project was a bit delayed due to spring weather but we did get the job done in a timely manner. Very high work quality, very responsive to tight deadlines. Both Bob and Linda were a pleasure to deal with.

We had two different areas that I had masonry done. He was doing it in the bitter cold, he put up tents and heaters to help dry out the cement and everything. They came out and gave us a quote and took pictures of the chimney and everything and they came out and did the work. They needed a cherry picker to go up there and the first one they got wasn't big enough so they brought in a bigger one. He did very good work and worked as quickly as the weather would allow. We were very pleased. I think it was a good price. There were a few days that he came in later than I expected.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The Showeckers were responsive and very enthusiastic about doing the project. Mr. Showecker himself, along with another worker, did the all the work. They worked 4 solid days on the project and even dismatled and restarted a portion when they weren't 100% pleased with the aesthetics of the brick layout. The work is beautifully done and they did excellent work cleaning up when done. We could not be more pleased and have arranged for them to do more work for us in a few months. Highest recommendation.

Problems have now evolved since Showecker completed the job, including discovering this week the drain pipe installed by Bob was only buried a couple of inches under ground, leaving the pipe exposed in several areas; additionally, the drain pipe was only extended to mid-yard, this caused drainage to flow into our back yard, as well as our neighbors yard. I hired another company to bury the drain deeper and extend to the back of the yard and into the community drainage system. I sent an email to Showecker, no response. UPDATE: Our basement has flooded in the same spot as previously flooded; obviously, Showecker did not fix our problem after spending $2000. BUYER BEWARE!

They replaced/repaired the brick wall under a window. Then they replace the front walk and front porch with concrete. After the initial install there was a crack in the walkway. They came out after and replaced the damaged walk. They also helped add my children's handprints in the walk.

They were willing to work on our tight schedule since we were having a roof replaced due to hail damage. The chimneys were rebuilt to better than new condition given the architectural fixes to the chimneys. Was definitely very happy with the end product. He took on job in spite of his busy schedule and he finished late the evening before the roof work was started. He came back after the roof work to take care of a minor correction.

These old pros did a great job tuck pointing our old brick home...and most importantly to us, matched the mortar perfectly to the existing mortar so the tuck pointing doesn't look obvious. We are very satisfied with all of the work done.

It was easy to work with Bob and Linda Showecker. Linda was especially helpful in trying to find a good brick match for our many repairs. Our brick home looks great! We would call them again for any further repairs.

The work was done with quality and looked good when finished. I was pleased with the workmanship.

I removed the old porch and brick. Bob and Linda were excellent in providing the estimate and explanation as to what was required and the time it would take to complete the job. Both were excellent to communicate with and responsive to my inquiries. I thought the cost was priced about right considering I removed the old porch myself. Bob and his one man crew preformed the work professionally and in a very reasonable amount of time considering the weather. They paid close attention to site clean up and care for my plants and yard around the work site. I couldn't be more please with the final product. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Linda did most of the communication and scheduling. They came out one evening and assessed the work to be done. Provided two estimates. One for what I had asked (new concrete cap, replace spalled/broken brick, tuck point as needed) and another for a complete rebuild from roof up which was roughly twice as expensive. I decided on the second as it was only 30% more than the least expensive of other masons estimates for only cap replacement and various brick replacement. Linda and Bob came out saturday afternoon to show us the brick they would be using and answered all our questions. They came out the next week on the day they said they would be here. Demolished the old chimney, cleaned up and removed debris, brought new supplies and got ready for the next day. Next day built the brick portion. Third day placed the cap and finished. Went very smoothly. Bob (and helper-didn't get name) came out the next day and corrected an issue that came up. Place stainless caps. Looks fantastic and well built. True craftsmanship and professionalism. Obviously knows his trade very well. Very pleasant to work with. Hope I can find people in the other trades that are as good and reasonably priced. VERY HAPPY with my decision to go with Mr. Showecker.

Work was completed within 3 days at a cost considerably less than 3 other quotes for similarly quoted work. Rainy weather delayed the start but Bob covered the chimney to protect against further leakage into the house. Linda provided samples of the replacement brick for owner approval prior to starting the job. Bob offered other suggestions on how the owner could self-apply brick sealant to other weakened brick areas on the fireplace chimney to ward off repairs in the future. Owner wanted to keep any leftover usable brick for landscaping use and Bob left any of the new bricks as well as some of the old brick, stacking the bricks neatly out of the way in the driveway. He removed any other signs of leftover materials. Pleased with the work and plan to have Bob quote out other jobs that need attention on the property.

I called the provider on Monday (7/7/14) to do an estimate on a foundation project at my home. Linda told me they would come out the next day at 5:30 PM (7/8/14). At about 6:30 I called her to see if she was coming. Linda apologized. Said her husband came home late from work and could we reschedule for Sunday (7/13/14) at 12:00 noon. I agreed. Sunday came but they did not. I received no call or explanation. Note, I was home for more than an hour after the appointment time and most of the day. I have caller Id and an answering machine. The weather was fine. Their business address is about eleven miles or fifteen minutes from my home.
