Showecker's price and value for the work completed was very competitive. They completed the work in a timely and professional manner and returned to complete certain aspects of the job that had to be done after other contractors completed their work.

Great job by Bob and his team - could not be happier with the work! We got several quotes, and the Showeckers were by far the best price with the greatest detail on how the work would be done. The project was completed in 2 days. Once it was done, we passed on their name/number to our neighbor to have work done as they were impressed by the work done by Bob and his team.

Wonderful. They built the new chimney (when they did the estimate Bob asked me if I cared what color brick and I replied no) the brick they used looked SO much better than the red brick that was originally there. It blended perfectly with my house. They said they had to let the chimney set for a while and would be back at 4. They came back shortly before 4 and said that it was supposed to rain so they were going to put up a cover and come back and finish the next day (which was a Saturday). The cover they put on was great and they came back the next day and finished up. They did a great job.

Excellent, from start to finish. High marks for communication-letting me know they were on their way, etc. Did a first class job on repairs. I felt that prices were reasonable. Also did a few small things beyond the scope of original estimate, at no additional charge. Very good on clean-up afterwards. Bob and his wife (who handles scheduling) are a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use them again, and recommend highly.

I can't say enough good about the work that was done. It far exceeded my expectations. There was great communication and the crew, which was made up of all family members, were friendly and professional. It was an all around great experience. Really good people who take pride in their work and it shows! My chimney looks fantastic!

Our exterior Brown County Ruble stone wall was in need of major repair...it essentially had to be rebuilt in large sections. We relied on Angie's List to help us select a contractor for this work. The decision was easy, we went with Showecker based on their responsiveness and reasonable price. They did a FANTASTIC job, much better than we could have hoped for, and we most certainly will hire them again the next time we need any time of stone work. Highly recommend!!!

Bob and Linda arrived promptly as scheduled on a weekend afternoon. I received a quote via email the next day. Work was performed around my schedule two weeks later. This is a small business, and Bob is a real craftsman. No upselling, no adding extra costs, no dawdling on getting the job done. The repair was performed as promised and the repair looks great. Work took a day and half and the site was picked up and neat when I returned home that evening. I would recommend this company to anyone for masonry work.

Great family run business. Bill fixed the issue and even came back the next day and did a touch up for free after it rained. 5 stars!

Linda and Bob are professional and easy to work with. When I asked for a quote they came over within a day or 2. Do not expect a line by line highly detailed quote from them. They do the work that they quote and extras, too. Linda is the business side and Bob and his crew are the on-site team. They tuck-pointed and repaired the exterior foundation of my house. They fixed several large holes in the basement and ground out/repaired many cracks in the concrete block inside. The time allotted for the work came in under their quote, so they adjusted down the total price charged accordingly. How often does that happen?!

Several bricks on an entry stairs had come loose. A prompt estimate was given to repair. Showed up on time. Work was completed in a very professional manner. The Showeckers were a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend. Would not hesitate to use again.

We considered buying a high-end outdoor fireplace kit and assembling. Before buying I thought to call Showecker and it was an excellent choice! They built a custom fireplace, matched the brick to our home, and it exceeded our expectations. The quality is amazing. I told them to take their time because I wanted quality and that is what I received. The dug to the frost line, poured concrete, and built from the ground up a 10x4x12' outdoor fireplace with wood boxes. Custom limestone hearth, wood box covers, and mantle were also made. A custom pattern was also placed in the brick. It is the centerpiece of our outdoor living space!

Excellent. Bob and Linda showed up to give us a quote and were very thorough and kind. They walked us through everything and made us feel comfortable with what work they would be doing. Linda was very responsive and emailed, called, and texted us whenever we had questions. Weather was tricky, so they were very flexible about coming when the rain stopped. They came out, repaired all sides of our block foundation and it looks brand new again. Bob also added a vent for us to the crawl space. All of the cracks are gone and the sides look amazing. They were very personable and caring. You can tell they care about their business and their customers. Very pleased with their communication and their work.

The slab foundation on my home was crumbling in several places, both externally and in the garage. Bob and Linda came out to the house and spent a good deal of time looking things over. Bob spent a good deal of time explaining what the problem was and all the steps he would take to make the repairs and prevent further disintegration. The work was scheduled quickly and the crew did an outstanding job. Bob kept me posted on progress. Communication was excellent. The finished product looks great and I'm confident there will be no further issues. The price was very reasonable given the extend of the work. I highly recommend Showecker Construction!

Nice work, took what I would consider tile not designed for the fireplace and made it work for the look that I wanted. Also, picked up my 450 lb hearth for me at the stone center.

On time, professional, work at a good price. Minimal mess for this kind of job and they cleaned up very well. No problems whatsoever.

Very responsive to emails. Started work promptly after hire....and finished everything within the week. Showed up every day to keep project moving along. There was one small hiccup with the railing they installed...and they came back out to fix right away. Very pleased with final outcome and quality of work.

Overall A for work performed by Showecker Construction. An outstanding strength is that Mr. Showecker provides on-site supervision. Some delay in start date due to weather which is expected. Scaffolding was up during the weather delay which was to be expected. Made effort to be least disruptive and kept work area clean. His team removed 30 year old pine tree in preparation for project for a reasonable cost. We received three estimates for the project and chose Showecker based on experience and cost. We were pleased with our decision.

We were sickened to learn that the brick used by the builder of our house was inferior and thus caused years of leaking that we became aware of only recently. Bob Showecker investigated and learned of several construction problems in the chimney as well. He explained them to us in terms we could understand and did a highly professional job of fixing the construction errors, including placing a new metal cap on the chimney and replacing the chimney brick. He also treated the house to keep the same issue from happening again. His wife Linda runs the business and was very easy to work with.

While they showed up to review the work in a reasonable time it took extra phone calls to finally get the quote. Price looked good, but it was unclear exactly what the quote covered so I requested additional clarification. After additional phone calls a clarification was promised but never received and I never heard back from them. Lack of responsiveness caused us to go with another contractor.

Work was perfect; very high quality. It took a couple of weeks but weather was tough. We did get emails as to when the crew would arrive. The house is much quieter now with the new chimney. They did so well that several neighbors inquired about getting the same work done.

Happy with the work performed and at a great rate.

Contacted the Showecker's on about January 20th with a quick response. They came out to give us a quote on all the work that needed done. They showed up and worked with weather permitting. Worked outside even though it was very cold. Bob and his crew were very nice and cleaned up nicely. Had it all done within a few weeks.

As expected, Bob did outstanding work, explained everything thoroughly, was prompt, professional, tidy, and personable. We'll be hiring him again for another project soon which will, I am sure, result in our third outstanding review for Showecker Masonry.

Did great work at a reasonable price. Chimney looks great like the original, but was slightly redesigned to prevent future water damage per Showecker's professional opinion.
