 + 0 moreWe've used John for various services in the past so I expected excellent results - and he did not disappoint. He removed a HUGE amount of junk and unwanted materials (including the trash from a bathroom remodel that had been left in a gigantic mess on the front porch) from my daughter's house. He and his two helpers were extremely efficient and had everything loaded in a bit less than two hours. Frankly, I was amazed. John is the best and I will use his services again.
Description of Work: Hauled a very large load of assorted trash and refuse from my daughter's house. (Filled a full-size truck AND a trailer almost as big and then some.)

 + 0 moreWe were trying to schedule in with the movers so that John could arrive after they were finished, but they took much longer than expected. We tried to reschedule with John but he was booked any other time. He and his crew were very good about getting the items out that we wanted removed. We've used John before and he always goes well out of his way to help. The last time we needed help like this John was booked and so we used a different group that were well rated on Angie's List, but there was no comparison. For that reason we scheduled John well in advance.
Description of Work: John and his crew came and hauled away over a pickup truck load of items left over from our move.

 + 2 moreJohn did a phenomenal job. First, he stuck with us as the weather precluded work for a long time. He continually tried to fit it in between the rain. He was persistent and I appreciated it. He was punctual on the day he said he'd get it done and then did a great job fulfilling my expectations. The final product was well done, smooth and assuming the grass comes up, exactly what I had hoped. I'll use him again.
Description of Work: He did final grading and seeding on our yard that had had a new sewer connection installed. He also installed a sump pump drain line.

 + 3 moreAll work was done efficiently and in a professional manner, despite an onslaught of cotton floating around the entire day!
Description of Work: John and his crew removed 4 yew bushes which had been here for more than 36 years, 3 rose bushes, a lilac bush, and a large area of lawn that was full of weeds. They also moved landscaping stones and stacked them along our back fence and smoothed the dirt all around the house. Next came the edging and wheelbarrow loads of river rock. It looks wonderful! They dug trenches and laid plastic tubing in them so that rain water will now go from the house toward the street instead of pooling from the downspouts. Last but not least was spreading top soil, planting grass seed and covering the areas with straw.

I called this hauling contractor and left a message, he called me back right away, we talked about the items I needed taken away, ( large sectional couch, couple of tarps, old entertainment center ) he quoted me a price and then we scheduled a time he could come. He called me 30 minutes before he arrived, He showed up on time, things went perfectly and I am completely happy. Not only will I use this contractor in the future I will spread the word through family and friends.

 + 0 moreJohn was very responsive by phone and email. He called me about half an hour before arriving. Upon arrival he provided an estimate to pull-up and haul away approx. 850 sq. ft. of carpet, carpet padding, and tack strips from my basement. His price was much better than the quote I received from 1-800 junk removal. He said he could do the work at that time if I wanted. Perfect! It took him and one other guy about and hour and forty minutes to complete the job. They did a great job- really minimal damage to baseboards. I would definitely hire John again in the future.
