SHANNON CARPET ONE SUPER STORE

It was a horrible experience from start to finish. We had to call them back for everything- to get the estimate to finally getting our money back (which still hasn't happened!!) They told us the carpet would be installed on a Thursday- when I called that morning to ask a time, they said it wouldn't happen that day. I found out after pressing them that they hadn't even ordered the carpet. We should have been done then, but after they offered a discount, we agreed that if the carpet could be installed Monday, we would go ahead. I asked repeatedly for a receipt to be emailed because we had some changes and wanted to see them reflected in the final receipt. Monday came, and still no detailed receipt. I had to call the store 5 times that day- they said they would be there around 10 and by 3pm we still had heard from no one. When I called back the 5th time, I questioned if he indeed had ordered the two kinds of carpet we had requested and he had ordered the wrong carpet and then accused me of being wrong. After backpedaling later they tried to ask what they could do to fix it and we said refund our money. I drove by the store Friday and now they have a sign the store is closing. So we have no carpet, no refund (I've called probably 7 times about this- they say it should happen today), and NO RESPECT for this company!!! As they close they may discount their products but it is NOT WORTH IT. We have been lied to repeatedly and have multiple excuses but they do no deliver!

Shannon Carpet One was initially contacted in July 2015 to install vinyl floors in our main floor living areas that were impacted by a water leak. From day 1 we experienced nothing but problems ranging from installers that did not show up when they were scheduled then arriving without the necessary supplies, to the having to have the FIRST vinyl floor installed by Shannon Carpet One removed and re-installed because of problems with the installation. The problems with the first installation included a gross mismatch of the vinyl pattern between 2 sheets of the vinyl through the center of our kitchen along with multiple other problems such as gaps between the vinyl and under door frames which exposed the subfloor luan, lack of prepping of the luan which allowed the luan seams to show through the vinyl, air pockets in the vinyl and more problems with the installation. The first vinyl installation was so bad it had to be completely re-done, with a new vinyl selection because there was not enough of the original vinyl left in-stock and I would not accept their original proposed remediation which was to attempt to carefully remove the vinyl, flip it, take vinyl from closet and other areas to align the patter and RE-USE some of the vinyl (assuming it didn’t rip) There was also a problem with the way the subfloor was rebuilt in the bathroom and the plumber refused to re-seat the toilet because he said if he did, it would result in another leak due to the improper subfloor installation done by the Shannon Carpet One installer. Finally in Sept. 2015, after multiple similar problems with installers not showing up at the scheduled time, the second vinyl floor was installed. Once again there have been problems with the installation including visible seams, especially one seam that looks like an angled slice in the vinyl, but it is a seam, and multiple areas where the subfloor luan seams were not prepped. The outline of the area which was cut out and replaced due to the leak is prominently visible. The owner of the company, manager and installer from the second installation came to inspect the floor. The proposed remedy was to remove the vinyl in the problem areas and address the problem by stretching the vinyl to close the angled steam and remove the vinyl to properly prepping the subfloor luan then ‘float’ the vinyl back in to place. This is not acceptable. Shannon Carpet One has had two chances to get the job done right and was unsuccessful both times. At this point, given my experiences with them over the past year, the only acceptable resolution is for them to refund my money so I can go to another company to have the floors replaced properly. The owner, walked out on the discussion when I asked for a refund.

We hired the contractor to install approximately 600 square feet of ceramic tile in our house. They did not show up on the originally scheduled date. We re-scheduled for 2 weeks later and they still showed up late and worked until 11:00 when I told them they had to stop because of noise laws as they were cutting tile in the dark in my driveway. Obviously did not schedule enough people or time to do the job properly and on time. They came back next morning to grout. At first, the job looked ok, but, we noticed that it was very uneven when we placed our furniture. I also noticed some tiles moved when I walked on them and one was actually cracked. We called the store and the owner. They came out to look at the job and they agreed to tear most of it up to start over. They used a jack hammer in my home to remove the tile and they did not use any plastic or dust control measures. My house is now full of dust. I do not think they are qualified to do the job properly and I don't want to let them anywhere near my house again. .I have escalated the issue with the corporate headquarters to get the rest of the tile removed and to get a refund so we can hire a reputable and a qualified dealer to do the job properly. I will not hire this company again and I cannot in good faith refer them to anyone. I suggest you look elsewhere for your flooring needs.

They did well. The end result was great. It took a while for them to get out. The job performance was good.

He asked what the service was that I wanted. He said he would get back to me the following Monday. He didn't and the three times I tried to contact him, other folks answered the phone and he never returned my call. it was just a scam.

I'm hoping to have the work finished within the month. So far their price, communication and timeliness has been excellent.

Purchased Alloc flooring from Shannon Carpet store. The installer layed the flooring starting with the short wall of the installation when the flooring expanded down a hallway the flooring was at an angle when viewed down the hallway. I realize that the flooring must start at the edge of the room however the installation should have been measured and adjusted for the hallway.

They carpeted our LR & den. I had to have them come back to remove wrinkles in the carpet, more than once. To this day, there are still wrinkles.

The carpet was good quality, the salesman was professional, and our relative laid it. I would not have remembered doing business with this company if wasn't for remembering it was on Victory drive. I'm really don't know how to grade as it has been some years ago, and I guess we could have given an A grade.

First installer refused to make it right. He caulked where he cut the linoleum too short, then trim did not cover. He wanted to put quarter round down to cover. Shannon's Carpet reordered all new flooring and installer came out, brought new flooring but refused to remove old and install new. Floor has bubbles in it and kept coming up, so it was not glued down properly. After this the store manager and 1 salesman left the company. The new store manager was involved and floor had to be installed 2 more times. My complaint is with the installers more than with Shannon's. I will use Big Dog Flooring next time I need a floor.

We purchased carpet from them 5-10 years ago. I can't remember much about the experience. However, I was very pleased at the time.

After weeks of delay both by Shannon Carpet One and by the Mannington Floor Co. we finally had our kitchen, hall and bathroom vinyl floor replaced. Originally they were to glue this product down which they did not. Consequently we had large bubbles appear in many places. The installers were to be their best for this particular job. There was sticky adhesives on the baseboards, family room carpet and walls. The baseboard trim was not replaced in the proper places leaving some trim pieces "left over". Both of us were extremely surprised at the sloppiness of the installation as in the clean-up. Since they were the company that originally installed this floor, they had to be the ones to replace it or else we would have had another company do this replacement.

It was all done really well and professionally. They cleaned up and left it rent-ready like they said they would. Another thing I liked was that I couldn't see what I was getting but the owner or whoever I spoke with was very knowledgeable about what type of carpet is used for rental properties. He was able to tell me over the phone and let me know what I needed and recommended colors and things to look for. My son was in real estate too and when he saw it, he was totally happy with it. He said it was exactly what I needed. The owner could have taken advantage of me since he was talking to me over the phone, but he was very honest and straightforward and helpful in deciding the carpet. The day after I talked to them, they were able to go out the next day and complete the job.

The company offered an active big deal on your site. When I contacted them, they claimed that the deal had expired although it was still active on the Angie's list website.

They did an excellent job stretching and repairing all of the carpet areas except for one spot. The spot that they could not repair was a quarter-sized hole in the middle of the carpet. He told us that he would have to cut a long strip to fit the hole (he could not fill just the hole), and we did not have that much carpet available. He was not able to come up with other alternatives, so we could not have that one spot repaired. All of the other repairs were completed at a very high quality, and the technician was friendly and very professional.

Arrived as scheduled. Stretched carpet and removed all "wrinkles" Even completed an area that we were not originally aware of. Cleaned up cuttings & vacuumed repaired areas.

I was very happy with the quality of work that I received. They did a great job.

The guys showed up when expected, stretched the carpet, and left. The carpet looks great now and we put the furniture back in place.

They were supposed to call us at 9:30 to let us know that they were on their way, but didn't call until after 10:30. Once he showed up, he took a look at the areas that needed to be stretched and advised us that it was going to be an additional $600. We decided to not go through with this, since he was unclear about the details of the Big Deal. I would not recommend him.
