Shane was quick to come out and give an estimate - with two choices in screen type with different price options. Once we chose an option, we were able to schedule him to come out within a couple of weeks. Shane completed the entire porch in less than a day (with his wife's help). He had all materials ready, put the screen up tightly and securely, and properly replaced all framing. We've had screen replaced in the past that ripped out quickly. He used plenty of staples, and even rolled in the edge and re-stapled that - I'm confident it will hole, but he promised to return and fix it under warranty if we have any problems. We were very happy with the work, and will be glad to have him back again.

Shane was prompt, professional and took time to answer questions. His work was excellent. I would use him again.

I would rate them "A." That was actually quite successful for us. I did pay more but I don't recall how much more. But the deal was for the very small windows and we have standard sized double hung windows. He did charge us some more but on my recollection it wasn't so significant that we decided he couldn't finish it.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went very well. He showed up when we had the appointment scheduled. He was completed within an hour and did a good job. He explained to me exactly what he had done and let me look at the work before he had left. There were no issues at all; it was an overall positive experience. He returned my phone calls, kept scheduled times and did exactly what they said they would do. I had to pay a little more because I had him do an extra window for me.

Shane called about 30 min. before he was due, and informed us that he was running a little late. He arrived within the time he had specified. He got right to work on taking the screens down and worked steadily until he finished all 15 screens. It took all of about 2.5 hours and the new screens look great. He was very pleasant and efficient. I would definitely use him again for any rescreening or other services he offers.

Shane Johnson (owner) drove out to my property and replaced the entire set of windows on the front of my home. We had catastrophic hail damage that punched fist sized holes in my screens. Shane was punctual, professional, and very flexible. He gave me two quotes, one for my insurance (for reimbursement purposes), and one for my actual balance (taking into account the discount he offers when referred through Angie's List as well as for multiple screens). Overall, I saved over $120 because he believes that the discount applies to the customer and not the insurance company ( I verified this with my insurance carrier, and they agreed). I find Shane's integrity and ethics outstanding and I would highly recommend his services to any of my friends in the Indy area. He lives on the east side, but was willing to drive out to Avon to help me. THAT is dedication and reliability to me. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Shane, and I will do my best to mention your name any time I see an opportunity to do so.

Very nice & professional, but the screening loosened and didn't stay in place. When I had my regular handyman take a look, he showed me how that spline (the cording used to hold screen in place) was not big/wide enough. He replaced it with new, larger spline. Screens haven't moved since.

Shane was excellent. He worked around my schedule and provided superb service. I will certainly use him in the future.

Great -- our screen had been bad for 2 or 3 years. After getting the phone quoted price of $35 to come to our house and re-screen our window, was too good to be true. But it got better I got a $5 discount for finding him on Angies List and he was done in 10 minutes.

Great. Friendly, efficient, and did good work

I ended up getting a refund. Shortly before the vendor was to show up, I received an email in which it was mentioned for the first time that I had to remove the screens from my windows. This was not in the fine print when I bought the deal. I had some less than pleasant exchanges with the vendor regarding this requirement. If I have to do part of the work, it's not such a good deal. Furthermore, if I am going to take the screens out (and presumably put them back in) I might as well really save myself some money and take the frames to Home Depot. I thought I was paying for a complete service at my home. I was trying to avoid writing a bad review, since I didn't spend a lot of time waiting for the vendor, and I got my money back, but Angie's list keeps sending me emails to write a review.

Shane did a great job at replacing a few torn screens on our porch. He also installed a cat door so that our cat would stop tearing through the screens! He was punctual and always went above and beyond the job - coming back a few times to make improvements!

My call to them was answered immediatly. Price was quoted and the repair scheduled in a very friendly and professional manner.I am very satisfied with the work and th price.

If you are thinking about calling Shane to take care of your screens?DO IT!!! He took care of many damaged screens at our home in a timely manner, at a very reasonable price. He even helped to remove and replace some of the screens that gave us some difficulty. All this with a smile and pleasant attitude. Give him a call. Found the listing on the web page and was intrigued by the previous reviews. Called the office and left my phone number. Received a return call the next day. Dawn fully and cheerfully explained the pricing and scope of work. I was so impressed that I scheduled the repair appointment that day for two weeks out on a Sunday. I received a call questioning the repair needed on one problem screen to be sure that the installer would have the correct repair items. Shane (the owner/installer) e-mailed further questions just to be sure about the size, make of screen, and repair needed. Sent a picture to him via iPhone. Nice attention to detail on their part. Shane and Dawn arrived as scheduled and promptly set to work. They were very easy to work with, competent in their skills, neat, and professional. The workmanship was superb. An additional screen was added to the repair list with no complaint on their part. A one year warranty was given. Even with the additional screen, the price was less than the phone estimate because the problem screen proved an easier fix. The "deals" listed Angies List were honored cheerfully. Will be sure to have them return for the next "screen accident". Just nice people!

I contacted this company in early May. They gave me the information on the process and approximately how long it would take. They also gave me the price. When we discussed a date they were very flexible on scheduling and worked out a date that was convenient for me. On the scheduled day I received a courtesy call to let me know they would be just a little late because he was tied up on another job. I appreciated the call and he was only about 10 minutes past the scheduled time. He worked efficiently and had the screens removed repaired and replaced in less than an hour. Shane was friendly yet professional. I would definitely use him again.

The owner responded to our appointment request promptly. He arrived on time. We discussed the screen repairs at length. It was our mistake to think the Big Deal would cover these repairs. We could have paid an additional fee to replace our large screens, but at this time, we cannot afford to put that much money into them. The owner was obviously knowledgeable about screens and the time it would take to replace them. We would consider using him in the future when we redo our porch and replace all the screens. I was sorry that we could not afford to use his services at this time.

They were very polite on the telephone and able to put me into their schedules within less than a week. Owner, Shane Johnson, made certain I was aware that he was running 30 minutes late. He was a very professional and polite young man. He went straight to work and I would say in less than 30 minutes he had all 3 pieces rescreened. He voluntarily provided and placed some ends which were missing on the part of my other screens where you pull in to get the screen off. It was a great experience.

The work went very well. Shane came out and provided an estimate and then we scheduled a time that was convenient for us.

It took only about an hour and everything looks great. We are now ready to open the windows without all the bugs and bees getting in like before. Couldn't be happier. My only regret is not finding them sooner and getting this done years ago! I've already recommended them to friends and you should be expecting at least 2 calls today. Thanks!

Fantastic. Shane is a really nice guy. I even got to meet his super friendly dog Frodo. He was on-time, did the work I needed, and was on his way. He ended up doing work for three of us in the neighborhood. All of us had screen damage from the hail storm. Fast, friendly, efficient, took the old screens with him. Found out he even installs storm doors, door hardware, deck resurfacing, etc.

We received hail damage to three screens. I called Screens - n - Things and received a phone quotation and an appointment to replace the screens. Shane arrived on time and replaced the screen very quickly. I was completely satisfied with the service and the price.
