Excellent experience - would definitely use again

Great experience! He showed up on time and worked extremely fast. Quoted price was the price paid. Would definitely use again!

I looked through Angie's List to find a quality landscaper. When I found what I thought was one, I called and asked for an estimate. He asked what kind of a job I had in mind. I told him that I had a landscaping job: remove weeds and to place weed guard and mulch in front of my house. He told me that he was booked until July and that "he was going to pass" and quickly hung up. I found this response to be quite unprofessional. I certainly understand being busy. However, he didn't even give me an option to book in July like most quality contractors would, but immediately implied that he didn't need my business. By giving the "I'm going to pass" and quick thirty-second exit, he made me feel like he didn't value new business at all. I have to assume that my job was too small, or else he wouldn't have asked what I had in mind before rejecting me. Keep this in mind when considering this company. Update: As you can see below, Mr. Schott responded to my review. His response was honest, professional, and sincere. In addition, he took the time to phone me to personally apologize. He even thanked me for my review, as it allowed him to reflect on the experience and to make changes to ensure that in the future he will always provide the highest level of customer service. Although I ultimately did not have Mr. Schott do the work (I'm just doing it myself) I do have a changed opinion of my overall experience with his company. His apology was unexpected and appreciated. Given this, I am updating my grade and would certainly consider contacting Mr. Schott for a future job or need.

It was ALL good - that sums it up.

Scheduling the appointment was very easy. 2 men came to our house and removed a very large water heater and refrigerator from our basement. Deal was for a full-size pickup load. There was still room available so they removed other various wood and mdf boards from our garage. No damage was done at all when removing the heavy items from the basement (or garage), men were personable and pleasant. Will use them again for other services that we may need in the future!

They did a great job. They came in and got the stuff out in no time at all. They didn't take up any unnecessary time, very efficient. I would use them again.

I purchased the Angie's List coupon for trash hauling for my sister. I called the company and they responded right away. My sister's house was a little out of their service area but they were gracious enough to accommodate us. John was pleasant and went out of his way to get the job done as soon as possible. They were professional and very quick. This is a company I would use again in the future.

I purchased Schott Service's Angie's List Big Deal and got a bargain for hauling away an old appliance and some, metal junk, and old tools. John showed up promptly. He let me know that he would be dropping off items for metal scrapping, which I was happy about. John was very professional, quick, and cleaned up. I would definitely use him again.

I have used in the past for other debris removal. I emailed and they came the same afternoon. Our trampoline was destroyed in a storm this winter. They broke it down and removed it in less than an hour.

John kept me updated on when he planned to do the work. The job was done professionally, thoroughly and quickly. He was completely done in about an hour and a half!. I am extremely impressed with his level of communication and honesty. A very old fire ring in the backyard received minor damage from a piece of his equipment. I most likely would never have noticed it but not only did he tell me about the incident he cleaned out the pit. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

He was reliable, friendly, flexible and professional. The whole experience was very good.

I called on a Saturday as we were cleaning up after a flood. They showed up on Monday. Very reasonable, polite and careful. No damage in removal. Very quick.

I called John on a Thursday and he mentioned he would be in my area the following Monday. I was supposed to text him our address. On Monday, I hadn't heard from him but realized I had sent the text to the wrong phone number (my mistake). When I finally realized this and talked to John is was almost 5:00. He said it was not a problem to still come and made a special trip up this way to get my stuff. He loaded all the stuff in no time and was on his way. As a follow-up, he sent a nice note and a discount towards a future service. It was some of the best customer experience I have experienced.

I called Schott's for hauling. Although he wasn't able to schedule me until the following Monday, he kept in touch and responded promptly to my questions. On Monday, he was able to come an hour earlier than he previously thought, which was great for me. He took 2 mattresses and box springs, a set of shower doors, some brush, and a water heater. He is a very friendly guy and hard working. I have absolutely no complaints about his work!! I will mention that I forgot I used his services a year ago and called a competitor before I called Schott's. This competitor was going to charge a service fee of $25 to move the water heater and the overall cost was $220. So I was very glad I remembered to call John Schott. He's a nice guy and he does a professional job at an extremely reasonable price.

We originally hired John last fall to just grind out a stump. When he arrived he saw that we had a huge dead spot in the lawn from the dry season last summer. We had hired someone else to do the grading, adding topsoil, and planting seed, but that person had not returned phone calls or made a firm commitment to be at our place at a certain time. John said he could do it all AND he would clean the flower beds and put down mulch. He also thought it would be better to do all of this in the spring. We decided to wait to do the stump in the spring as well. True to his word, John called in the spring and even though it took some time to actually get here to work (because of all the rain) he kept in touch and did come when he said he would. He worked from 9 am to about 4:30 pm and the place looks just beautiful. I'm so pleased. I'm ready to put my house on the market and I will certainly hire John to work on the next place to make it beautiful, too.

Mr. Schott was very responsive, on time, and came prepared for the moving of our things. Very customer service friendly group that I would absolutely use again in the future.

Wonderful customer service and quality! Very conscientious and wants to be sure you are happy with the job. Asks sufficient questions to make sure work is being done to customer's satisfaction, very personable, and honest. You can trust his advise to be accurate. A very hard worker! His customer service is great. Kept me up to date via email and phone regarding start date as we were working around rain. I will definitely hire John again. He goes above and beyond what is asked.

John contacted me immediately after I left him a voicemail. We scheduled a time for him to come and haul some small furniture and other items. He was very professional and timely.

John is very professional and responsive, and shows that he really wants your work. He returned my call promptly and scheduled the work to take place within three days. He called me the morning of our scheduled work to reconfirm and again a few minutes before to say that he would be there on time. He even sent a thank you note a couple of days later. His phone estimate was as anticipated and when he arrived it didn't change. He and his helper immediately went to work and enthusiastically completed the trash removal. John is the type of person that you are thankful for and know that you can count on. In ANGIE'S LIST, for rating 1 thru 10, John is an ELEVEN.

Excellent all the way across! From professional to politeness! Everything was perfect! Much better than I expected. I never expected such professionalism from someone dealing with trash. He was a very polite young man. He has a good head on his shoulders and really understands customer service.

It was very easy to schedule and John was extremely professional, courteous and efficient. He was in and out in about 30 minutes and my garage has never looked better.

After reading good reviews for Schott Services on Angie's List, I contacted John to see if he would be able to haul away the landscape materials that I needed to have removed. I contacted John in the afternoon, and he told me that he might be able to get the job done as soon as that evening, and if not then, he would do it the next day. He called me back a little later to say that he would do the job that same evening. He even contacted me to let me know he was on his way. I was impressed with his pleasant manner and his prompt response from when I contacted him to when the job was done. I certainly would not hesitate to use his services again or to recommend him to others.

I called about 6:45 PM and he was able to come and take my dressers away the same night! All was done in about 30 minutes, couldn't be happier! I
