SEARS CARPET & AIR DUCT CLEANING

Work itself fine as far as I can tell. Terrible with the care of my place. Put on shoe slip covers but went in an out of the home with covers on; therefore, dragging dirt back in. It was a rainy day at that. Also didn't clean up their mess in and around the work areas. I had to vacuum 3 rooms, sweep the kitchen floor and reapply the dryer vent to the wall. They hadn't tightened it well enough so if fell off. Cleaned out an outside vent that had a bird's nest. They left all the debris on the patio. I feel as though I do 1/2 their work for them

I moved into a 30 year-old house where the ventilation system had never been cleaned. Although Sears does not clean vent covers beyond the suction process, they put the dirty covers back up without giving me an opportunity to clean them myself. They did come back out to my home to remove the vents in the ceiling and a lower return vent so that I could clean them using my power washer and a little degreaser. I pointed out that this could have been done on the day of service if they had let me know when they removed the covers and the service man said "yea but we remove the covers one at a time and then put them back up and most people do not have a power washer. " It took me all of 7 minutes to clean each cover. Not sure I would hire them again.

The job went very well. Carpet looked and smelled much better than it did before our dog got to it. We called them at 11:30 in the morning, they were at the house by 1:45, and done at 2:20. Very prompt service.

They do a great job but they very highly pressure you to buy more services. They obviously work on commission.

Horrible experience. Team wanted to charge more than was quoted to me on the phone.Add states 429.00 for 15 vents,I have 18 vents so I was quoted 357.00 by the owner(or so she said) Upon coming out they found 1 more vent and the cost went up to 432.00. I was also told by the owner she would include the dryer vent as well. The workers said NO,that would be 100.00 more. The team called the office after going out in my garage so I could not hear. They came back and said I was wrong.I asked him to redial the number and spoke to the same person who agreed with them. I should have asked them to leave,but we were getting some rooms painted and did not want to wait. The order confirmation I have in my email states ; Dryer Vent 149.00-quantity 1 149.00 Vent standard 299.00-quantity 1 299.00 Vent standard 25.00 x3 = 75.00 75.00 Discount (99.00) (99.00) Trip charge 8.00 8.00 Total 432.00 Now the Sales receipt is so botched-up,marked out and written over that you cannot really tell what I received for my 432.00. I DEFINITELY DID NOT GET MY DRYER VENT CLEANED !! THEY DID NOT DO IT !! Now for the rest of the experience. The team parked their truck at the entrance to my garage door (not the minimum amount of feet that NADCO requires,and by the way Jim the manager told me they were Nadco certified which I found out was a lie !) This truck continued to run even after they were done with the job while they were upstairs trying to talk me into a new furnace,new a-coil.This caused a huge build-up of carbon monoxide in my home which set off my carbon monoxide detector and made me sick. They had no concern except to tell me that I should open all my doors and windows and turn on my ceiling fans.While they were in a rush to get out of my home I noticed the large hose that had been attached to my furnace had a huge gaping hole in it. When I told Jim about it he said that the hose had probably been laying on the hot motor causing it to melt and in turn to damage the hose. I have noticed NO difference in the dust in my home since they were here.This leads me to believe the suction could not have been strong enough to do the job it was suppose to do. I want my 432.00 back,but after multiple calls and emails I now get no response.

They said they would be here between 9 AM and noon and would call when they were on their way. Mickey called when he was 25 minutes out and showed up on time at 11:10am. Mickey was very professional and did a great job. This is the second time we have used them, as we were very impressed by the first time. Our carpets look great and are ready for our grandbaby to start crawling on. We are very pleased once again!

First thing is they said they would call when they were on the way but they did not do that. Next I do not believe they wore footsies but I can't swear to that. What I'm sure about though is that they moved some furniture and when the tech asked me to look at the end result as he was getting ready to leave I was suprised to find the most of the furniture was not put back. When I asked him about that he said most people wait for the carpet to dry first and I told him I can't have the kitchen like that (full of 6 dining room chairs), plus a heavy globe. I was given the feeling that I was asking for something extra so I just asked him to help me put the chairs back. There were a handful of other things I put back myself after he left. I felt like something was wrong about this especially after I hurt my back putting a couple of the heavy things back so I called the company to ask if this was normal and was told that they should have asked me if I wanted to leave out the furniture for the floor to dry first and if not they should have put it all back and put blocks under the wood-stained furniture to prevent staining while the floor was still wet. When I helped him put the heavy wooded dining room chairs back he did not say a word about protecting the floor with any kind of blocks. The woman on the phone was very nice and offered to send them back here to do that but I told her I'd rather do it myself so out they went and back in the kitchen. I will put them back tomorrow. I would not hire them again.

The work was performed by two separate crews. They each called ahead by about 30 minutes and showed up a the scheduled time. They performed their work quickly and professionally. We are very happy with the results.

The experience went well. They were on time and cleaned my carpets. There were a couple so stains that they were able to remove. I had just closed on my home and wanted the entire home cleaned prior to moving in. I only have my carpets cleaned by Sears. I like this company because they will move your furniture for you and clean your carpets.

They cleaned my carpet following the purchase of a ?multi area? deal. Upon scheduling the staff on the phone told me they could not do ?stairs? as an area?when it was listed as available on the website. Once I cancelled they called and stated they would do stairs and the first person was wrong. When the crew arrived they suggested several ?upsell? items?such as ?protector? and other areas that might be seen from the freshly cleaned area. Overall they did good work and the carpet looks nice however the customer service and sales pitch could use some work.

First crew came out, did not wear shoe covers on our upstairs carpet (which was BRAND new), and charged us more than originally quoted over the phone. The technician was very unprofessional and rude in his communication with us. Once the carpet dried a stain reappeared. We called and they scheduled another crew to come out; this crew was more professional and they re-cleaned the spot for us, however based on the unprofessionalism of the first technician we will not be using or recommending this business in the future.

My experience with them was great. They did most of the house. We actually moved in to our house, so there wasn't any furniture and it was pretty easy. They got all the stains out. They were on time and courteous. They told us not to walk on the carpets for 12 hours, but it dried pretty fast. I chose them because they were affordable.

They came on time and did a good job . I only reason to give b on quality was that I found two spots that were still dirty when Mona dried . They did not charge me extra for 4 cushions when I asked them . This was lot cheaper than others including stanley steamer .

Basic Cleaning $200. Crawl Space Access $250. Sanitizing $10 per vent/$130 sub-total. Total Cost $580 plus taxes.

Service was prompt and professional. Sears beat the price of similar service from other companies due to a seasonal special.

They were prompt, did on excellent job, cleaned up and answered any questions we had. also cought the day a few time when he was trying to escape.

We were renting a house and when we got into the house to prepare for move in, we found the carpet to be in need of cleaning. We were going to just do it ourselves but one room had such bad stains. We only had 2 days until we moved in so we new it would be tough to find a cleaner who could fit us in on such short noticed. I contacted another Carpet Cleaning company we found on Angie's List to see if they could do it. They were so friendly but booked solid. He had already contacted his friend at Sears to see if they had the availability. He vouched for them and asked if I wanted my info passed on. I agreed. Within 30 minutes, Sears contacted me and had scheduled to be out to the house first thing the next morning. The guys met me there and did a walk through looking at each of the carpets and hearing my concerns. I was impressed they new what brand of carpet it was and assured me it would clean well. They got started and I ran a couple errands. They called when they were finished. Carpet looked almost brand new! All the stains came out and it looked great! We so appreciate that they were able to come out last minute!

I called to get a quote for air duct cleaning, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the company I did not use the company but I would in the future.

They were very professional and the duct cleaning went well. No mess. There was a problem with the dryer vent. It was not installed properly and the probablity of a fire was quite possible. I appreciated his honesty and we had the problem corrected right away.

Great service, on time and affordable. The person that came to perform the service was very explanatory and professional. Their service was shortly felt as allergies improve considerably.

We noticed afterwards that there were three large spots on the carpet that were not there before. They came out and admitted their mistake. They had moved a table on the carpet while it was wet and the wood had stained the carpet. They told us the carpet was not cleanable. and it was their fault. They gave us a number to call. We called the number three times and kept getting the run around to call other people. After finally being given the number of the person that could actually handle the situation, we called the person in charge. We have called him more than three times and he will not return my phone call. The people who did the damage were very nice and honest. I am very upset at the person who will not return my call. I have never had a problem with them before and we have used them multiple times. I just cannot believe this person will not return the phone call.

Two men arrived and I requested adetailed discription of the process which they provided. They then prformed those serviced very well

They misled me in two ways. First they quoted an inaccurate price. I told them the dryer vent would be 23-25 feet above the ground, but the service tech told me that since he had to put another extension on his ladder it would be an additional $10. I'm not mad at the service techs, but the guy who misled me on the phone. Secondly, I wanted them to brush the inside of the vent and scrape off the lint, they just used a spinning air nozzle to clean it. It did OK, but I wanted the brush and was promised that. Lastly they blew the lint all over the yard. Other than that the service techs were fine, but I was misled to over the phone prior to the work being done. I won't be using them in the future.

Two service men came on time and did the necessary work on a Thursday. BUT they cut a hole in the main duct that sends hot air from the furnace in the basement to all parts of the house. When they finished cleaning the ducts, they patched the hole with a metal patch, held on by pieces of tape. The glue on the tape promptly gave way and the metal patch fell off. We re-attached it with duct tape which also soon fell off. We reattached the metal patch repeatedly with the same eventual results. It was a weekend, so no service was provided to us until Monday. It was very cold everywhere in the house except in our unfinished basement. When they came on Monday, they reattached the patch with several screws and so far it is holding nicely. We wonder why they didn't do that in the first place!
