John is very personable and friendly. He maintains a polite and professional manner as he does the job he was hired to do. He responded promptly when I called to ask him for an estimate, he arrived at the agreed upon time and worked efficiently to complete the task. I would definitely recommend Schott Services.

John provided excellent service from the moment I requested a quote until the job was finished and approved. He went above and beyond to keep my toddler entertained while he "supervised" every bit of John's work. He is very pleasant to have at the house, and will do his best to do an excellent job.

As soon as I saw John's ad in the Angie's List magazine, I knew he was the guy who could help me spruce up my yard. I had overgrown bushes and small trees encroaching on my backyard. I also had very little real grass. I needed several different things done for the project: the brush cleared, the tree saplings and overgrown bushes dug up, the roots removed so they wouldn't grow back, and the yard reseeded with new grass seed. John did a wonderful job! He had all the right equipment needed to do the entire project. He removed the tree saplings, their roots, and the overgrown bushes. He raked and tilled the soil with a landscaping earth mover to prepare it for the new grass seed. After reseeding the lawn, he put down a layer of straw to cover the seed. This was large project that would have been too difficult to do on our own. It was well worth the cost of job; he gave me a very reasonable price, considering the magnitude of the job. I don't know how he did so much in such a short amount of time. But, I'm so glad I hired John to renovate my yard. I'm thrilled to have my yard back!

Contact was made quickly. Estimate given. He was able to schedule the service sooner than anticipated which worked well for my schedule. He provided a complete and thorough service. I would recommend to others and use again if needed.

Great! Called him and less than 24 hours later, he came to home, removed all of the materials (old doors, concrete blocks, some trash, etc.) He cleaned up the area where the materials were located.

Schott Services came out same day to pick up items from a basement leak. They were very kind and professional. I will call them again.

The excessive rains of June and July put the job immediately behind schedule, however, John was consistently in touch with us and worked within our schedule to complete the work. We no longer have issues with our basement windows taking in water during a heavy downpour and we have a healthy, green yard. Contacted Schott Services in the morning and was fortunate that he was in my area so John came by to see my job. He reviewed the job, gave me a quote and he started and completed my job on the spot - WOW! Quite a bit of junk and debris was hauled away from my garage, my garage is now clean and spotless. I am 100% satisfied! AND, to top it off, the total timeframe from my first phone call to the completion of the job was only 1.75 hours!!! No complaints here. Thank you John for a great service.

Punctual and professional. Had the right tools to get the job done. Got right to work and was very industrious. Removed items I wanted removed, asked questions if there was anything that was unclear, tidied up work areas after work was completed. Did not leave any mess behind anywhere. I was very pleased with the job that was performed. Would hire again.

The soil was built up too high on one section of our house, by approx. 9 inches. This put the soil above the sill plate of the house and would allow moisture to seep through the brick mortar and perhaps rot the framing behind the brick. It also made the first floor of the house look out of proportion to the second floor. John regraded so that the soil was at the proper height at the house and sloped away for drainage. It was great working with John -- a very good experience for us. He is very skilled at excavating / regrading, a super considerate person, and he prices his services fairly. Also very important to us is the fact that even though we are very hands-on homeowners, he did not once make us feel that we should 'go away'. It was great to collaborate with him. We would hire him again with no hesitation.

Best Guy ever. John was on top of it took everything. He also quoted me on some additional work that I was looking to have done as well. Came out same day, i was selling my home and cleaned it out but had a ton of stuff to throw away. He not only pick it all up but also cleaned the area very well.

John came out to consult with me on the project, which was putting down a new layer of gravel on my long gravel driveway. He had very good ideas to make results better. He was very responsive to emails, and was very accurate in scheduling the work.

I was very pleased with his service. He was prompt in returning my call, came when he was scheduled, got rid of a lot of things cluttering my garage, and was pleasant even though he had to carry some heavy objects down a fairly long driveway from the garage to the street. I definitely plan to use his service again this Fall.

They were ontime, and it was painless. I had whole Pickup truck full of junk and they didnt even flinch. It was over quickly and they were gone and my garage was empty. I actually, recommended them to a friend and they used them to with the same results. I highly recommend them.

First of all, I don't believe any provider has responded to a request for an estimate more quickly than John did. That alone was impressive. To be honest, I didn't even get any other estimates. After meeting with John to discuss the project I knew right away that I wanted to hire him. I commented on the number of work hours that he has posted (8:00 am to 9:00pm) and his reply (with a smile) was that he had "four babies to support and one on the way". What a wonderful work ethic! John ended up being able to do my project a little sooner than originally scheduled which worked out well for me. It looks like he removed every single speck of concrete from the area. He even pointed out how and why the original patio cracked. That way I will know what to look for if I put in a new one. I have already made arrangements for him to bury some downspouts in the near future. John Schott is an incredibly hard worker, outgoing and honest. I highly recommend him.

John put to good use a rain delay on another job to swing by our house the same day we called. John made quick work of it and worked right up to dark. As always, took care to clean up in the area he worked in. Excellent work, as before (we used John on previous job).

He did a fine job. The basement had a lot of clothing, boxes and papers that my parents had collected for at least 50 years. Also, many of the boxes had been in at least 4 inches of water when the drain backed up several years ago but they got everything out. John even swept the floor for me. Emotionally it was difficult for me but John & Matt got the job done very quickly and for that I was most grateful. I had to get the basement cleaned out ASAP because I had water in the basement again but this was coming from a corner. I didn't know whether to call a foundation company or a plumber. John figured it out for me. Seems my upstairs toilet was leaking and probably had been leaking for some time. John turned the water off for that toilet & I now have a plumber coming our Monday Aug. 17th. I am going to have to do other removals in sections. The garages are next and then the living areas and John will be the man I call.

I needed the trunks removed from garage in less than one week due to having new windows being installed. I saw the Schott Services ad in the Angie' List Magazine. I then read the company's review online and read some of the other hauling providers. I used the web site to request service. John Schott responded in less than one day to indicate a price and ask about a possible day for service. I gave him my phone numbers and address. He called and the job was done in less than two days. I highly recommend John.. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. He responded promptly to my need. The removal and clean-up went as I had expected. The service was excellent and I could not want anymore to be done.

We had an excellent experience. I needed to have some old and broken furniture hauled away to make room for replacement furniture that was soon to arrive. I had forgotten to schedule this until the weekend before the delivery, so I was on a tight schedule. I found Schott Services on the web and was able to text him and negotiate a time quickly. He arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and was done in about 15 minutes. He was very friendly and courteous and I would strongly recommend him to others. I wish all residential contractors were this well put together!
